Looking for Repeated Success on the Road

November 3rd, 2012 - 7:43am by Von Miller

We travel to Cincy this week to face the Bengals, who are another good team. They started the season 3-1. They’ve been on a losing streak lately, but they’re desperate to win – just like we are too.

They’re coming off the bye, so you always come back refreshed from that. We just have to keep playing Broncos football and hopefully we can come home with a W.

I remember playing against the Bengals last year – it was a tough game in 2011. I was able to have some success, get my first career sack and most importantly, we got a win. Andy Dalton is one of my good buddies too, I played against him in college and we were both rookies last season.

It’s always tough to win on the road, but we got a taste of that last time at San Diego and hopefully we can have some repeated success.

Gig ‘em!

I really appreciate your taking time to post. You will do well in Cinci. You have certainly shown amazing adaptability in your two years in Denver, what with lockouts, DC changes etc. etc. Go Get ‘em.

Hope you get to bust a move (or two) tomorrow afternoon!

    Good luck Von…

    Broncos Country Strong 2012!!!!

Von it’s seriously great to hear from you! Hope you get a sack on your good buddy Dalton tomorrow! Can’t wait for the game. GO BRONCOS!

  4. DaddyBronc says:

Well, Von…I like Andy as well…and I hope the two of you meet regularly and often in the middle of the backfield, and can share many of those NFL Linebacker hugs that you are so famous for. LOL

  5. DaddyBronc says:

Hey B?F?E?….We all know you are out there reading along. Hang Tough!!! You are missed!

  6. tlcat06 says:

  7. DaddyBronc says:

Sorry Cat – I was checkin’ Facebook. I turn 49 today, and I am being celebrated by all who know and love me. Feels like a good day!

I am going to go run the chainsaw and attempt to get in the winter firewood, get my house all winterized, and put on a roof on one of my sheds. Happy B-day to me!!!

  8. tlcat06 says:

Happy birthday!!!!! I love that about facebook. Sure makes you feel good!! I know what you really want for your birthday! The Broncos to win tomorrow!!!

  9. tlcat06 says:

And I don’t believe you don’t like running the chainsaw! :)

  11. wolfedom says:

Thanks for the article Von. I hope to see the defense shut the Bengals down. How about 0 points for them? You guys are coming together and getting better each game. GREAT JOB. GO BRONCOS

  12. DiamondDogDave says:

Get ‘em Von! I was raised at Mile High and there’s nothing I like better than seeing the Defense fired up. Lets capitalize on this momentum and pound ‘em into the earth in Cincy.

    EAT GREEDY VON!

  17. baylinorcrush says:

I hope the DiamondDog handle is in reference to David Bowie and not the dog food or Beck or anything else. Bowie ruled the music world back then, his music today sounds as fresh as the day he wrote it, timeless.

  18. Broncosmex says:

I want the Broncos to draft Manti Te’o..

  19. strandoftds82 says:

Happy B-Day Daddybronco. I remember that your just a few weeks older than I. I hope the Broncos give you a nice b-day present tomorrow. LOL

  20. Doomsday91 says:

DB…Happy B-DAY………..and B.F.E is still hanging around Broncos Country Bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. baylinorcrush says:

Some of us e-mailed you mudman.

  22. baylinorcrush says:

Congrats on 49 daddy, LOL, just sounds weird coming from a 58 yr old, haha.

  23. RH709 says:

Can’t wait to watch the Broncos extend the win streak. It seems Denver got a ton of credit lately and that will only increase after a beat down of the Bengals. Ive read that some pundits think this is a trap game and that is just commical to me.

No other team in the NFL is so dependant on one WR (Green). Champ will put this game away. Ill have my Decker jersey on (its my white away jersey).

Expect Manning to go across the middle early and often cause Maualuga can
not cover to save his life. Maybe ole Virgil hurdles a few more defensive players :-)

This game will be over by halftime.

  24. baylinorcrush says:

Going to have to go to the sports bar at 11:30 am tomorrow, a raving alcoholic that makes me, haha, see dumb and dumber, love that flick….

  25. baylinorcrush says:

You make me nervous RH, your score guessing hasn’t exactly been stellar if I’m not mistaking. And one of the comical pundit who calls this game a possible upset is Adam Shefter.

  26. strandoftds82 says:

And the time changes as well, time to fall back 1 hour. HaHa!! Don’t forget!

  27. baylinorcrush says:

    Thanks, close call….

  28. strandoftds82 says:

The Bengals D has been know to run out of gas by the 4th quarter in the last 3 games. I’m confident in the Broncos bring home a W for the win column.

  29. strandoftds82 says:

    No problem.

  30. strandoftds82 says:

You don’t want to get to the Sports bar too early. LMAO!!

  31. baylinorcrush says:

Yeah, I want to be able to watch the fourth quarter, LOL.

  32. baylinorcrush says:

I think we win too and fairly easily, problem is by exactly how much, always a conundrum to try to get points, and I need points to pass you, haha.

  33. strandoftds82 says:

Getting blitz an hour before kickoff! Now thats a head start. Bartender, make it a double! LOL

  34. strandoftds82 says:

I wouldn’t mind if you did. I made my pick and a few days later, the leader, The Dane post the exact prediction as mine. Now thats fishy. Dane, I’m on to you buddy!

  35. strandoftds82 says:

    *A few days ago*

  36. RH709 says:

My score predictions havent been great. true story.
I did claim the Saints game didnt worry me at all.

This game is easier to guess cause Cincy doesnt have many weapons on offense. Thier defense can get to the passer but Manning is so good at the line.

Not worried. Candy from a baby.

  37. strandoftds82 says:

They are averaging only 17 points a game, kind of easy to assess.

  38. baylinorcrush says:

The Dane only managed 3 points last year, I think I can get him, LOL.

  39. baylinorcrush says:

Actually by my calculation they average 23.7 points per game on O.

  40. strandoftds82 says:

I’m making all kinds of typing errors.

  41. strandoftds82 says:

Thanks Bay. I’m actually guessing is all. We can still muster up more than 24 points I think against Cinci.

  42. strandoftds82 says:

Heck, your only behind by just, what is it 5 points?

  43. baylinorcrush says:

    They allow 26.7 per game

  44. baylinorcrush says:

I better go set all my clocks back!

  45. strandoftds82 says:

I just looked, only behind by 4 points. Piece of cake!! LOL

  46. baylinorcrush says:

It’s easier this year, there is no minuses, like last year you ended up minus 5, sorry, LOL.

  47. baylinorcrush says:

Long ways to go before we can crown this year champ, I like our places.

  48. baylinorcrush says:

Last year I placed in 5 different weeks (record), two so far, 9 games to go, that’s about right for me.

  49. baylinorcrush says:

Actually maybe there will be 12 more games to go…..

  50. DaddyBronc says:

    Thanks Bay, Strand, and Doom.

Not to worry Bay – Manning is calling Stokley “Daddy”!

Just back from Red Lobster. Had a great day!

Tag…you’re it Strand. Your turn to get old~!!! LOL
