I just want to start out by thanking the fans for helping to vote me into the Pro Bowl this season.
It’s a great honor. To be voted by my peers and the fans, that means a lot to me. We have bigger goals than Pro Bowls though, so I’m hoping that we’re busy in New Orleans during that game.
Getting the sack record was great too, but we’re not caught up in personal accolades and accomplishments. We’re just taking it one day at a time and focusing on our goals as a team.
Our season boils down to this one on Sunday against the Chiefs. We definitely want to take it one play at a time like we’ve been doing.
It’ll be great to play at home in front of our fans in the postseason. The combination of the altitude and our great fans makes Sports Authority Field a tough place for opponents to play.

Ok – Von…I think I can speak for the this blog on this one…
We are all very happy you got the selection…no one here wants you to play in the most useless of football games!!! We are all pulling for you to be playing in New Orleans!!!
One honor that we all would like to see you receive is Defensive Player of the Year. Towards that effort…we would be happy to see ‘single game record for sacks by a player’ and / or another INT. etc., etc., etc….
with great fan affection and admiration,
Daddy
Von, I’m hoping you get that Defensive Player of the Year award. I’m rooting for you, big time!!
As far as the competition goes for DPOY, Von, you are the most complete player. Keep it up man. Don’t stop till I hear Elway say “This Ones for Champ!”
You are one of the best bronco with peyton manning go broncos
I love your attitude. Broncos allllll the way to a Championship, Von!!!
Broncos definitely deserve to be the #1 seed at this point!!!
COLTS!!!
At this point, I don`t care too much about the number one seed. The two seed is good enough. Either way, we will play NE at our home which is what matters most.
I’m a Colts fan tomorrow! We need a little LUCK! Haha!
Try this for a conversation starter:
Broncos are the best accumulation of talent playing the most disciplined football of any team in the NFL.
This sets them above the Texans, Niners, Packers and any other perceived threat to the Championship!!!
BUT:
The Patriots and the Seahawks both exceed the Broncos in BIG PLAY / PLAYMAKERS…plus they both have solid defenses.
The fact that the Broncos have only 5 pro – bowlers indicates to me that the rest of the league is not seeing those ‘superstar playmakers’ within the Bronco organization either.
GO Big or GO Home!!!
We need a LOTTA Luck!!! Throw boy, THROW!!!
COLTS!!! COLTS!!! COLTS!!! – …(what heresy is this???) (I’m so ashamed) (Shamless…) LOL
COLTS!!! COLTS!!! COLTS!!!
I give up… LOL you wish!!!
LOL Daddybronc!
A little roll of the dice! DOUBLE 6′s! HaHa!!
WW got snubbed for the pro bowl. Next year for sure.
Von Miller – you’re the man! Keep grinding!
The Denver Post ran an article about how both McCoy and Del Rio will be heavily sought after as head coaches, and could even take an interview over our bye week (if we have one). I would be surprised to see Del Rio take an interview, as he is only one year removed from HC, and his stock will not diminish any by continuing to run this talented defense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see McCoy take an interview, as he did last year, but that was with Tebow as his QB. He would be out of his mind to give up this job with Peyton Manning here IMO.
DB… I will take over for you so you don’t feel like you’re betraying the Broncos!! Only because I always cheer for the Colts unless we play them.
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need some Luck and a little bit of Wayne, plus the Colts defense to somehow play lights out and the porous offensive line to stop JJ Watt.
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET’S GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also agree with you an am counting on our guys to step up and prove to everybody else that they are far superior to any other football team! Let’s go Broncos!!! Beat KC!!!
HOWEVER, DB! I am unwilling to say that the Pats 27th ranked defense is solid. LOL
Seahawks are a different story, but the Patriots defense is not solid.
OT, I don’t think Del Rio is going anywhere, but I’ve said that since we signed him.
I hope JDR will stick around cause this team has the potential for a ring this year and maybe again over the next two.
So our 10 game win streak has been a historic one they say-
“Ready for your random stat of the day?
Only four teams in NFL history have won 10 consecutive games by seven or more points, the Denver Post reported. Peyton Manning has been the quarterback for two of those teams.
The list:
2005 Indianapolis Colts (13 consecutive games)
1942 Chicago Bears (11)
1997 San Francisco 49ers (10)
2012 Denver Broncos (10)
Manning and the Colts went 14-2, but lost to the Steelers in the divisional round. The Bears were a perfect 11-0 during the regular season, but were upset by Sammy Baugh and the Redskins in the NFL Championship game. The 49ers went 13-3 and lost to Packers in the NFC championship.
Manning is certainly hoping for a better result than the last time he was in this situation. The Broncos have aspirations to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy, but there shouldn’t be too many complaints about conference championship appearance or a trip to the Super Bowl.
History has been pretty good to two of those previous three teams. Manning certainly hopes to improve on what happened in 2005.”
(Kareem Copeland at NFL.com)
Wasn’t 05 our last trip the AFC ship? Bring it on home Von! And Peyton…
Broncos Country Strong 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!
NFL.com likes to steal things from the Denver Post… They posted that two days ago I think…
Lol TIcat. Rub it in that you get to read the DP why don’t ya!!!
I sort of agree with you Cat. But for some reason, this year and historically, the Broncos don’t seem to be able to score against the Pats.
Really, what it comes down to is Net Points: Broncos – 157 / Seahawks – 160 / Pats – 198
Two teams beat out the Broncos in these stats – and it happens because these teams can out a lot of points on the board – and put up enough defense to cause the disparity.
out = put
Well, you have to believe in your heart that we’re a different team than we were when we played the Pats the first time, DB. And the Broncos are second in scoring this year, with their defense scoring points too. Plus, we don’t RUN UP THE SCORE, which both of those teams do, so I’d say were pretty well set where we are. The bonus for us against the Pats is that we will be at home and even Kyle Orton beat the Pats in Denver. Saw it with my own two eyes!!!
Sndvl, book mark this!!! I don’t get the paper, I read the website every day!
http://www.denverpost.com/broncos
Historically, the Broncos are the only team Brady does not have a winning record against.
Hoping to seeing some (VMSD) Von miller sack dances this sunday. Thank you for bringing the Orange Crush Defense back!
Just got my orange #58 jersey and I’m going to rock it tomorrow. I’m from LA so I can’t wait to trash talk with some raiders fans! Lol
Also, the cool thing that happens when the playoffs start… Stats go out the window. Just ask the NY Giants!!!
I do believe the end of the season Broncos are much better than the Broncos that played the Texans, Pats and Falcons.
I believe that we have a good chance at beating those teams with hedging my bets most around the Pats…even at home.
My gut is telling me that this Bronco team is missing something.
Might just be too much turkey!!! LOL
I think we don’t run up the score because we can’t – that worries me…(I think that problem resides between Fox’s ears)
Thanks TIcat!
It’s snowing in my part of the desert – my concrete won’t set up!!! Had full sunshine at 7am and now it’s freezing. Aaaargh!!! Strand will understand when I state, that I hate the smell of kerosene!!!
You’re crazy to think we can’t run up the score. We had a chance to score another TD against the Raiders because we were on the five yard line with two minutes to go. Pete Carroll and Belly would’ve done it.
You are confusing “can’t” with CHOOSING NOT TO!
Disagree daddy…
It’s not that he can’t. He just chooses not to. Think about that 9 minute drive against Baltimore.
Big difference. Plus it’s sportsmanship at its best. Something the likes of bellichek and ole Pete should try learning!
Sndvl and I share a brain. Mile High Salute my man!!
Guess we will have to disagree on that –
My reasoning goes back many years watching Fox as he coached Delhomme etc. All sports call for “a sprint to the finish” and “the best defense is a good offense”. Fox doesn’t have the killer instinct. Calling it ‘sportsmanship’ is strange to my way of thinking – especially at the pro level…(but I also know that holding back your team is harmful even in kids leagues…and everyone gets over being buried with points…except the moms!)
Im win Cat and Snvdl

Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all!!!!
Go Broncos! and, yes! Go Colts!
Lol… That is uncanny. And awesome! Wyoming represent!
A blue & orange fist bump your way chica.
When youre up two scores with 10min left in the fourth. Run, run, run! Burn that clock. As long as the first downs keep coming and the clock keeps ticking.
Seattle and NE have instead thrown bombs and went for points. Thats not neccessay cause this isnt the BCS.
What exactly can a team gain from adding to the point total in a game that’s already considered a blowout daddy?
It has been a true pleasure. You are welcome Von.
Fox never had a PMFM either. I’ d grind it out too if I had Delhomme
Von-you are the epitome of sportsmanship and what it means to represent as a Bronco. You are a class act with a classy organization. Thank you for being a Bronco!!
We saw an example of why, only one or two weeks ago, with three touchdowns being scored in 71 seconds in the NFL. Conservative play does not equal good results.
So the real question is:
Which way keeps your players performance at its’ sharpest???
Which way results in more wins?
The point is not to run up the score – the point is to ‘keep the pedal to the medal’ until ‘the fat lady sings’. Do your very best…play for 60 minutes…
My personal agenda is against those very nice people who wish to build up self-image. In order to accomplish this they never tell a child that they have failed and everyone gets a trophy. This has resulted in a culture where everyone wants to be a rock star and no one wants to work. To me we are talking about the ‘killer instinct’ in sports. Christians in sports have often been accused of not having it…but…I got it!!!
I really can’t believe the regular season is over tomorrow. It went by so fast. Its so nice to march into the playoffs instead of backing in.
I teach my kids that they are competing against every other student for their college placements, scholarships, etc. I compete against every other garage door company in my area. Competition is good and those who get buried need to know that they are not competing. The best thing for the loser is to re-eval and become competitive. Knowing that you are a loser is the best thing that could happen to a team or an individual – if they do something about it…I figure the Broncos do a team a favor when they bury them!!!
I agree RH – It was painful waiting for this season to get here for some reason – and it has flown by…glad we have playoffs!!!
