Q1 – 15:00: The Broncos have won the toss and elected to receive. Peyton Hillis is back deep to receive.

Q1 – 14:55: From two yards deep in the end zone, Hillis lost the football and the Browns have recovered. They will start 1st and 10 from the Broncos 22-yard line.

Q1 – 14:50: Starting on defense for Denver are Brian Dawkins, Champ Bailey, Renaldo Hill, Andre’ Goodman, Elvis Dumervil, Andra Davis, D.J. Williams, Mario Haggan, Ronald Fields, Kenny Peterson and Ryan McBean. McBean makes a strong play on first down, pressuring Brady Quinn into an incompletion.

Broncos at Bengals: First Half Live Blog

Q1 15:00: Peyton Hillis is back deep to receive the kickoff.

Q1 14:56: A jumbled, fumbled return for the Broncos, but they retain at the 20.
The Broncos offensive starters are Ryan Clady, Ben Hamilton, Casey Wiegmann, Russ Hochstein for the injured Chris Kuper, Ryan Harris, Daniel Graham, Brandon Stokley, Jabar Gaffney, Peyton Hillis, Correll Buckhalter and Kyle Orton at quarterback.

Q1 14:00: Sorry, Eddie Royal started not Stokley. Two big runs for the Broncos to start as Buckhalter goes for eight and then 14. First-and-ten at the 42.

**INJURY UPDATE** – Spencer Larsen is out with a shoulder injury. Not sure if it happened in pregame or on the opening kickoff.

Cardinals vs. Broncos: First Half Live Blog

Coin toss: The Cardinals call tails but the coin lands on heads. The Broncos have decided to receive the opening kickoff.

15:00: Alphonso Smith is back deep to return the opening kickoff. Taking the kickoff from five-yards deep into the end zone, Smith is tackled at the 25-yard line.

14:56: Correll Buckhalter rushes for three yards on the first offensive play from scrimmage. The offense takes to the field led by Tom Brandstater at quarterback, Buckhalter at running back, Chad Jackson, Eddie Royal at wide receiver, Daniel Graham and Tony Scheffler are at tight end and the offensive line consists of Ryan Clady, Seth Olsen, Casey Wiegmann, Russ Hochstein and Ryan Harris.

Coin toss: Jay Cutler called tails for the Bears, but it lands on heads. The Broncos will receive.

The inactives for tonight’s game on the Bears side: CB Charles Tillman, CB Zackary Bowman, S/KR Danieal Manning, LB Jamar Williams, LB Nick Roach, DE Henry Melton, and DT Dusty Dvoracek. No Broncos names are on the list of players not expected to participate.

Q1 – 15:00:Scheffler returns the kick to the 27-yard line. 1st and 10 Broncos.

Broncos at Seahawks: First Half Live Blog

15:00: Daniel Graham has called tails for the Broncos, but it lands on heads. The Seahawks will receive. Matt Prater has the unit lined up and kicks the ball to the Deon Butler who is wrapped up by Josh Barrett at the 25.

14:54: Offsides penalty on the kickoff has the ball at the 30. The Broncos defense is on the field, the starters are Ronald Fields, Kenny Peterson and Ryan McBean up front, the linebackers are Elvis Dumervil, Andra Davis, D.J. Williams and Mario Haggan with Champ Bailey, Andre’ Goodman, Darcel McBath and Renaldo Hill in the secondary.

Matt Hasselbeck starts the game throwing, but it is behind his intended receiver.

14:10: First down Seahawks as Hasselbeck connects with his tight end John Carlson.

13:10: After a short run by T.J. Duckett and a short completion, the Seahwaks have third-and-short. Hasselbeck hits Houshmanzadeh on the crossing route for 13-yards and a first down.

Broncos at 49ers: First Half Live Blog

Pregame:For those of you who have checked out our live blogs in the past, we’ll be doing things slightly differently this year. As you might have noticed, we’re using a new program that should update the posts for you automatically. If it seems like it’s been a while since the last update, just refresh the page like you normally would. The other difference is that we will only have a first half and second half live blog as opposed to dividing it up into four quarters.

And now, without further adieu…let’s get the 2009 campaign started.

15:00: Here we go. The captains are on the field — Daniel Graham, D.J. Williams, Mario Haggan, Champ Bailey, Kenny Peterson and Ben Hamilton are representing the Broncos.

San Francisco has won the toss and elects to receive. Matt Prater and the Broncos are on the field to kick off.

14:57: Players on both teams are jumping up and down on the sidelines as the game gets underway. The Niners are at their own 22 after the Prater kick.
