Editor’s Note: This season, DenverBroncos.com will feature two player blogs. Wide receiver Eric Decker will check in with a new post every week. Below is his first entry of the season.

What’s going on, everyone?
This is Eric Decker, and I’m excited to take over a blog this season. I’m going to check in once a week and give you guys a little insight as the season rolls on. I’m going to try to take you behind the scenes as much as I can and answer any questions you have.
It’s fun this time of year, because it’s been a great offseason. Everybody’s been working extremely hard to get to this point. We feel good about this team and we’re excited to kick it all off this Sunday against Pittsburgh.
We’re really counting on you guys to come out to the stadium and make sure we have that home-field advantage.
Pittsburgh’s definitely a tough team, and we’re going to have a test in front of us. But we’re excited for it and we know you guys are excited, too.
What I want to do at the end of each post is make sure to let you know you can ask me questions, and I’ll answer some of them each week next time I write a blog.
What do you want to know?
Looking forward to talking with you every week.

A a player, how lethal do you think the offense is this year?
Hi Eric!
I am so excited to watch you and the rest of the Broncos play this year! My question is: Do you have a pre-game ritual and if so, what is it?
Big Deck, What Up Big Digg!!! I Keep Hearing These Dumb Analyst Saying We Have No Weapons 4 Peyton Lmao… They Must Of 4Got, but That’s How We Want It but Watch After Week 4 When Ur Leading All WR In Catches!!! Breakout Year 4 U 87, They Ain’t Knowing… Just Stay Focused! Ur New Nickname Is Big Deck!!! Gdluck This Season Cuzz…
hey hey its opening day. cant wait to smash them steelers tonight. How has Peyton helped you the most. I i have been waiting a while now to see someone come and where that 87 jersey with force in my eyes Ed McCaffery was the greastest bronco to ever where that number and still is one of the2. all my dreams are coming true this year.Cant wait to see you come to my hometown (Kansas City) and light these Chiefs up and shut all my friends up. we will see you and a lot of my other Broncos in the Pro Bowl this year… after we win the Super Bowl!
Hey Eric,
First of thanks for taking the time to talk with us fans we really appreciate hearin from our favorite players. Way to go against the Steelers you all looked great and you made Bronco Country come alive keep up the great work. It is really awesome seeing 87 on the field Eddy Mac was one of our favorites and you are doing him proud keep up the good work. I do have to ask one question though: As a younger receiver in the NFL how big of a difference does it make in your own player developement to have a quarter back like Peyton? I just wonder because there are a lot of great qb’s out there but none that study the game as well as him. Thanks again Eric great game and we will see you next week.
Great game tonight! I loved seeing Manning for a full game picking apart that Steelers defense. My question is not football related. What is your favorite hobby besides football? Whitetail season is approaching, are you much of a hunter?
CONGRATS ON THE WIN ERIC!!!!! GIVE ALL THE GUYS IN THE LOCKER ROOM A SHOUT OUT FROM PUEBLO COLORADO!
WERE PROUD OF YOU GUYS! GREAT TEAM EFFORT!!!!!!
NOW BRING ON THE DIRTY BIRDS!!!!!!!! MONDAY NIGHT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!! KEEP PEYTON AND YOURSELF SAFE!!!!!
Great game. It was terrific to see the defense and offense doing well although there are things that need to be worked on as a team grows together. Do you forsee the offense going more towards a non huddle since that is what Peyton does best and was what kicked the offense into first gear?
Thanks you for writing your comments and keeping your loyal fans included. Speaking for myself, I truly appreciate it! It was a great game against the Steelers and I went to bed very happy that night. I hope to do the same come Monday night.
Congrats on the first win and will be rooting for the Broncos from Florida on Monday evening. GO BRONCOS!!
Really enjoyed the game last week. I had to follow my favorite QB even after he moved! I was watching your plays and now have found a new reason to watch the Bronco’s! It was a little tricky cheering against Pittsburgh, since they are my home state team, but was glad to see your team play well with your new QB. Great game, very exciting!
