Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas spent his first season at Georgia Tech with Lions Pro Bowl wideout Calvin Johnson. Thomas soaked up as much as he could from Johnson, who was a senior, which was evident this past December.

Thomas and Johnson finished the month with the exact same statistics. The pair tied for the NFL lead with 414 receiving yards in December, and both did so on 22 catches. Each player caught three touchdowns, which tied for fifth in the NFL during that span.

“It’s cool — two guys from Tech with the same numbers,” Thomas said. “It was just funny. I’m actually going to call him about it today and talk to him.”
