There’s playoff football on television, and I’ll be like most of you these next couple days — I’m going to watch it all. It’s gonna be nice to enjoy the weekend and just be at home, watching football. It’s kind of like you wait for the playoffs and it’s a fun time of the year. It’s the tournament. It’s one-and-done. I’ll be at home enjoying the games, being on my iPad studying, figuring out who we’re going to play and getting ready.
As far as us not playing this week, I’m very glad we earned the bye week. The hard work we put in all year, it paid off. We haven’t lost focus at all. We put in some good work this week and we’re excited about the break, just to get mentally and physically rested to get ready for next week.
Enjoy the games. I’ll catch up with you next week when we’ll know who we’re playing.

In Baltimore when we played the Ravens in their own house they couldn’t even convert on 3rd downs. So what do we think it will be like in Denver this coming Saturday? I’m sure going to sleep well this week. I won’t lose a wink. I have confidence in my Broncos and they’ll be prepared.
B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!
BRONCOS 2013!!!!!!
Dwalls2… Thanks for that! I deserved it…
Hope your gut is spot on!
There are a lot of gut feelings telling them that the N.E. Patriots will be coming to Mile High to play the AFC Championship game. My gut is telling me that. LOL
3-0 for the 3rd ship in 2013! Sounds good to me Dwalls
Lets get that 1st one on Saturday…
GO BRONCOS!!!
If we do end up in the SB, 3 of the four teams that are remaining in the NFC would be a SB rematch. You gotta love that. The only team we haven’t played in the BIG GAME is the Seahawks.
PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM PUM!!!!!!
BRONCO PLAYOFF HANDICAPPING PREDICTION CONTEST EXTRAVAGANZA!!!
Thank you all for taking the time to participate in our Regular Season Game Scoring and Season Prediction Contests!
Now It Is Time for an advanced version to take our playoff watching experience to the next level!!!
The point and the fun is to think like a gambler (that owns a Casino!!!)
The goal of a good Sports Handicapper is to ensure that the wagers placed in a Sportsbook are split as evenly as possible between the favorite and the underdog. A ‘Handicap’ is simply a points disadvantage that is given to the team that is the perceived favorite for a contest, this disadvantage helps people to comfortably place money on the underdogs…
Each entry should have 5 components and read like the example…
1. Over/Under (in Half point increments) (8 possible points)
2. Picking Over/Under (3 Points)
3. Handicap (Spread) (3 points)
4. Winner vs Handicap (3 Points)
5. Teams Total Points
So, for Saturdays Contest if you wish to participate please feel free to submit an entry, Labeled as Usual
EXAMPLE
**GAME HANDICAP ENTRY**
+/- 52.5, Broncos -7.5: Final Broncos 31-22
Actual Score
Denver 33 Ravens 22 (55)
In this instance the O/U was 2 points off the game total which is worth 7 points, (Over is implied here because the point total of 31 and 22 add up to more than the predicted 52.5) 3 Points for picking O/U properly, 3 points for picking the Spread and 3 points for picking properly with a spread (meaning you can make Denver -7.5 and then Predict BAL will be within a TD and still win a bet picking the Broncos to win but the Ravens to Cover… complicated I know, but it really does get easier as you go along!)
This hypothetical entry with this hypothetical Final Score would result in 16 out of a maximum 17 points…
You must pick the winner against the spread to be eligible for points (Simply picking the Winner is not good enough)… If you pick within one score (8 Points either way) of the game’s Final Total you Qualify for points as well and they are awarded in a Belle Curve (8 points off the total equals one contest point, 7 Points off equals 2 points etc…) Final Team Scores will be used a tie breaker should the need to break a tie arise…
I will take Entries right up until Kickoff on Saturday… If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I look forward to seeing what we end up with!!!
Strand, the Seahawks lost to the Steelers in a SB.
The SB WE were supposed to be in too. Blech
That may be too complicated for me, Turtle…wow…
So how many WOS did I have at the beginning of the season? Even that come from behind second place wouldn’t be enough to get near the Dane!!!
Kudos to the Dane!!!
2 WOS for you DB! -14 game points! How’s your night?
I have a terrible cold but I have no football regrets for a whole weekend!!!!
I’d like to see the Niners take out the Pack – I’d like to see the Falcons wipe out the Hawks —-I believe I won’t get my wish for either…
I’d like the Texans to arrest the Patriots…
again not likely…
and the Broncos will embarrass the Purple Birds and retire one of my all-time favorite high character guys!!!
Hope you feel better! I bet with that many kids your getting close to having had every cold there is!
There is a chance for both NFC Home teams to win DB… very Rarely do both home teams in a divisional round lose, but it could happen. Clemons being hurt today makes the SChickens a little less formidable, but I still see SEA squeeking one out in ATL, that secondary is for real
9ers have me baffled… which Kap shows up, the one that owned the Pats on the Rd or the one that layed an egg in STL…? I’m not going to bet that game for sure
Texans… would need a perfect game plan and 0 turnovers (I can’t convince myself it’s possible honestly either)
You may have to define 1-5, term by term. Remember, I was the guy who put a quarter in a slot as a young college student and when it ate my quarter, I was mad for a week!
(I know – how does a risk taker like myself hate to gamble – I don’t get it either, but I don’t…so over/unders are foreign terms as are spreads and handicaps.)
Broncos 31 Ravens 20
New England 35 Houston 17
Broncos 27 New England 24
Packers 24 San Fran 17
Atlanta 28 Seattle 27
Packers 34 Atlanta 31
Broncos vs Packers in the SUPERBOWL!
DB I don’t get how you hated on DJ Williams all summer or despise Ben Rothelisberger but you let Ray Lewis get away with killing two people and call him a “character guy”. SMH
People who tell me Ray Lewis is a good role model for kids. I just want to smack you across the head and say “What you talkin’ bout Willis?”
OJ never convicted, Casey Anthony never convicted, Ted Kennedy never convicted… But I’m not stupid. I just add Ray Lewis to the list. Can’t call any of those cats people with “high character” or good role models.
Wait, I have a few players with “high character”….Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey.
What, HOFers on the same team at the same time?! Let’s go out on a limb and say…4 HOFers on the same team….add Miller and Clady to that. Yet I believe one of the main keys for Denver to win this weekend…
Vickerson/Wolfe/Bannan. To win the next two games…and Baltimore for starters…those interior guys have to blow up a few screens. Joe FLUKO will throw up some airballs…his receivers will catch some…we’ll catch one of them. They’ll make some plays, we’ll make plays. However, if Rice gains 140 yards all-purpose yards…we could lose this game. Vickerson has a knack for blowing up some screen plays. He’s going to have to be on it Saturday.
I’m not doing all this Vegas stuff, but I think it’s going to be…
Bal-20

So we came close Ticat. Missed it by that much.
