In watching the tape of Sunday’s 24-17 loss at Jacksonville, Head Coach Josh McDaniels pinpointed several positives to build on.
Whether it was Kyle Orton’s five completions of at least 25 yards, the defense holding Pro Bowler Maurice Jones-Drew to less than 100 yards rushing and no touchdowns or Matt Prater’s 54-yard field goal, the Broncos did enough to battle the Jaguars into the game’s closing minute.
As the team looks to correct its opening game mistakes going forward, the head coach believes remaining upbeat about the performance is part of the key to getting better.
“Winning is a result of doing a lot of things right,” McDaniels said. “Yesterday we did some things right. We just didn’t do enough of them right. I think if we understand what we need to improve on, we can do that.”
