Quarterback Peyton Manning, who completed 22-of-30 passes (73.3%) for 305 yards with three touchdowns (138.9 rtg.) in Denver’s 34-14 win over the New Orleans Saints, became just the second player in NFL history (Steve Young, 1998) to record at least 300 yards passing and three touchdowns in four consecutive games.
3
Linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who finished with a game-high 13 tackles, became just the third player in the NFL this season (LB Ray Lewis, Bal/LB Jerrell Freeman, Ind.) to post at least 13 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
There are only three players in the NFL with multiple interceptions and multiple sacks, two of which are Broncos. Wesley Woodyard (3 sacks, 2 INT) and Chris Harris (1.5 sacks, 2 INT) join Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson (3 sacks, 2 INT) as the only players to accomplish that feat this season.
5
Manning also set a club record with his fifth consecutive 300-yard passing game, equaling his personal-best streak that he set during the 2009 season.
7
Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas finished the game with seven catches for 137 yards and one touchdown to mark the seventh career 100-yard outing.

Third-and-3 from the New Orleans 27: Linebacker Danny Trevathan set the tone early for the Broncos defense, diving in front of a pass from Drew Brees intended for tight end Jimmy Graham to knock the ball away.
Third-and-6 from the New Orleans 27: With the Broncos driving in Saints territory, quarterback Peyton Manning found tight end Jacob Tamme for a 6-yard completion to extend the drive. Knowing where the first-down mark was, Tamme, dove forward to pick up the extra yard to move the chains.
Fourth-and-2 from the Denver 47: After calling a timeout, the Saints elected to go for it on fourth down near midfield. Linebacker Wesley Woodyard leaped in the air to intercept Brees’ pass and give the ball back to the Broncos. Denver took the lead and never looked back on the ensuing possession.
Third-and-1 from the Denver 16: Coming out of the locker room after halftime, the Broncos were looking to extend their lead. A stop would have held the team to a three-and-out and given the Saints momentum, but instead running back Willis McGahee plowed forward for a 3-yard gain and kept the drive going. Eight plays later, Manning hit Demaryius Thomas for a 1-yard touchdown to give the Broncos a 24-7 lead.
HEAD COACH JOHN FOX
On his thoughts on the game
“I’d say probably without looking at the tape yet, I thought we played 60 minutes. We started a little faster as a football team than we have to date. All in all, probably at this point without seeing the tape, I’d say, ‘Yes.’”
On CB Champ Bailey’s performance
“We’ve matched up Champ quite a bit thus far in this season and even last season for that matter. Champ wasn’t in on that last drive. We wanted to keep him out of there but all in all, he kind of gets that draw week in and week out.”
On holding a lead the whole game
On playing with a lead
“It’s a lot more fun than the alternative, that’s for sure. We really hadn’t had that much in the first half this season. We had a slight lead in the Oakland game here last home game, but other than that, we hadn’t seen that very much. It’s something we were going to try to do. The only thing, as a tribute to those guys in that locker room, is we’re trying to put wins together and this was our first time this season that we’ve got back-to-back wins.”
The Broncos rolled to a 34-14 victory against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
After jumping out to an early 7-0 lead with a Willis McGahee touchdown run, the Saints responded to tie the game just four plays later.
But from there, it was all Denver. The Broncos scored the next 27 points and shut out the Saints until near the two-minute mark in the fourth quarter.
Offensively, Denver was propelled by a trio of outstanding performances.
Quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-30 passing.
McGahee topped the 100-yard mark for the third time this year, averaging 5.3 yards per carry en route to a 122-yard day that included a touchdown in the first quarter. McGahee totaled 155 all-purpose yards on the night.
Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas finished with 137 yards receiving on seven catches, both game highs. Thomas also caught a touchdown pass.
The Broncos outgained the Saints 530 to 253.

MANNING, MCGAHEE HIT MILESTONES: Peyton Manning surpassed the 300-yard mark through the air, while Willis McGahee topped the 100-yard mark on the ground.
PRATER FIELD GOAL MAKES IT 34-7: The Broncos built on their fourth-quarter lead with the help of strong play from the running backs.
In the fourth quarter, Peyton Manning surpassed the 300-yard mark through the air with a 28-yard completion to tight end Virgil Green.
Tonight is the 68th time Manning has surpassed the 300-yard mark, and he has now accomplished the feat in each of the last five games – setting a team record and tying a personal best.
After the completion to Green, Manning is 20-of-26 for 308 yards with three touchdowns, good for a 154.0 QB rating. A perfect QB rating is 158.3.
Willis McGahee also hit a statistical marker in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game. He topped the 100-yard mark for the 33rd time of his career, a category he ranks first in among active players.
It’s the third time he’s topped 100 yards this season after tying for the NFL lead with seven 100-yard performances a year ago.
His touchdown in the first quarter was the 63rd rushing touchdown of his career.
The Broncos’ drive began with the team’s longest punt return of the season, a 22-yard gain by Trindon Holliday.
On a designed screen pass, Peyton Manning threw it to tight end Jacob Tamme, who got behind a slew of downfield blockers to gain 23 yards.
On the next play, the Broncos picked up another chunk of 23 yards as Manning found the leading receiver on the day, Demaryius Thomas.
That set the Broncos up with a first-and-goal from the 5-yard line. After a Willis McGahee carry, Manning threw it to Eric Decker for the receiver’s second touchdown catch of the game. It’s the third time Decker has caught two touchdown passes in his career.
The extra point gave Decker a 31-7 lead six seconds into the fourth quarter.
Peyton Manning has a near perfect QB rating of 151.7. He is 19-of-25 for 280 yards with three touchdowns – his fourth straight game with a trio of touchdown passes.
On the Broncos second-half scoring drive, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas broke the 100-yard with an 11-yard catch.
It was fourth time he has topped the 100-yard mark this season, the sixth time in the regular season in his career, and the seventh time including the postseason.
Thomas finished the drive off with a 1-yard touchdown, his fourth of the year, and caught three balls on the drive.
In the third quarter, he leads the team with 113 yards on five catches and a touchdown. The 113-yard total is the third-highest regular season total of his career.
