Montee Ball Draft Notes

Here are some notes on the Broncos’ selection of running back Montee Ball, courtesy of Media Relations Manager Erich Schubert:

* – Ball is the 69th running back selected by the Broncos since the inception of the common draft in 1967, and the first since RB Ronnie Hillman (3-67) in 2012.

* – He is the 13th running back selected by the Broncos in the first two rounds, spanning HB Floyd Little (1-6) in 1967 to RB Knowshon Moreno (1-12) in 2009.

* – He is the fourth player picked by the Broncos from Wisconsin and the first since G John Holman in 1965 (Rd. 8).

* – Ball is the fifth player selected by the Broncos with the No. 58 overall pick, joining DE Montae Reagor (1999), LB Bill Phillips (1972), RB Garrett Ford (1968) and T Mike Current (1967).
