Q3 – 15:00: After winning the opening coin toss and deferring possession, the Broncos will get the ball first here in the second half. One injury update for the Raiders — rookie TE Brandon Myers has a concussion and has been declared out for the rest of the game.

Q3 – 14:59: Janikowski’s kickoff sails out of the end zone, and for the fourth consecutive drive, the Broncos will start at their own 20-yard line.

Q3 – 13:59: Knowshon Moreno takes the first-down handoff on a sweep right, but finds no room and is stopped for no gain. On second down, Orton finds Tony Scheffler for his first catch of the afternoon — a 9-yard pickup. Facing 3rd and short, Orton takes the QB sneak past the marker for a first down.

Q3 – 12:18: At their own 30-yard line, Orton hands off to Moreno, who stumbles forward for a 1-yard gain. He goes back to the pass on second down, finding Moreno in the flat for a 6-yard gain before a tackle by Raiders LB Kirk Morrison. On 3rd and 3, Brandon Stokley makes a diving catch in the left flat for four yards and the first down.

Q3 – 11:38: LaMont Jordan spells Moreno, finding a fresh hole in the left side for a 13-yard gain and another first down.

Q3 – 15:00: San Diego gets possession to start the second half. Matt Prater’s kickoff hits the crossbar and goes out of the end zone for a touchback. The Chargers will start at their own 20-yard line.

Q3 – 14:06: San Diego starts out with four wide receivers. Philip Rivers is flushed out of the pocket and delivers a three-yard shovel pass to fullback Jacob Hester. Rivers moves into the shotgun on second down, but has his pass batted at the line of scrimmage by Andra Davis. Facing 3rd and 7, Rivers returns to the shotgun, but his pass falls short to Darren Sproles. Jarvis Moss had good tight coverage on the running back, and Mike Scifres is in to punt.

Q3 – 13:54: Royal takes Scifres’ kick at the 26-yard line and returns it upfield to the Broncos’ own 36-yard line. That’s where Kyle Orton and the offense will get their second-half attack started.

Q3 – 13:06: Orton starts out of the shotgun, with Jabar Gaffney, Brandon Marshall, and Eddie Royal flanked to his left. He hands off to Knowshon Moreno, who runs right for one yard before being stopped by Shaun Phillips. Back in the shotgun, Orton delivers a quick slant to Royal, who fights for a nine-yard gain. Facing 3rd and 1 at their own 45, a Charger is down on the field, prompting an injury timeout.

Q3 11:30: Roethlisberger looks downfield, but Kenny Peterson makes a move into the pocket and hits the ball out of Roethlisberger’s hand. Robert Ayers recovers the fumble and races down the sideline for a 54-yard touchdown. After an extra point by Prater, the Broncos regain the lead.

Broncos 10, Steelers 7

Q3 14:56: The Broncos receive the kickoff to start the second half, and the offense takes over at the 26-yard line after Eddie Royal’s kickoff return. On first down, Knowshon Moreno is wrapped up near the line of scrimmage for no gain. Second down brings a deep pass from Kyle Orton intended for Tony Scheffler, but it is broken up. Flag on the play — pass interference on the defense. That sets up a first down on the Denver 45-yard line.

Q3 13:50: After a six-yard gain on a pass from Orton to Scheffler, Moreno finds a hole for a gain close to the first-down marker — it sets up 3rd-and-1. The handoff goes to Moreno, and there’s no indication whether it’s a first down or not — there are flags all over the field. Two fouls. Illegal shift on the offense, which is declined, and delay of game on the offense for spiking the ball after the play. It’s fourth down, and Brett Kern is in to punt. Darren Sproles is back at his own 10-yard line ready to return. The punt sails into the end zone for a touchback.

Q3 12:34: Brian Dawkins is back in the secondary and Mario Haggan is back in at linebacker as the defense trots onto the field. Andra Davis makes the tackle on first down as LaDainian Tomlinson picks up three yards. On second down, Rivers is nearly sacked by Dumervil before throwing a ball intended for Chris Chambers that falls incomplete. Two flags on the play, both on the Broncos. A holding call on Haggan makes it 1st-and-10 for the Chargers at their own 28-yard line.

Q3 – 15:00: After deferring to the second half on the opening coin toss, the Patriots will get the first second-half possession.

Q3 – 14:54: Matt Prater’s kickoff is taken by Julian Edelman at the 3-yard line. He returns it 23 yards to the 26-yard line, and that’s where the Patriots will take over.

Q3 – 14:48: Tom Brady looked for Wes Welker in 1-on-1 coverage against Champ Bailey. The ball was tipped into Bailey’s arms, but he couldn’t corral the catch. Brady finds a cutting Ben Watson on second down, who is dragged down by Andra Davis after a 6-yard gain. Brady lines up in the shotgun on third down, and finds Randy Moss streaking toward the right sideline. The ball goes off Moss’ fingertips and he is shoved out of bounds by Brian Dawkins. Chris Hanson is in to punt.

Q3 – 15:00: The Broncos continue to hold Joshua Cribbs’ damage on returns to a minimum. Josh Barrett and Darrell Reid drag him down after a 19-yard return. The Browns will start at their own 23-yard line.

Q3 – 13:34: The Broncos defense puts the Browns in an early hole. The pocket collapses on Brady Quinn on first down and Elvis Dumervil picks up a 2-yard sack. After a stop on the run by Ryan McBean on second down, Cribbs makes the catch on third down. He headed upfield, but Dumervil punched the ball loose. Brian Dawkins recovers the fumble, and the Broncos have excellent field position, starting the half at the Browns 37-yard line.

Q3 – 12:19: A false start penalty on Daniel Graham backs the Broncos up five yards. Out of the pocket, Orton erases the penalty, finding Brandon Marshall for a six-yard gain. With Moreno as the lone setback, Orton dupes the defense with an end around to Marshall for 14 yards and a first down.

Q3 14:57: Two short completions and the Bengals have a first down at the 34-yard line. Palmer is being victimized by his receivers dropping the ball, this time Jeremi Johnson drops the first down pass.

Q3 13:00: Third-and-seven, Palmer with running backs on each side, finds Coles… but he drops another one. Fourth down, and Eddie Royal is back for Huber’s kick. Royal looks for space, but doesn’t find much and there is a flag. But the refs pick up the flag, first down Broncos at the 14.
