Tim-tastic

October 24th, 2011 - 8:38am by mark_cooperOther posts by

5:23 left and Tebow engineers a comeback. I get that. Prater misses two earlier field goals which is not very typical of this kicker and here we are. Tim-tastic….or Cardiac Kid?? You pick. I’ll take it either way.

Wow, what a way to start. Earlier in the game I know what many of you were thinking. He’s trying too hard, he has a lot of pressure on him, it’s his first start. Right? Had to. I was showing homes all day to clients yesterday and YES, they are Broncos fans so in between homes we have the game on and are listening in. The comments above are what my clients said and you had to agree. We even stopped for a quick bite between houses at 7:00 minutes remaining and the guy behind the counter asks us if we were listening to the game and what was the score and how was the game going and it wasn’t pretty….was it.

Third down efficiency and the sacks we gave up have to change as we move forward. I’m patient…are you?? New baby steps have to be established and with “some time” we’ll know how this team plays with our new QB.

Worrisome was McGahee’s hand after the game. Our running game will assist Tebow. I think we’ll see a bunch of folks start lining up in the box to stop the run and saying beat us with the pass.

Can’t wait to hear your take. Many of you have been calling for a change, so what do you think overall.

RAIDER WEEK!!!

September 6th, 2011 - 5:35pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

Not talking about the Cards game, it’s RAIDER WEEK and with J/E in the house, I hope the rivalry can be revived. I liked what I saw last year…a lot of fingerpointing and trash talking….BRING IT.

Like Halloween in September. Loved playing them here and there. All the costumes and get-ups…way too funny and yea the best cheerleaders in the NFL at the time. You tell me after the game. Who has the best cheerleaders. BIG opening week for the game.

So I have a client that’s a Raiders fan… I know….. I do actually talk to him…he just retired for the Air Force and moved here from Tampa and we bantered each other through the whole house buying process and had a lot of fun doing it. We have lunch next week on the loser so I’m thinking a BIG lunch ticket that day. :o )

Still worried about depth but eveyone has to step in and step up when their time is called. So havne’t heard folks calling it the Black hole and such….I think we need to get fired up a little and get ready for Raider Week. Bust out the Orange and get everyone fired up!!!

Welcome John Fox, your new Head Coach!!

January 13th, 2011 - 4:05pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

This never went up yesterday so I’ll leave it up and change what I now said at the end of this post. I’M EXCITED BY EVERYTHING I’VE NOW READ!!! STAY TUNED FOR THE PRESS CONFERENCE AT NOON TODAY

Yesterday: For lack of getting out there and doing a whole lot of research I’m reposting the press release at the team site and then we’ll comment at the bottom about Mac and Doog’s radio show I was on today and some text messages I’ve received from around the country.

Elway Era!!

January 5th, 2011 - 2:23pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

Great interview today. Waited to post until I heard the interview. If you didn’t, find it on KOA or other sites and see what you think. (DenverBroncos.com will have the video and audio of the press conference on the site shortly.)

Sixteen years in the league and some tough years are “experiences” you can’t read about and/or understand if you haven’t lived it. I was there for four of John and had another three of my own in Tampa with losing seasons, but 16 years and all he accomplished speaks for itself, so I’m excited for the organization, Mr. Bowlen and the fans.

John’s a winner, a leader, a smart guy, and like I mentioned before the MOST fierce competitor I ever played with in my “ENTIRE” sports career and I played with Kelly, Testaverde, Joe Ferguson, Steve Deberg and Bernie Kosar was a redshirt at Miami when I as a senior. You know it when you see it and you know by what a guy does on and off the field. Leadership and respect are earned, not a given.

Tebow and Elway

January 2nd, 2011 - 5:44pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

Valuable experience for TT and with what is being rumored it could get interesting. See here about Elway rumored to have agreed to a VP position.

Like Kubiak said, anything John does, he’ll bring success, especially with this team.

Tebow Time!!!

December 19th, 2010 - 9:22pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

CONGRATS on your first start Tim. I loved playing in Oakland. It was a great place to compete. Like I mentioned last week, kind of a cross between a Halloween party on steroids and a biker convention.

Tebow time!!! The blogosphere here has been waiting for you to start, so I am not going to keep them waiting. I’m going to leave this one WIDE-OPEN for the fans comments!!!

You have finally received what you have been asking for since the day Tim Tebow was drafted. Let’s hear it!!!

Never Forgiving NFL

December 12th, 2010 - 9:08pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

To finish up last week’s post business, I did play with Dennison here but he was a linebacker at the time and we played against each other. As a coach, I agree with many of you about his credentials. He’s done a great job everywhere he’s gone, and he was trained by Alex Gibbs.

I also agree with the risk reward aspect of coaching your way through the ranks. I chose real estate to control my own destiny like many of you chose your line of work. I fell in love with Denver after playing here and wanted to stay in the area to raise kids and the school system here is as good if not better than most places around the country.

Who’s Your Next Head Coach?

December 7th, 2010 - 7:54pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

I flew out out yesterday late in the afternoon for a business meeting at K.C. and heard about the firing while driving to a dinner meeting. Then, from 8 a.m. until I got on a plane this afternoon at 4:40 p.m. K.C. time, running through the airport at the speed of turtle, I didn’t have a minute to blog or even see news updates.

I’ll be watching the news tonight like everyone else and will join in the speculation. I posted on Sunday’s blog to move here and had to laugh as I was accused of not (coming clean) all year on Coach McDaniels, and it was pretty funny in its context because you guys know I’m a homer, win-(L)word or Draw. I always have a glass half full….even if it’s going to take time.

K.C. Jinx?

December 5th, 2010 - 4:01pm by mark_cooperOther posts by

Nope don’t think so. No Jinx. Players play and coaches coach.

Here’s what I saw, and I know this will get some folks lathered up. I saw what I thought was a pretty good game plan. I saw a lot of jawing and finger pointing and hustle and “want to win” attitude. I liked the attitudes, I hope this creates more of a rivalry again…maybe?
