Crucial Catch Campaign Kicks Off

As part of the NFL and NFL Players Association’s support of October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the league has launched a breast cancer screening initiative and fundraising campaign.

Each team throughout the league will commemorate the initiative during its first home game of the month. For Denver, that night is the Sunday night nationally televised game against the New Orleans Saints.

There will be stadium-wide pink pompoms, and the celebrated survivors will enjoy a pink champagne celebration during pregame, and will also be honored during a halftime recognition tribute. ZTA will also be on hand distributing game day programs and pink ribbons.

With the 2011 NFL season in full swing, the colors orange and blue are pumping through the hearts of Broncos fans everywhere. Broncos Country represents a powerful force of undying loyalty that extends beyond the state of Colorado clear to the other side of the world! I can speak for all 26 Cheerleaders in saying that we are constantly energized by you, the best fans in football, sporting our team colors through thick and thin. That is why beginning this Sunday I am asking you to add another color to your palate – PINK — and join us in kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Playing in Pink

September 29th, 2011 - 10:53am by Stuart ZaasOther posts by

Throughout the month of October, the NFL will support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their third-annual national breast cancer screening reminder and fundraising campaign.

Beginning with games this weekend and continuing throughout all games played during October, players will use pink equipment — including cleats, wristbands, gloves, sideline caps, helmet decals, captains’ patches, chin straps and shoelaces. Additionally, game balls will feature pink ribbon decals and special commemorative coins will be used for the opening toss.

On the sidelines, look for coaches and other team personnel to be wearing pink ribbons. Officials will use pink caps, wristbands and whistles.
