We’re recognizing a special cause this week with our military appreciation game at Sports Authority Field.
It means a lot to me to support our troops. A lot of guys put their lives on the line and go out and fight for us. Some football players look at playing football like a battle, but if we lose, we just go home. If they lose, they lose their lives.
We have a lot of appreciation for those guys. It’ll be great to honor them this weekend.
We were only allowed to put one branch’s decal on the outside of our helmet, but each branch is important for us, so I put the Marines sticker on the outside and the other four inside my helmet.
We have a tough division matchup this week versus San Diego. We watch the whole game film from the last time we played, but that was a special game. They’re going to come in and play 60 minutes this game. They’re going to play us different and we’re going to play them different from the first time we played so it’s tough to take too much from the tape.
We added one of my fellow linebacker back this week in D.J. Williams. It’s great to get a veteran like him back. He’s got fresh legs so he can come out there and help us continue to make progress as a defense.
