Raider fans are notorious for making Oakland one of the NFL’s most difficult places for a visiting team to play, a reputation that Broncos players enjoyed overcoming.
“There is no better feeling – other than maybe winning the Super Bowl, but I don’t know how that feels yet,” cornerback Champ Bailey said after the game. “It’s awesome, especially for the city of Denver. I know how much they hate the Raiders and so do we. It’s good to come in here on their turf and get the win.”
“There is no greater feeling in a season than winning here,” added linebacker Wesley Woodyard. “This is what it’s all about – a true football atmosphere. They hate (us), we hate them. This is what NFL football is all about.”
