In the past two games, Knowshon Moreno showcased his versatility in two opposite scenarios.

Against the Kansas City Chiefs, the second-year running back put forth the first 100-yard rushing game of his career. He handled 22 carries for 106 yards and played a crucial role in grinding down the clock to keep the Chiefs off the field in a blowout victory for his team.

Assistant head coach/quarterbacks Mike Heimerdinger is headed back to Tennessee.

The Titans hired Heimerdinger as their offensive coordinator on Thursday, one day after Head Coach Mike Shanahan gave Heimerdinger permission to interview with the Titans for the staff vacancy created by their dismissal of Norm Chow.

When Heimerdinger signed on as assistant head coach for the Broncos in February 2006, it marked a reunion as he had worked as wide receivers coach in Denver from 1995-99. His move to Tennessee is another reunion, as he worked as the team’s offensive coordinator from 2000-04 before spending a year with the New York Jets.

Assistant head coach/quarterbacks Mike Heimerdinger has been granted permission to interview with the Titans.

According to reports, the Titans requested permission Tuesday to interview Heimerdinger about their offensive coordinator position, a vacancy created when they dismissed Norm Chow, who guided Tennessee’s offense the past two seasons.

Heimerdinger guided the Tennessee offense from 2000-04 as offensive coordinator before leaving for a one-year stint with the New York Jets. He previously served as receivers coach for the Broncos from 1995-99 and returned as assistant head coach in February 2006 following the departure of Gary Kubiak for the head-coaching position with the Houston Texans.

“The Tennessee Titans have requested consent to talk to Mike Heimerdinger about their offensive coordinator position, and we have granted them permission,” Head Coach Mike Shanahan said in a statement.

Sign Off Ideas, Roster Cuts, and Me as a Wide Receiver?

August 28th, 2007 - 3:14pm by domonique_foxworthOther posts by

To start off with, I’ll be at the Helio store at 4 o’clock on Saturday just doing autograph stuff there, so if anybody wants to come meet up, I would love to meet some of the blog people. I met some of the people on the blog at camp and it’s pretty cool. I like to be able to put a face with the screen name.

About the sign offs, I thought there were some really good ones, really good examples of funny sign offs and some good ideas. One of them that I thought was funny because I’m a fan of “Anchorman” was #80fan’s, “Stay classy, Denver.” I don’t know if I could use it though.  It doesn’t fit my personality, but it was funny. It got a good laugh out of me.

And also, micahpexa’s suggestion to use “All ready” in remembrance of D-Will, which I thought was a great idea. It’s taken on so many different meanings and it keeps D-Will a part of our team and a part of this blog, so I think I like that one also.

Broncobacker12 suggested that I use a different quote each week, inspiring, insightful, motivating, those type of things or whatever type of mood I’m in, which I thought was a great idea, except for the fact that then I have to research some sort of quote every week. So I think we’re going to go with a mixture of all the ideas. I might throw an “All ready” in there every now and then or a “Stay classy,” and if I’m in the mood, a college frame of mind where I feel like researching and finding some good quote, then I’ll throw one of those in there every now and then.
