Hi there, Broncos Fans!

So most of us are aware that last Saturday’s match up against the Detroit Lions marked the Broncos’ first home game this season at INVESCO Field.  What you may not know, however, is that it was also the cheerleaders’ debut performing as a team and my first game ever as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader!

My name is Margaret and like 10 other girls on the team, this is my rookie year as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader.  I am so excited after my first game to now have the opportunity to give you fans a little insight into what it is like for us on game day down on the field cheering on our beloved Broncos!

Big Weekend for INVESCO Crew

August 29th, 2007 - 1:33pm by jim_saccomanoOther posts by

Not only do the Broncos play our last preseason game Thursday night at INVESCO Field at Mile High, but on Saturday the annual Univsity of Colorado vs. Colorado State University college matchup will be plyed.

And not only does that mean two games in three days for a great many stadium employees, but the Broncos-Arizona Cardinals affair is a night game kicking off at 7:07, and the CU-CSU matchup, for the benefit of  a national television audience, kicks off at the incredibly early hour of 10:00.

A non-scientific poll of football people and media scribes could not produce anyone who had any recollection of a major college game ever kicking off earlier.

So get out the field paint, because that means two games in a span of 38 hours.

Of course, no crew in America is better equipped to handle a turnaround like this.  The field has often been recognized as the finest grass field in the National Football League, but the crew is second to none in keeping it in tiptop shape and preparing for any contingency.

And like any group that works behind the scenes, the only goal that group has is to have the stadium perfect in every aspect for both games.

There is virtually no question that will happen, or that fans will get as big kickoff to the college season as well as a preview look at a lot of young NFL prospects, all the while oblivious—as they should be–to that group behind the scenes that turned it all around.
