Cheerleaders: Holiday Cheer

December 6th, 2011 - 11:26am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Happy Holidays Broncos Country!

I think these past Broncos wins are really making this holiday season more memorable than ever! Alongside those wins, the Broncos Cheerleaders have some seasonal events we partake in to make the holidays a special time for everyone! As a Broncos Cheerleader, we understand that we have so many opportunities to reach out and touch the hearts of our fans. No matter what season it is, the cheerleaders are out in the community helping raise awareness for all the special charities and events around Colorado.

During the holidays, however, we have even more reasons to give back and be thankful for every person we meet. I’d like to talk about my 3 favorite events coming up this month!

Hello Broncos Fans! I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving. The holiday weekend was surely wrapped up with another thrilling Broncos victory!

It’s been a few months since my rookie report and I can’t begin to tell you all how fun and exciting this season has been so far. Not only has it been filled with incredible games, but I have also been fortunate to be a part of many events throughout the community. This past weekend in particular, I was able to help out at a local restaurant in the Highlands area with some of my fellow teammates.

Hey Broncos Country!

It’s my favorite time of the year – a time to sit back and realize how lucky we all are to live in one of the best cities with the best fans!

Today I want to take the time to look back upon some of the experiences I have thus far as a rookie DBC. I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful organization and to be fortunate to interact with amazing people in this community. To recount a few:

Cheerleaders: Special Halftime Show

November 16th, 2011 - 9:14am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hey Broncos Country!

So for my blog this week, I thought I’d let you in on a little inside scoop of the gamenight entertainment you won’t want to miss when our Broncos take on the New York Jets on Thursday. Be ready, because we are going to turn a normal football halftime show into a hat-tipping and boot slapping concert featuring none other than country pop singer, Jessie James. If you haven’t heard of her, you’ll definitely want to check her out. She’s one of our favorite artists to dance to and we have used three of her hit songs for our gameday routines.

Jessie James is the debut self-titled album by singer and songwriter, Jessie James. The album was released on Aug. 11, 2009, and debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Charts at No. 23 in its first week, selling about 18,575 copies. The song, “Wanted”, which is the song she will be performing at the halftime show, was the album’s leading single and peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Jessie’s song, “Blue Jeans” was also featured on the soundtrack of the film, Confessions of a Shopaholic. For me, this is one of my dreams becoming a reality.

Cheerleaders: The Monster Mash

Hey Broncos Country, Sam here. I can’t believe that it’s already November! I’m sure many of you have already ripped through your bags of Halloween candy and eaten up all the good stuff. Soon after the tummy aches and sugar highs subside, it seems that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. But before moving on to turkey and stuffing, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie (have I made your mouth water yet?), I want to back up a step and let you all in on some great haunted tales of the creepiest, craziest, and funniest Halloween—JDBC style.

As a reminder, JDBC stands for Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. This year marks my first year as a JDBC instructor. JDBC is a dance and cheerleading program for girls ages 6-14. About once or twice a month, the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders get together with the JDBC girls for a clinic where we all learn dance routines, practice good teamwork and have a lot of fun!!

Cheerleaders: Live Life & Love Life

Hi Broncos Country! My name is Katie W. and this is my first year as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. As a rookie, I am still taking it all in and am thankful every day for the opportunity to be part of this team. In only half a season, this team has given me unforgettable memories, the most rewarding being those that touch others lives. Through the Broncos organization, I have experienced this first hand either at a home game, community event, or one of our own fundraisers like Keeping Kids on Track.

I have had some of the most amazing experiences being a part of this team and I wanted to share a few with all of you. Nothing beats dancing at a home game with the best 76,000 true, hardcore fans cheering on our Broncos. Well, almost nothing — the most rewarding part of my job is spending quality time and giving back to the Broncos community.

Hey Denver Fans! How ‘bout that Broncos win on Sunday? I don’t know about all of you, but my Monday always seems a little better after a great win! Congratulations to John Fox on his FIRST Broncos win! Let’s keep ‘em coming!

My name is Heather and this is my 2nd season as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. As a rookie cheerleader last year, I experienced many firsts including: performing for the first time on an NFL field, shooting a cheerleader calendar, performing for 76,000 fans, hosting a Broncos post-game show, radio interviews, traveling to Iraq to perform for our service men and woman, and the list goes on and on!

Cheerleaders: A Great Surprise

September 15th, 2011 - 2:37pm by cheerleadersOther posts by

Howdy fans in Broncos country! My name is Lauren H. and this is my first year as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. So far it has been an amazing start to the season with exciting games, challenging practices and fun events and charities going on throughout the Denver area. I have soaked up every second of these experiences along the way and cannot even begin to explain how thrilled I am to see what is in store over the next few months. If it is anything close to last Monday night’s game against the Raiders, then I could not be more exhilarated!

I wanted to share with you all about an amazing opportunity I was given as a DBC. Last week, I was invited to visit the Children’s Hospital and see a young man named Alex who is currently a patient at the hospital. It was Alex’s 19th birthday and being a big Denver Broncos fan, we thought it would be a great idea to surprise him with some great Broncos gear and some birthday cake! After giving him his presents, he had promised us that he would wear his new Broncos hat and Broncos t-shirt for the big game against the Raiders! Alex loved what we had brought him and we were honored to be there on his very special day.
