Tough Test

September 15th, 2012 - 2:48pm by Von Miller

We’re getting ready to go to Atlanta to play a good team in the Falcons. We’re looking forward to taking the next step. It should be a good game and a good measuring stick for us and our team. We’re looking forward to getting on the plane and hopefully coming back with the ‘W.’

Last week’s opener was great. I’ve never seen so much orange in my life. Our fans are great. I’m looking forward to knocking this next game out then getting back in front of the fans at home against the Texans next Sunday.

Before that though, we have a tough test coming up against the Falcons. They have a great offense, a great quarterback in Matt Ryan and lots of weapons. We definitely have to be on our A game to pull it off.

Hopefully A&M gets a win this afternoon vs. SMU. We just have to keep taking it one day at a time to be that program that we know we can be.

Go Broncos and Gig em!

Cassel is not as good as everyone made him out to be in my opinion

  2. alaskanbronco06 says:

I dont think he is good. I just thought Charles would be a bigger impact then he has been and that their D would be better than it has been.

  3. marshisboss says:

So did everyone else I guess but a RB is only as good as his blockers and I must admit I thought the D would be better too

  4. tlcat06 says:

Today has been an awesome day of football and NOT solely because the Chiefs and the Raiders are both awful… Just a great day! Cannot WAIT until tomorrow!!!

  5. marshisboss says:

The Buccaneers coach must be crazy telling his players to hit people on a kneel down

  6. marshisboss says:

I dont know how i will make it through tomorrow

  7. Nathan Ellis says:

Any suggestiins on how two service members (my wife and I) could get tickets to the game Monday Night?

  8. Nathan Ellis says:

    Forgot to leave contact info.

  9. marshisboss says:

The nfl does have a ticket link on its website

  10. tlcat06 says:

Marshisboss… Iwas furious @ that guy. Who does he ink he is knocking Eli over on a kneel down? Can the coach be fined?

I am not going to make it through tomorrow at all… Sheesh!!! After today I’m nervous too, but us beating the Steelers was legit. Are you watching this Jets game? ;D

  11. DaddyBronc says:

Yep – watching the Jets. LOL

  12. DaddyBronc says:

Sanchez can’t move the ball except with the tremendously terrible officiating. Looks like Tebow time to me!!! LOL

  13. DaddyBronc says:

BTW Cat – absolutely nothing wrong with going after the ball on a kneel down – it was a gutsy call.

  14. tlcat06 says:

It was unneccessary and I don’t like it DB. That’s how people get hurt… Stupid idea. And if they do that against us I’ll be even more mad!

They need to let Ebow do something rather than run the same play three times in a row. That was so weird.

  15. tlcat06 says:

    *Tebow oops

  16. Bronco_Turtle says:

    Hola BRONCMIGOS!

Sunday without BroncoBall is Such a dirty tease!!! CAN’T WAIT until tomorrow! Be back in a couple hours after I get done putting in a window!!!

O… and PUM PUM PUM SHIPPING IS DONE FOR ANOTHER YEAR!!! HOORAY

  17. tlcat06 says:

So… The Falcons beating the Chiefs… Hahaha. We have a good chance to win tomorrow!!

  18. tlcat06 says:

Did you find any diamonds BT?

  19. tlcat06 says:

DB I just read The Bucs coaches response and I still disagree. I don’t care what you do in college there are some things that are fairly unneccessary and disrespectful in the NFL and I feel like it was completely unprofessional for him to call that. If someone had gotten hurt because of his stupidity… I don’t agree. Whether its legal or not it’s not something you do.

  20. DaddyBronc says:

Well, I wouldn’t want someone to get injured but…

a lot of times if a team is successful at bouncing that ball loose it can be picked up and taken to the house, from a kneel down. It is equally unfair to tell a team that there are seconds on the clock that they can’t play football just because the kneel down has been called. I like it when a team has no quit.

Ryan and company were pretty vanilla today.

  21. DaddyBronc says:

Bob and Shanny can’t pull it out against the Rams!!!

  22. marshisboss says:

The Jets were who i thought they were lol

  23. DaddyBronc says:

Pleased and surprised at the Pats giving one up to the ‘little red birds’. LOL

  24. marshisboss says:

The Ravens are whining just because they got beat

  25. DaddyBronc says:

I think that Cat is right in that it increases the validity of the Bronco victory last week.

  26. marshisboss says:

By pushing on guys when they dont expect it guys get hurt it isnt the way to play i dont care if you want to show thoughness or not

  27. DaddyBronc says:

One point losses do tend to be really hard to swallow.

Vick is talking like he just won the Super Bowl. C’mon Dude – it was just the ‘black birds’.

  28. DaddyBronc says:

The ‘Baltimore Birds’ did have an opportunity to tie it or win it with a 2 pt. conversion so it was a justifiable call.

The problem for me is it doesn’t look like an all out attempt at forced fumble – it does look more like a revenge hit.

  29. DaddyBronc says:

Opps – I meant the Bucs

  30. DaddyBronc says:

I shouldn’t be…but I am surprised to see NO being systematically dismantled. Brees deserves better.

  31. wolfedom says:

I am happy because both Ryans are crying tonight.

  32. marshisboss says:

Wolfedom me too I hate both those teams

  33. wolfedom says:

Yep, those guys have no class. Cussing and crying on the sideline all the time.

  34. wolfedom says:

Should be a good game tonight. I think 49ers win.

  35. marshisboss says:

I rather the Lions win but I think the 49ers are better but should be a good one

  36. marshisboss says:

Even though he is with the enemy now I am glad for Dante Rosario always liked him

  37. DaddyBronc says:

OK – I’m ready for SUnday Night Footbal –

I’m always amazed when I see a foul mouthed, angry, arrogant, man, like Harbaugh, succeed. It shouldn’t work. So I’m asking myself the question: How does Harbaugh take a 6 – 10 very talented team, but losers, and turn them into a 13 – 3 team?

I hear that as Harb takes over he starts by throw a bunch of team events requiring the team to show up with their entire families. He makes the offense and defense alternate their seating so that they are intermingled. By the time he does this he has already interviewed most of the players and he already knows who is in what kind of life struggles.

My understanding is that he paired players with marriage problems with players that had been through it , who were remarried and the like.

One story I really appreciated was that when Harby goes after David Akers he finds out that Akers’ financial manager had mismanaged and lost all his money. Akers was in real trouble as his daughter was facing severe medical issues – (I think it was cancer). So Harbaugh brings in Akers and tells him he has the job (9 mil – if I recall), but that he needs to go home and take care of his family before he shows up to camp, and to not to worry about his paycheck. I loved seeing Akers really take over the field goal record as he is the first to have done it in “thick air”.

Well, maybe we’ve misjudged Harbaugh and really he is a compassionate, family man, that is winning because his team is playing for him, and for each other.

    Interesting to contemplate!!!

  38. tlcat06 says:

Marsh I’m with you 100% it was pathetic for the Bucs to do that.

I think the 49ers win but I have not been very good with my picks this week!!!

DB I feel very good about winning last week due to how the Steelers played today.

  39. DaddyBronc says:

I have strong feelings anti – Lions. Could have to do with a certain player (his mouth particularly) and the outcome of the Bronco game against them last year.

  40. DaddyBronc says:

No particular affinity towards the niners – I’m surrounded by niner fans and that makes it a little difficult to swallow.

But – for tonight I’m a niner fan and I hope they take ‘em to the cleaners!!! LOL

  41. DaddyBronc says:

Very interested to watch how ‘tron is contained.

  42. tlcat06 says:

DB Brees is a HUGE part of the reason why NO isn’t winning. And I don’t think he deserves better. He has disappointed me greatly this year because he has not been a positive influence or a leader of his team. And after his greedy off season behavior he deserves what he is getting rout now. He is supposed to support all of the players through the NFLPA and he spent so much time defending these guys and forgot to help or defend the victims of all this. Its sad really because I had always liked him but I am extremely disappointed in him.

  43. DaddyBronc says:

I think Brees has always been a stand-up guy and even through this crisis he has done all that he could to maintain a solid public image for himself and the team. He has really worked hard at molding the media presentation of events so much so that I am not certain that the team has been dismantled though there was really nothing abnormal that was done by NO.

I’m just glad he’s not in SD, anymore!!!

  44. DaddyBronc says:

As far as being a hold out and wanting more pay??? I think Brees ought to be among the top 3-5 QB paychecks.

  45. tlcat06 says:

DB I am anti Lions due to Suh. He is a dirty player and I don’t like his attitude. Also I don’t like Schwartz or good old Tony Scheffler after how he mocked Tebow last year. Completely unwarrented.

  46. tlcat06 says:

DB… This was not the season to hold out on his contract. He needed to be a leader and coach for his team and he was MIA working on countytime lemonade commercials. You should’ve seen the stuff he was saying on twitter and if you had you wouldn’t be saying that he was a stand up guy for all the players.

  47. DaddyBronc says:

DO you think the coaches will finish off with an all out ‘throw down’?

    Kick is in the air!!!

  48. marshisboss says:

I agree with DB about Brees I really like him

  49. DaddyBronc says:

Dogs – Colingsworth – how did the NFL get to thinking this guy was good?

  50. marshisboss says:

    Collingsworth is so awful
