So we’ve got three in a row, and like Coach Fox says, 4-0 is better than 3-0. This week we’re in Carolina.
I think you see offensively we’re just cutting down on mistakes that we made at the beginning of the year, the turnovers. We’re more efficient on third down and in the red area. That’s something that’s really keeping us on the field and creating positive drives with touchdowns. That’s just hard work and little details we’ve been putting in since April — it’s starting to pay off. We’re starting to find that groove, find that rhythm.
The Panthers are a team that on the defensive side of the ball has improved from the beginning of the year. They pose a lot of challenge for us because their front seven is very active. They’ve got more than 20 sacks on the year, so you know they get to the quarterback. That’s something that we’ve got to really pay attention to this week. Then we’ve just got to take care of ourselves as far as technique work and getting open, because it’s going to be a challenge.
We know Coach Fox spent a lot of time there. I think he was very well appreciated in Carolina. But it’s definitely good to always win against the team you just left. But we’re focused on what we can do. Obviously Coach Fox understands what it means to go home, but it’s us versus Carolina, so we’ve got to make sure we do everything possible to win.
We head to the airport in a few hours, so talk to you next week.

B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!
Catch some TD’s Eric!!
Eric, I know you and Thomas refer to yourselves as Salt and Pepper. I would like to suggest an alternative. Bear with me for a second cause it will not sounds like a good idea at first. However, I think the reasonning behind it is sound.
I recently saw someone refer you and Thomas as “Stumble and Fumble”. Honestly, I think you should adopt this. Yes, it was meant as an insult. However, you embrace it and then work to refute it on the field, then you get a commical nickname that represents past struggles and never lets you forget what it takes to succeed. Take the insult and flip it on its head.
Just a thought.
Anyway, you guys have been balling out and I know us fans love having you guys on this team.
Also, I will also be on the field on Sunday during practices so pretty stoked about that!! Hope to get some autos on the field as well but am not sure if I will.
I’m taking my nice camera with me on Sunday on the field so I will take lots of great pictures and will post the link to where everyone can see the pics on Sunday night. Here’s to seeing Miller have another 3 sack game. He was on fire last Sunday!!!
I have been a Broncos fan since I was a child and am now 39 years old. I have never been more excited to watch even now living in Georgia. The weapons on offense are the best that I can remember and can not wait to see what the rest of the season has in store. I can only imagine what kind of feeling it is to be one of the receivers that catches passes from one of the best NFL players ever to play the game. I was disappointed last year when you got injured but am enjoying the Pro Bowl year you are having this year and years to come.
Coach Fox this week I believe will be more than prepared to face the Panthers. Although the Panthers seem to be improving as the season progresses, it’s my belief Coach Fox and the Broncos will be more prepared to deal with the pass rush of the Panthers and will allow Peyton to complete the throws and set up the run.
The Broncos has been getting better every week and I’m excited to see how you all start off the game and establish the tempo and getting the Panthers off balance. I think Von Miller will be the key this week to slowing down the run and containing Cam Newton. I know this will be an emotional win for Fox and can not wait to see how you guys have prepared for the game and ensure him the win against his old team. Good luck to you Eric and the Broncos!
Good luck Eric! Light em up! Go Broncos!
Do you think the players will sign autographs and take pictures when I see them at the hotel today and tomorrow??
Good luck boys! Bronco Nation has your back! 100% every play
CANT WAIT FOR SUNDAY..AND GO BRONCOS PLAY BRONCOS FOOTBALL
Eric… Love you!have a great game Sunday!
The Int in the endzone of last game wasn’t your fault Eric. Peyton should’ve recognized the defender beat you to the spot and put it on your back shoulder, there was no one behind you and no Bengal could’ve made a play on the ball. As great as Peyton is, we can’t have mistakes like that especially in the RED ZONE. Drew Brees makes that play in his sleep!!!
Good luck tomorrow. My wife watches the games just to see you play (I’m not sure how to take that).
Stumble and fumble! I love it. Im tired of watching Decker do retarded stuff. Like when he slides like hes a quarterback. Or when he gives up on the play when the corner pushes him. Or when he runs right into our own guys. When he falls on his face, and when he drops catchable balls. Bench him for the week! I would rather watch Matt Willis play.
Finally, somebody appears to be watching the same games that I am. Decker plays like a sissy.
Stokley weighs 180 pounds, Decker weighs 220. Stokley plays a lot more physical than Decker. Why dont you play basketball Eric!
I hated I had to miss last Sunday’s game…but I was on a flight to Jamaica.
I made sure to find out the score as soon as we landed. What a great way to kick off my vacation! I’m back on Columbus now & looking forward to heading to my favorite Bronco friendly bar and watching the game with the other 4 Bronco fans in my area. We might be small in number around here, but we make a LOT of noise! Good luck tomorrow Eric!
Drove from Montana to watch the team play in San Diego. So blessed to see that game live! Seriously, that shoulder roll was the bomb. You look good from every angle!!! Can’t wait for tomorrow’s win, and thanks for blogging, GQ!
And I thought I had been rough on Decker, LOL.
lol… decker is a great reciever. I know he did some questionable things this season but hey. we all make mistakes. I’d like to see you pick that ball over the bengal cb. Couldnt’ do it? decker can. Stfu and go back to your dayjob not being a Bronco please.
Hey misty, amybe i’ll come watch the game with ya. I live in ohio haha.
