This week, running back Lance Ball and tackle Chris Clark have already signed their contract tenders. On Thursday, defensive tackle Mitch Unrein joined that list, singing his exclusive-rights tender.
Unrein has played 30 games, starting two, in his two seasons with the Broncos. He has notched 27 tackles, one fumble recovery and even one touchdown catch in his career.
That touchdown came on a pass from quarterback Peyton Manning, making Unrein the first defensive lineman in Broncos history to catch a touchdown pass.
He originally entered the NFL in 2010 with Houston as a college free agent, but finished that season on Denver’s practice squad, going on to play 14 regular-season games in 2011 and all 16 in 2012.
Cornerback Tony Carter and punter Britton Colquitt were also issued contract tenders in March, but have not signed yet.
