Tim Tebow Foundation ‘Dollar Day’

November 29th, 2011 - 9:59am by Gray CaldwellOther posts by

The Tim Tebow Foundation is launching a fundraiser for the recently announced Tebow CURE Hospital in the Philippines. The total expense of building the hospital is $3.1 million, and with only $700,000 left towards that goal, the foundation is asking fans of Tim Tebow and the Broncos to consider joining them in this effort.

The fundraiser, “Dollar Day,” lasts all day today, and every Bronocos and Tebow fan is encouraged to donate $1 each to help the foundation realize its goal.

Donations can be made online at TimTebowFoundation.org and all donors will get receipts for their donations. All proceeds will go directly toward the Tebow CURE Hospital, a combined effort between the Tim Tebow Foundation and CURE International.

“I am so thankful for my fans and the support they’ve always shown me,” said Tebow. “I am excited for this opportunity for my fans to join me in a project that is so close to my heart.”

Tebow Puts Broncos on the Board

November 27th, 2011 - 3:43pm by Kenny LeganOther posts by

With the half winding down, quarterback Tim Tebow threw an 18-yard pass to Eric Decker down the seam for a touchdown to put Denver on the scoreboard. The score narrowed the Chargers lead to 10-7 with 55 seconds left in the first half.

The drive started on the Chargers’ 46-yard line after Eddie Royal gave the Broncos great field position with a speedy 31-yard punt return. The key play of the drive came on second-and-7 from the Chargers’ 43-yard line, when Tebow hit Fells over the middle for a 19-yard completion. Fells fumbled when running after the catch but the Broncos were able to recover, setting up Tebow’s pass to Decker.

The touchdown catch gave Decker eight touchdown receptions on the season. It’s the most by a Bronco first- or second-year receiver since 1960.

The Chargers ran the clock out to complete the half and the Broncos will receive to start the second half.

Turner Lauds Tebow, Miller

November 23rd, 2011 - 4:50pm by Max HensonOther posts by

Week 12 presents Norv Turner with the same two challenges every opposing head coach now faces when preparing to play the Broncos.

On defense, limit quarterback Tim Tebow’s ability to extend plays.

On offense, keep linebacker Von Miller out of your backfield.

Easier said than done.

“We’ve played against (Tebow) twice now, and the impression he’s made I think with our guys is that you have to work to get him and then get him on the ground,” Turner said in a conference call Wednesday. “He’s an elusive runner, and he’s a very big, strong guy, so you have to do a good job of staying alive, and everyone’s got to rally to the ball.”
