Cheerleaders Proud of Junior Program

December 13th, 2012 - 9:05am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Did you know that the Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders program is made up of over 600 girls ages 6 to 14?! Yes that’s right, 600! You have probably seen them perform during pregame or halftime at some of the Denver Broncos home games, but the work that the JDBC does to prepare for the game happens long before they run out onto the field.

Cheerleaders Appreciate Miles

December 11th, 2012 - 2:08pm by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hi Broncos Country! My name is Tristan and this is my second year on the team. What a season so far — the Cheerleaders have had such a great time at the home games and at all of the events in the community this season!

I wanted to blog today about Miles. He is a mascot that is near and dear to our hearts. He is hands down the best mascot in the NFL, heck perhaps of all time (and I speak from a purely unbiased view). The Cheerleaders all get very excited when we have events with Miles. We get to ride in the Miles Mobile (a tricked out van that is equipped with a TV, curtains, tinted windows, and painted in Broncos blue and orange) and watch Miles work his magic with the Broncos fans we visit.

Cheerleaders Help the Hungry on Thanksgiving

November 26th, 2012 - 10:14am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hey Broncos Fans!

I’m Katie W. and this is my second year on the team. This time of year is my favorite for three reasons — family, friends and football!

This Thanksgiving I spent the day with some family members, friends and fellow Cheerleader Toni D., assembling over 3,000 meals to pass out to the less fortunate. I could not have asked for a more perfect way to spend the Holiday!

Rosa Linda’s is the local restaurant that graciously opened their doors to host the event. I have never seen more selfless, caring individuals come together and work hard to assure everyone in need had a meal. I was also blown away by the gratitude of those individuals receiving meals that I was able to interact with. This was a very special day for Toni and I.

There are so many things I am thankful for but especially for everyone I met on Thursday who made a special impact on my life. I am also extremely thankful to be a part of the Broncos organization and to make a difference in the community through their graciousness.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Holiday season.

Go Broncos!

Katie W.

Cheerleader Reflects on Visit to Fort Carson

November 15th, 2012 - 9:30am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hi Broncos Country!

Tuesday will be a day I remember forever as several of us had the incredible opportunity to participate in a special visit to Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, presented by USAA. In honor of the Broncos’ military appreciation efforts and the NFL’s Salute to Service taking place in November, Broncos players Ben Garland and Chris Gronkowski, cheerleaders Kim, Toni G., Toni D., Chelsie and I (Katie K.), Miles the Mascot, Broncos Alumni Randy Gradishar and Reggie Rivers and even Broncos President Joe Ellis spent time with our troops in Colorado Springs!

Our day started at Patriot Elementary School where the cheerleaders helped Miles with his Fuel Up to Play 60 show, a presentation teaching kids about the importance of eating healthy and staying active. The kids were engaged and full of energy, and at one point all 680 of them were chanting “Broncos! Broncos! Broncos!” It was like music to our ears!

Cheerleader Calendar Shoot – Days 3 and 4

July 27th, 2012 - 8:56am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Our Calendar trip to Mexico is flying by! Days three and four are complete and I have to say that the 2013 Calendar will be the best calendar to date! Cancun is stunning and we can’t thank Apple Vacations and the Riu Palace Peninsula enough for the first-class treatment.

Day three we changed scenery and went just down the street to the Riu Las Americas. This Riu has very different architecture and a beautiful beach that rivals our Riu Peninsula beach (but doesn’t surpass). We had another beautiful day and some great shots of our Cheerleaders!

Day four – up again at sunrise for a beautiful pool shot with Tara. This was also a transition day as 16 cheerleaders left Cancun for Denver and 12 arrived. Our staff had some free time, so we went snorkeling with the Whale Sharks off the coast of Cancun. Only a few places in the world that you can do this and Cancun is one of them! It was definitely an experience of a lifetime!

Check back for more updates on the 2013 Calendar from Cancun, Mexico!

Hola Broncos Country! Greetings from Cancun, Mexico, where the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders have arrived to shoot their 2013 Swimsuit Calendar! The Riu Palace Peninsula & Apple Vacations are our hosts for the week and this beautiful new resort is AMAZING! Beautiful pools, beaches, accommodations, delicious food and a very attentive and professional staff have made the first few days of our calendar shoot a trip of a lifetime.

Cheerleaders: Join DBC at ‘Bring It On’

January 16th, 2012 - 11:04am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hey Broncos Fans! Wow, what an incredible season! The electric wave of enthusiasm and Broncos spirit across this city has been simply magical. It has been amazing to see the support and pride that the fans have had over the entire season, and what a great season it was!

The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders continued the postseason celebration last week by attending opening night of Bring It On: The Musical. It was such a fun outing for our team and what an amazing show we all got to see. The dancing, singing, stunting and acting was so impressive and enjoyable to watch. I was in such awe of the talent throughout the entirety of the show – from the incredible voices radiating throughout the theatre to the remarkable choreography filling the stage. It was evident that a lot of hard work and dedication went into making this production so fantastic and successful.

Cheerleaders: Scenes From a Wild Card Win

January 13th, 2012 - 9:26am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hi Broncos Fans! Who would have thought the Broncos, who were 1-4 at the beginning of this season, would be in the playoffs and on their way to play the Patriots this weekend in Foxborough?! This being my rookie year, I am so extremely lucky and happy to have been at the Broncos first playoff game in six years and witness them achieve such an amazing victory against the Steelers. This game was one for the history books.

Every Broncos fanatic I have spoken to after the game on Jan. 8 has told me it was the most amazing game the Broncos have ever played. It was such as amazing game because not only did the Broncos win, but the support the team had at the game from Broncos fans was unbelievable. The roar of the stadium at the start of overtime as Demaryius Thomas caught Tim Tebow’s 80-yard pass to win the game brought chills to my body. As I looked up into the stadium, I have never seen such a sight. Broncos Fans were on their feet dancing in celebration. No one was in a rush to leave the stadium after that play, and the players were rushing to the field to share the moment with their teammates after such an amazing victory. But it didn’t stop there. After the players huddled in the middle of the field, they rushed to their fans and went around the field to celebrate with all the fans who stuck around till the end.

Cheerleaders: Sharing the Holiday Spirit

December 9th, 2011 - 10:37am by cheerleadersOther posts by

Hi Broncos Fans! I’m Lauren G., and I thought you might be interested in learning about ways that we get ready for the holiday season!

Like many businesses, we have an annual holiday party. On Tuesday, Dec. 6, all 26 cheerleaders and our coaches brought gifts to celebrate, white elephant* style!

*If you are not aware, a white elephant gift exchange is when each person brings a wrapped gift. Each person picks a number out of a hat, and when it is your turn, you have the option to either unwrap one of the mystery gifts, or steal someone else’s gift!

Now our exchange gets vicious, in a fun way of course! Girls openly steal from one another, even from their best friends! However, one important rule is to never steal from the coaches! Overall, it was a fun night full of laughs, food, and good company.
