This is a huge game, especially coming off a loss last week. You definitely want to win all your division games. It’s tough, but we definitely want to get ourselves in a tie for first place with a win in our division to give us a better chance to go to the playoffs.
All weeks are important, but this week is definitely important because we don’t want to go to the bye week with a bad taste in our mouth.
It’s always a challenge going against the Chargers. We won one last year and they won one. I’m sure we’re going to go in there and they’re going to try their best to beat us.
Being a divisional opponent, we’re pretty familiar with them and in turn, they’re pretty familiar with us. It’ll be a good game. We’ve had another good week of preparation and hopefully we can get it done on Monday.
I love playing on Monday Night. It’s the only game on. I used to watch Monday Night Football when I was a kid, so playing on it is a dream come true.
Gig em!

@JeffDarlington: Very bad news for Ravens’ defense: The team fears torn triceps for LB Ray Lewis and torn ACL for CB Lardarius Webb, according to sources.
Wow.
Gosh I really need us to win tomorrow. Us losing last week looks pathetic now.
The Cowgirls screwed up today. The losers. LOL
Thanks for the heads up Cat!
Besides the faiders, the team I hate next in line is the Ravens. Not even S.D. or K.C. enter my mind after Baltimore.
@bylindsayhjones: Tracy Porter did not travel to San Diego. He is ill, Broncos say. Look for Chris Harris to start at right corner.
What a bummer.
Porter out is not a good omen.
@Cat, the seahawks have a very studdly defense. Also, I watched a good portion of that game and the patriots played no-huddle but not the same breakneck pace that the pulled on the Broncos. Also, crowd noise in Seattle was killer so it makes it harder to call plays at the line.
Anyway, just saying that it doesn’t make us less of a team cause we lost. If we see NE in the playoffs it will be different.
BTW, Denver is going to destroy SD and all will be right again.
Word is Malcolm Floyd and Eddie Royal are game time desitions so a loss of Porter may not be terrible.
BT, you got to give some credit to Peyton Manning and our Broncos. We are not only good, but better than average. Yes, we have 3 losses. But those 3 losses are to three elite teams as we first saw our schedule. We get better and jell as the season comes along. It’s a long season buddy. As for why I wasn’t on as of lately. I’ve been house sitting and taking care of a dog and haven’t had access to a computer, otherwise I’d have been on all along. And just to bring to your attention, life isn’t fair!! You gotta start somewhere with Manning and our team and it takes awhile to run on all cylinders. Brother, you lack patience. Stop hating on my QB and get over it!!
I heard that too, RH709.
well today has been a good day of football. saw all the games, love the red zone. patriots lose as well as the faiders, and chefs. love it. i hope we smash the chagers. i cant stand rivers.
Rivers is a PATSY!
couldnt agree more strands. i hope von and doom have him on his back the whole night. i think we match up good against the chargers.
We’ll win our division, no worries there. I’m concerned once we make the playoffs. We’ll be seeing Houston and N.E. again. But first we gotta beat the Chargers on MNF. I think S.D. is just an average team.

been reading the comments today on manning and salary cap, so on….
all i can say is that i was a tebow supporter last year and gave him a fair chance, didnt judge him off one bad or good game. the same thing can be said for manning. we need to have this conversation at the end of the year. this offense is getting better as we go on and manning has been said he is not 100%. so we should wait to see what happens. and the season is not over we play for first in the division tommorow night then right into our bye week. Plenty of football left.
And we’re averaging 27 points a game. We’re only going to get better. We stop the fumbles ans stop the opposition on 3rd downs, especially 3rd and forever, we’ll be fine.
Wasn’t Brooking on ATLs Superbowl team in 98?
Shocking to see the G-Men work over the Niners. And seeing NE lose another one…
Porter missing the trip? Does this mean we see more of Omar Bolden? It’s been mentioned he was 1st round material before the knee injury.
Honestly, I like our matchup against their WRs. Floyd, Meacham and Royal vs Champ, Harris and Bolden/Carter…
Well if Eddie and Malcolm are out we still have a good chance. I think Chris Harris can step up though. Y’all know how much I like him.
I hope y’all have a good day tomorrow! TAP YOUR CLEATS THREE TIMES! I’m still so thrilled that we got Peyton.
Ive liked Tony Carter’s aggression since preseason. lots of peeps asked why we kept him and claimed he sucks but I saw good things from the kid.
@MikeKlis: Tracy Porter did show up intent on making trip to SD. Team medical staff held him back. Concerned about dizziness/light-headedness.
RH709… I was a complainer about Carter, but I do think he stepped his game up.
Ill admit Carter wasn’t always in good position and he got burned some but there was a tenacidy I liked in his play. He played hard despite his size. With coaching, I think he can be a solid player. Time will tell.
Who covers Gates? And they also have Rosario and McMichael at TE..
Fiddler on the roof?? … that reminds me of another story … guy goes into a bar with his dog … they sit at the bar and the guy bets the guy next to him that his dog can talk … the bet is taken, and the guy asks the dog what’s under a tree – the dog goes “root” … then the guy asks the dog what’s on top of a house – the dog responds “roof” … then the guy asks the dog who the greatest baseball player of all time is – the dog goes “Ruth” … the other guy’s had enough – he socks the fellow with the dog and walks away … the dog turns to his master and says “you think I should have said DiMaggio?” …
Okay, I’ll put in a score, but I just can’t go against the Broncos …
Denver 27
Chargers 23 …
Good luck, everybody …
Depends on how Gates lines up and the coverage called but the most likely ansswer would be Woodyard or Brooking with the occasional coverage of Adams or Miller.
SD likes to power run, throw to the flats, use some screens and then huck the deep ball when they have everyone thinking the underneath game.
Norv Turner is a terrible HC but he is a master of the Air Croyle offense.
A lot of people had this kid on their draft boards around here..

The Texans look awful tonight. The 49ers were abused. The Patriots are 3-3, and the Falcons barely beat the Raiders. Bottom line, no team is that great, and it will come down to who can side step any major injuries, and who can peak at the right time.
Well if denver doesnt lose by more then 2 pts I win 200 bucks tomorrow… should make the game even more exciting!
CRAP!!! Porter is out vs the dolts.
Ouch! Upset City!!! LOL
A lot of games went the wrong way this week. I’d have bet my last dollar on Pit in the Thursday night game. I also had wrong picks for Houston, Arizona, KC, Pats, Min, SF, STL, CIN….I would have thought that ATL would have killed the Raiders and they didn’t and I expected a close game for the Jets – and they murdered the Colts. The only game worse than that was the Houston game…who woulda thunk it??? Good thing I didn’t have any money on anything!!! LOL!!!
Well, I guess we need the ball to bounce the wrong way for the Chargers tomorrow. I’m afraid I have a bit of anxiety now!!! LOL
It is GAME DAY!!!!!!!!! GO BRONCOS!!!!
Raidrhadr I think Chris Harris is up to the challenge!!!
I LOVE THE DENVER BRONCOS. THEY ARE MY UNIVERSAL #1 FOOTBALL TEAM. I THANK GOD. MY DOGS. Mr. and Mrs. BOWEN and Family. The team and coaches of the 2012-2013 Denver Broncos under Head Coach of Football Operations Mr. John Fox, to me ladies and gentlemen, are a fine band of men and women centered behind a wonderful and elite professional business team that exudes the very limits of American diversity and professionalism found in any game of competition or measure but especially Football. The Superbowl Caliber Offensive Linemen are led by a still young 37 year future Hall of Fame and possibly Peace Prize Author/Quarterback Mr. Peyton Manning.
The real omen came when my hero, Broncos Ring of Fame inductee and Pro Football Hall of Fame Winning 2XTIME Superbowl Champion quarterback Mr. John Elway; took his entrepreneurial leadership talents and abilities from the Arena Football Leagues Colorado Crush and League Chairman posts to perform a Lazarus miracle in the mighty name of _-_-_ to WIN when asked to. John Elway took and did a Morpheus mind job on the NFL fans on the off season trading blocks and drafts. Mr. Bowen and John Fox gave John Elway the green light to bring the very best of NCAA talent and exotic combinations of NFL talent to the mighty high altitude of SPORTS AUTHORITY STADIUM handing season ticket holders the promise of success and the prideful commitment to excellence on and off the field which he earned through experience over and throughout his pro football career. Boss and friend Mr. Bowen thanks for a respectful organization a model for American Sports.
I pray that the Denver Broncos acknowledge the viability of developing the prototype no huddle defense with substitution management being much more anticipated like Basketball or Hockey. The Atlanta defense is still out playing the Broncos right now. There is comfort in knowing that we are a young team with a young quarterback in every since of the word.
Think of how it would be if bullets and IED’s were going off on FOURTH and THIRD downs if you don’t make it. That would change your perspective going into the count by the QB. Really, this is simple, they are the same downs. The defense has just passed up two downs to turnover the ball. Without a fumble, holding or clipping or pass interferences both downs should connect every time if you’re playing the right ball game. Size over speed any 4 days a week you pick em slim. If we turnover the ball over on the 4th down play we might as well pull our own pants down and sit on a Cactus. We can not stop balling. Now Third down gents are the power shots you have at winning so set the plays up and know win to size up and bully your way forward.
Double tight ends I FORMATION with Stockley long on an linebacker lining up inside and Tammie out wide on an under matched corner breaking them down because they don’t know if your going to hurt there corner with the run or burn them deep with the middle gain. Look how Oakland sized up on Atlanta. #25 busted loos on a play that we should borrow from there playbook philosophy. We could choose to average 20 yards a carry if we want. The coaching staff is really the weak link on the team right now. We need more help with that.
What ever that isn’t being done to let John and Jack to sub their defenses in with plenty of time and intelligence regarding the next play sequences and subs.. then, do it please and with a humble sense of urgency.offense.The no huddle running offense destroyed New England when there tale was playing our one guy deep. Willis choking like that was an eye opener with the rare (cyber attack like) exceptions taking affect on all of us at his expense (#23) redeem it. Peyton has to learn how to through to his new running backs. They catch different. No bad just we have to be able to spread out and shake and dance our way
Football is going global as the military is right now. The wins are as real as the losses. It is what we learn from them that makes us better, correct? Americans are on 3rd and 4th down right now. We will not punt.
Interesting AM writing, btw the big cheese name is Mr. Bowlen.
Ummmm…what just happened?
LOL, new blood, they come in all different kind of types as always around here, haha.
New blood is good though and I’m in tune with him about the less than stellar coaching so far, among other flagrant issues (D and mental mistakes) we were definitely outcoached in our losses IMO.
cat I hope you are right. I like Chris Harris. I’m actually more concerned with how to cover Gates (as usual).
Interesting correlation. Football and the military…I think. I pictured the future of football briefly there with IEDs and bombs going off…played in the style of the movie Starship Troopers but with explosions. Hmmmm. Go Johnny Rico!!!
As long as it also includes Denise Richards
Chris Harris is good. Sure he got burned by Welker but who doesn’t? Harris will be fine on the outside and Tony Carter will take Harris’s role in the slot. Not to worry.
I would much rather have Porter but this will be ok. Just hope this ‘illness’ isn’t anything serious. Get Well Soon Porter!
MONDAY NIGHT under the lights, doesnt get any better than that. as long as the offense holds on to the ball and the defense gets off the field on 3rd down, i predict our beloved orange and blue will crush Rivers and the bolts……GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!
DMT is going to go HUGE this game…200+ yards
What’s up everybody??? Pumped for tonight!!!
Trying to decide which jersey to wear.
Blue Champ Bailey jersey?
White Erik Decker jersey?
Orange Von Miller Jersey?
I always try to wear what they wear, I would imagine it would be the white away jerseys tonight, so Decker should be your choice, lol.
Gameday!
I’m wearing my white Elway Throwback 1994 version.
Haven’t put it on since the home playoff game.
Heard a very interesting tidbit this morning. With a win tonight by the Broncos, only 2 AFC teams will have winning records…
Broncos Country Strong 2012!!
