It was a historical night for the Broncos at INVESCO Field at Mile High. With 76 players suiting up in full pads, a record practice crowd of 13,402 fans filled the stadium seats to watch the two-hour session. Here are some quick hits from the under-the-lights outing in Denver.

ROLL CALL: Not practicing were Brandon Marshall, Brian Dawkins, and Rulon Davis. After practicing in the morning with an orange jersey for players recovering from injury, Nic Clemons was back out on the field in the same threads.

Your Resident Rookie

Football season is finally upon us and it’s already been a wild ride! My name is Christina Connolly and this is my rookie year as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. I’ve always been quite the tomboy/sports-addict and I love watching football. As a Colorado native, the Broncos have been a big part of my upbringing, and I am a die hard blue and orange fan! Now I have the incredible opportunity and distinct pleasure of being down on the field watching the action first hand! What more could a football fan ask for?

I wish I could put into words how it feels to be down on the sidelines. We’ve had a few home games now and what an experience it has been! Being in the midst of all the action can definitely be a bit overwhelming but exciting nonetheless. You really get a feel for how hard those guys hit when you’re down on the field with them. One thing’s for sure, I am staying out of their way! We had a close call at the Broncos vs. New Orleans game. Before one of our quarter break performances, all of the cheerleaders were waiting behind the north end zone for the quarter to end. Brandon Marshall caught a pass and sprinted for, and straight through, the end zone. Fortunately we were all paying attention and quickly jumped out of his way as he ran straight for us. I’m just glad the wall is what stopped him instead of one of our cheerleaders!!

A Cheerleader’s Game Day

October 6th, 2008 - 10:34pm by Romi BeanOther posts by Romi Bean

Hello Broncos Fans!! My name is Romi Bean, and this is my fourth season as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. I have to say that I enjoy it more and more each year! This year, there will be three cheerleaders rotating on this blog, so we can give you variety and different perspectives. Thanks to the extensive media coverage, it is easy for our fans to be involved and aware of the news, highlights, and rigorous practices of our Denver Broncos football team. Through the daily news, Jay Cutler Live, post game recaps and broadcasts and of course, the exciting Sunday match-ups, we can all keep our “Broncos I.Q.” very high.

In the spirit of boosting our “Broncos I.Q.” even higher, I thought I would talk about some of the aspects of being a cheerleader for the Denver Broncos. Connecting with our fans is of utmost importance to us, and hopefully you will all get to know us a little better by the end of this blog!

Front and Center

AAAaahhhhhhh my dear Broncos fans - What a start we have had. A 08/09 season that has graced us with its excitement, triumph and pride - all things that are not lost. This town homes a population of true fans and an organization that has honest appreciation of the support.

So here we are at the beginning of another season; a season that has us at 3 and 1 and many more exciting wins to come. I can’t tell you how amazing it is to have the best seats in the entire house. One of the countless surreal things about being a Denver Broncos Cheerleaders it the fact that we get to watch every single home game play front and center. Sometimes a bit too close as you get to bob and weave the players as the play extends the bounds, the refs and their watchful eye or the camera men that charge down the field after each and every play. It is a dangerous world out there on those sidelines…and I can tell you that we enjoy every second of it.

Little Bit O’ Everything

October 24th, 2007 - 10:02am by keela_harrisOther posts by keela_harris

As I sit down to write my blog this week I can’t help but reflect on how quickly time passes. Although the Broncos season has just kicked off, it is midway for the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders as we have been up and running since March! I have a hard time believing that this is my fourth season with the Broncos, and when I walked away from the stadium Sunday night, the stadium lights shut off, tailgating parties at a close, and the Broncos community celebrating a win, I was left in awe.

It never gets old to dance from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet in front of 76,000 fans.  It really is hard to put words to the energy in my heart when I step out onto the field on game day. I saw a lot of Terrible Towels in the crowd on Sunday, but I saw and heard far more Broncos cheers and colors–and it resonates in my heart that I am in a beautiful place right now, and I feel completely blessed to be a part of this organization. There was a point in the game where I looked up in the sky–pitch black, little flurries of snow began to fall and every face in the crowd lunged forward with pure anticipation.  There were 11 seconds on the clock in the fourth quarter, and moments later, Jason Elam came through yet again for the Broncos to pull out the win.
