Well, we’ve won nine straight now, and I think every week offensively as a whole we’ve gotten a lot better. Peyton does a great job of finding the open guy, and every week it becomes someone different. Our mentality as a receiver room as a skill set is just to work hard every day, stay focused and know that when the opportunity comes, to take full advantage of it. That’s kind of how we all prepare every week.
Throughout this streak, it’s really about us together showing what kind of football team we are. Setting an identity of tough-minded, hard-working guys that are very unselfish. The way we’ve been getting better every week just shows the character of every guy, how much they want it, how hard they work. It’s never good enough. You can always get better. You can always make progress. That’s a tribute to a championship-type team.
It’s still one game at a time, and it’s really one day at a time for us right now. Our focus is on getting better, period. Whether it’s little details in a pass play, in a run play, if it’s finishing every play in practice and carrying that over to a game, that’s our focus right now. Really when it comes to Sunday, that stuff will take care of itself.
We’ve got the Cleveland Browns next, and they have a talented defensive secondary. They’ve got a great defense. They’re in a tough conference and they played Pittsburgh tough — they beat them. They played Cincinnati tough — they beat them. This is going to be a challenge for us with them coming to our home field. We know what’s at stake. We’ve got to make sure that we prepare every day like this is the most important game, because it is. I think everybody’s focus is on that.
It’s always nice to play at home. Especially during the holiday season, we’ll be able to play on Sunday and have Christmas to celebrate at home. I think just having that home-field advantage with the fans and the excitement level that I know Denver has about this program and about this team, that’s what makes it fun coming home and finishing the season up.
Looking forward to it.

I’ll be there Eric!!!! I cannot wait! Keep playing great and taking one game at a time. We love that!!!
Have a great game and Merry Christmas to you, the rest of the team and all your families!
RH, I agree about Kupe. Hey, can you imagine a 49ers/Broncos SB rematch? As of right now all of the NFC opponents in line for the playoffs would be a rematch except the Seahawks and Vikings.
Have a great game, big guy…
Yeah, my buddy and I discussed that possibility. A Niner/Bronco SB would be awesome.
The Niners can beat any team in the NFC right now. Honestly, I think their game against Seattle in Seattle is the only thing in their way. Win that and they are the team to beat in the NFC in my opinion.
I think so too. It should be a good game Sunday night, but I’ll miss the whole thing! Lol driving home from the game and all.
Before we get ahead of ourselves the need to concentrate more on the likes of our conference, like the Pats, and Texans. Pats being the #1 to beat of course in which I hope our defense is ready enough now wipe the stadium clean with Tom Brady. I think it would be great to have a rematch victory against the Pats at home. I Almost Hate the Pats more than the Raiders!!! But as of this week, next week and hopefully the playoffs following at home, I think the 12th man really needs to step it up. There has been some games this year when I would really be disapointed in our home crowd not getting loud enough when the opponent is on offense. Going back to when Rod Smith was trying to pump the crowd up vs. the Texans this season, It was really Sad. They barely even got loud for him, Our Future Hall Of Famer!!! So I really Hope our Fans Come to Bring it too!!! And that DONT forget how the Dog pound In Cleveland used to throw dog biscuits at our players in the past!!! GET FIRED UP!!! WOOO HOOOO !!!
GO BRONCOS!!!
Oh. also Just bought my mom a autographed John Elway pic for xmas. Its a pic of him doing the helecopter dive over 3 packers in the first superbowl we won. Its pretty sweet and comes with a pic of him signing it. I cant wait to see the look on her face cause she is almost a bigger Broncos Fan as I am!!! Well really she raised me to be a Broncos fan too. So yea..haha
Get at em Decker… Have a great game and a Merry Christmas!
Broncos Country Strong 2012!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric,
This “TEAM” seems to be a collection of talented, unselfish, and very intelligent guys and very different from the group of pertulent individuals that were here just before and as you came to Denver. I can only speculate what its really like playing for this organization but I really hope you and your teamates are sharp enough to realize an NFL carreer is very short in your lifetimes and that you plan for and set yourselves up for Life AFTER the (Broncos) NFL. Some, even many, players squander away the money and opportunities they get while playing IN the NFL. DON’T BE ONE OF THEM! And Help your teamates to see the light on this issue as well. Champ & Peyton are good examples although Peyton’s Fame makes his case a bit distorted. You may be earning 50% of your life’s earnings in first 5% of your adult lifetime unlike the rest of us who earn little in our early years and most of our wealth in our later years. SAVE at least 50% of it now. You cn always invest it later when your focus is more mature. Avoid Friends AND Family from sucking you dry.
Good luck this weekend and make the irony of coming back to defeat your previous three losses by taking down NE, then HOU, and finally Atl in the Superbowl.
Aloha From Hawaii
should have read “group of petulent individuals”…
Warren Buffet once said when asked why he didn’t give more of his wealth away in philathropic gifts that the best thing he could do to get money to needy recipients was to leave it in his management for now and he’d have more to give away later. And he did when he gave $7bil ? to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Wish I could be there today. I know that stadium is going to be rockin’.
