Taking in the Postseason

January 4th, 2013 - 1:43pm by Eric Decker

There’s playoff football on television, and I’ll be like most of you these next couple days — I’m going to watch it all. It’s gonna be nice to enjoy the weekend and just be at home, watching football. It’s kind of like you wait for the playoffs and it’s a fun time of the year. It’s the tournament. It’s one-and-done. I’ll be at home enjoying the games, being on my iPad studying, figuring out who we’re going to play and getting ready.

As far as us not playing this week, I’m very glad we earned the bye week. The hard work we put in all year, it paid off. We haven’t lost focus at all. We put in some good work this week and we’re excited about the break, just to get mentally and physically rested to get ready for next week.

Enjoy the games. I’ll catch up with you next week when we’ll know who we’re playing.

Boldin beasting but he won’t be doing that next week i believe in our D

  2. strandoftds82 says:

    Champ will shut down Boldin.

  3. baylinorcrush says:

Cat, see, no problem, you’re off the hook! LOL.

Put Bailey on Bolden and Flacco is fried.

    And so are the Ravens.

!!!THESE BIRDS ARE ABOUT TO BE EXTINCT!!!

    GO BRONCOS!!!!

  4. strandoftds82 says:

LMAO! Bay has a way with words. Extinct, like the coo coo bird. HeHe!!

  5. strandoftds82 says:

Or doo doo bird I should say. LOL

  6. OTbroncos says:

Worst possible match up IMO. Would’ve taken the Benglas or Colts ahead of the Ravens..

  7. OTbroncos says:

They are going to be all fired up, to avenge the beat down we gave them. And then there’s the Ray Lewis farewell tour to deal with.. We NEED to protect the football.

  8. strandoftds82 says:

The 3 home teams have won so far! How will the Skins play?! Stay tuned! LOL

  9. strandoftds82 says:

OT, to be the best, you gotta play the best!

  10. socalbigbroncofan says:

Here come the ravens. Should be a good game. We should win. I would imagine Peyton is already preparing. Go get em boys.

  11. since1972 says:

I agree OT the Ravens make me nervous

  12. strandoftds82 says:

We hit the Ravens in the mouth in Baltimore. Ray Lewis is a non factor and is all washed up. Are you kidding me. What a laugher. LMAO!!

  13. socalbigbroncofan says:

Colts secondary was terrible. Gave up too many big plays to boldin and rice. They did not protect luck. And there offense wasnt aggressive enough. We match up better.

  14. marshisboss says:

I worry about everyone we play but Luck is good but he is no Manning and the Colts D is nothing like our D we are an all around better team than the Colts

  15. Laralovesthebroncos says:

Looks like we are playing the Ravens! Lets go DENVER!

  16. marshisboss says:

And Kruger isn’t beating Clady or Franklin like he did today

  17. baylinorcrush says:

I’m all with strand on this one, the Ravens don’t scare me, Manning will tear them apart unlike Luck since he is no rookie and gets rid of the ball so much quicker, and our D pressure on QBs will make Flacco be the inadequate freaked out QB he always is under those conditions.

  18. strandoftds82 says:

We’ll be ready! The great teams are always ready! I’m out! Laters!!

  19. strandoftds82 says:

No need to act in a paralyzing state!

  20. austin-bronco says:

Can we beat them again? You know what they say, the hardest thing in the league to do is beat a team twice in the same year.

  21. Laralovesthebroncos says:

Looks like you guys are playing Baltimore Ravens! Lets go DENVER! Glad you guys are being smart and taking it easy. Have a good solid week of practice and let’s go get a win!

  22. baylinorcrush says:

We’re talking double digit victory in the making IMO, that’s how worried I am, LOL. I’m very glad it’s not the Colts we will play, it takes away all the unknown factor, I would of been much more worried facing them, honestly, I was hoping Baltimore would win it all along.

  23. marshisboss says:

Flacco does not scare me at all he is not that good to me at all

  24. baylinorcrush says:

austin, actually the saying is more it’s hard to beat the same team three times in the same season, twice is done all the time…

  25. austin-bronco says:

We’ve done it four times this year, but the Ravens are not Chumps, Faders or dis-Chargers!

  26. baylinorcrush says:

Flacco under pressure is like playing a guy in a flak jacket, pretty much an Orton impersonator, no more.

  27. tlcat06 says:

    Phew.

  28. baylinorcrush says:

Well I’ll let the worriers be worried, I’m not, very happy we are playing the Ravens.

!!!!THESE BIRDS ARE ABOUT TO BE EXTINCT!!!

    Time for RG3 now, later.

  29. baylinorcrush says:

    LMAO @ CAT.

  30. tlcat06 says:

Strand… Harris covered Boldin. I don’t see that changing.

  31. austin-bronco says:

Yeah Bay you’re right, I’m thinking high school. My son played his first HS ball this year (freshman). The Varsity had a big re-match in the playoffs against a team they had beaten in the RS.

  32. sndvl says:

Anyone else hear that Ray Lewis played his 1st career playoff game against the Broncos in 2000…

Will his last playoff game be against the Broncos? Stay tuned!

I like the matchup. Though, Manning vs the Colts would have been interesting. This is what the playoffs are all about. Best of the best. Time to put in some work…

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  33. marshisboss says:

I know on any sunday anything can happen but I am confident in this team

  34. tlcat06 says:

    Lets go coach and RGIII!

  35. OTbroncos says:

I’ve been confident all year, and I’m not about to change now. I’m not worried, per se, I just don’t want to overlook a talented Ravens squad. Hopefully the team is thinking the same way.

  36. since1972 says:

I have a feing Seattle might win this game.

  37. sndvl says:

With Manning, Champ & Fox leading the way, I’m not worried about the teams focus OT. Should be a great playoff battle!!!

  38. Bronco_Turtle says:

Main Event time!!! This game should be GREAT!!!

  39. Bronco_Turtle says:

Sloppy field!!!! old fashion football! LOVE IT!!!

  40. DaddyBronc says:

I like Ray Lewis starting and finishing his playoff career in Denver. C’mon ya’ll…you are really concerned about this Ravens team??? My concern is that after the ‘bye’ and then an easy win against ‘the purple birds’ …that we go in cold againstthe Patriot which has gotta be a no foolin’, no mistakes game!

    Texans!, Texans!, Texans!!!

  41. socalbigbroncofan says:

skins looking good. i like rg3. so far seattle’s d hasnt showed much.
does anyone think houston has a chance against the pats. i dont.

  42. sndvl says:

14-0… Typical start from a Shanny team. Lol
Though it can’t be good to see RG3 heading to the locker room

I think the Texans have a chance Socal. Albeit, a slim one!

  43. broncosfreak718 says:

Yea I like the Redskins. Their my second favorite team. My family are big Redskin fans and always have been. I like them especially with them having Shanny and RG3. RG3 is a very classy and humble guy. Newton could definitely take some notes on that!!!

But there will never be a team that succeeds my beloved Broncos!!!! Broncos for better or worse baby!!!

  44. broncosfreak718 says:

Texans do have a chance sndvl..you would be right!

They’re no where the same team that they were when they last played the Texans. Lost to 49ers and nearly lost to Jacksonville!!

  45. broncosfreak718 says:

I still think we beat Ravens next weekend by at least 10!

  46. socalbigbroncofan says:

sndvl, i hope so cause the pats are the only team that scares me. but right now one game at a time. we need to smash the ravens in the mouth. and ray lewis announcing his retirement was purely to take the momentum away from the colts story(chuck strong and andrew luck) and give themself some momentum. now thats over. aint getting no love in denver. fans need to be loud. wish i could of been there. but i will be wearing my orange manning jersey all day long.

  47. alaskanbronco06 says:

I dont think we will be overlooking this game. About 10 minutes after it ended the coaching staff started arriving to work on a gameplan and watching their game film. We are very focused without a doubt. Ravens D is playing better but like I said still a weak unit. Got help by some inaccurate Luck throws and drops by the WRs. Yes they got pressure but Colts have one of the worst OLs this year. Also Colts defense isnt near the level our defense is. The Colts DBs had no idea when the ball was in the air during the game especially on the deep throws. Our DBs keep good track of the ball. Colts ha dno idea how to stop the run game and we showed last time we can shut Ray Rice down. The emotional factor of Ray Lewis wont be as big of an influence as it was in todays game. Today was his last home game. Emotion from the crowd made them loud. They wont get that in Denver.

Like I said I dont think it will be as dominating as it was last time by us. But still see a 10+ point win.

Also Peyton has overlooked games before and lost. Fox has Elway has. Nearly a coach or player at every level has overlooked a game at some point. To much experience in doing that to do that this year. They stay focused on the game in front of them. We spent this past week preparing for all 3 possibilities. NE spent it prepping for us. We are staying focused while NE is overlooking us. That is part of why I think Texans and NE will be a different kind of game next week. But still have a NE win.

  48. broncosfreak718 says:

I tell you what, Manning going to that glove in the cold weather has caused him to throw the ball flawlessly!!!

  49. alaskanbronco06 says:

Freak I posted an article over the last week that talks about him wearing a glove on his throwing hand. He has a near perfect QB rating over the two games he has done so.
