Former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe, who starred for Denver for 12 years after being drafted in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL Draft, added membership in yet another elite fraternity to his resume with Tuesday’s announcement that he’s one of 11 members of the Black College Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2013.
Already a Broncos Ring of Famer after being inducted in 2009 and a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in 2011, Sharpe joined another Hall of Fame Tuesday. After being named one of 35 finalists for the honor earlier this year, Sharpe is one of the 11 men who will officially be inducted February 16, 2013 at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta, at the Black College Football Hall of Fame’s Fourth Annual Enshrinement Ceremony presented by the Atlanta Falcons.
