The Broncos are taking extra steps this week to ensure that ball security is not an issue moving forward.

Eliminating fumbles was a point of emphasis during Thursday’s practice, as each position group practiced ball security drills, running through a gauntlet of coaches attempting to strip the football.

“I don’t have any secret answer for you,” quarterback Peyton Manning said of eliminating turnovers. “We just need to protect the ball better. That’s the simple and short of it. We focused on ball security today. It’s a point of emphasis for us. It needs to start in practice and then carry over to the game as well.”
