Tim Tebow gets his shot.
When Tebow takes the field on Sunday, October 23 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, we’ll all start to get an idea of how good he might be, or might not be.
There are plenty of people who think Tebow will shine and that he has simply been an opportunity away from greatness.
Others think he will never be a great NFL quarterback.
I have no idea how all of this will turn out, either on the 23rd or over the long haul. I really don’t. And I don’t feel any need to offer a prediction.
On the one hand, if anyone has the makeup to be great, Tebow seems to be that person. His character, work ethic, leadership ability, desire and heart are all qualities which not every player has. In a sport like football, all of these characteristics can undoubtedly make a difference in any given game.
On the other hand, people who know football much better than I do have dissected seemingly every aspect of Tebow’s mechanics, acumen and performances to this point in his career. And many have come to the conclusion that Tebow will not amount to a great quarterback.
The debate has raged on.
I can understand the frustration of those who have wanted to see Tebow play sooner. I can understand the points made to support that position.
I can also understand those who are skeptical about the possibilities for Tebow to have long-term success. After all, the NFL is not college football. Success at the college level certainly doesn’t guarantee success in the NFL.
I find it much harder to understand why many of Tebow’s passionate believers have felt it necessary to label others who don’t share the belief that Tebow will definitely be great that they are somehow rooting against him to be so.
I hope Tim Tebow becomes a great NFL quarterback. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he does.
I have no idea if he will but I am really interested to find out.
At least now it is time for the talk to give way to play.
Thanks for reading,
Mike

Yes`, it`ll be interesting to see how Tim Tebow does when defenses adjust to his roll out of the pocket or whatever he does to gain some yards with his athleticism. It`ll be fun to watch it unfold this year.
Not quite in my mind, 2 DTs at the minimum, same with RBs, CBs and OLs, plus another safety because Dawk will be gone and a weakside LB as DJ will be gone too. That’s 10 guys, about right, 7 in the draft and 3 in FA unless we get more picks like for Lloyd and maybe we’ll need 11 new guys with a QB if Tebow doesn’t work out. It will be an interesting off season as always, we’ll say what we want and they will shove something completely different down our throats, LOL.
Rice for President! Haha.
If they trade Lloyd do you think that Riley might be activated? Tebow and Riley seemed to have chemistry in the pre-season. Might be a good pairing. I thought that he and Gaffney had good chemistry last year too.
Defenses playing Tebow will have to do just like when they play Vick, have a spy on him all the time and that will free up someone if he can get the ball to him.
Chargers had a spy in 2nd half…
Decker, Royal, Willis and Thomas would be enough to keep Riley on the PS for now, but if either Royal or Thomas can’t go, they might.
And Quan Cosby probably has the nod over Riley for his good ST contribution too.
Tebow to Willis is what I want to see more of.
But with Fox it will be a lot of the other Willis, LOL.
Willis has speed too.
The other Willis has power.
Burner speed, McD said he was the fastest guy on the team.
Cosby had a nice punt return for 30 yds vs. Bolts.
Man, cool. Vaugn is speedy also. I thought Vaugn was the fastest but if Willis is faster than good.
I like Cosby, good acquisition, good slot guy too if Royal can’t go.
How about we trade Lloyd to the Lions for their entire defensive front 4?
Yeah Royal, Cosby is a pleasant surprise. I like Wilhite also as an added addition.
Cosby runs the 40 in 4.44.
Maybe Vaughn is, that’s what I remember McD saying though, maybe he said on O, either way he is the fastets WR we got.
strand…. you’re right. He has been a pleasant surprise on ST.
It`s good with me iether way. We know this Fox is about speed, so he`s using these players well in my book.
That’s right – McD did say Willis was the fastest at the time. Vaughn also has burner speed.
bay…noooooooo! Please, by all means no! Mike
Yeah, Detroit has rebuilt the right way, in the trenches, just what I always say we need to do here, but that’s not how Fox operates, he builds up the edges, remains to be seen how effective of a way that is to rebuild, not sold on it at all, not as rosy for me with Fox as for some here, at least in that regard, and the trenches is where it all starts, but at least I got my running game with Fox, with McD I had nothing, LOL.

Orton’s face on the homepage: “But…but…McD never made me shave! Please let me keep it! I know it’s gross looking but my baby girl likes it and the fans don’t therefor I am obligated to love it!”
Lmao, Rice wants none of Obama’s nightmare!
LMAO!
One more year and Nobama is history.
I wonder what kind of draft pick we`ll get for Lloyd if he is traded, I`m curious. We have 4 days to find out.
Tebow career stats:
50% completions, 733 yards, 8.0 yards per attempt, 6 tds and 3 picks, 84.2 rating (264 yards rushing 7 td’s).. The dude basically has played in less than 4 full games ( 3 starts, 1/2 starts, scattered plays). And he as 13 touchdowns already… Are you kidding me? Isn’t football about scoring? The team averages over 24 points per game with him.. And he is a FREAKING youngster.. Oh his completion is low.. Do you think it will improve? Give me a break.. We are looking at good stats for a 3 game starter.. He has a track record and it is good. All the haters/doubters have been backed into a corner. And they can’t let up of else they will look stupid. If Tebow doesn’t have 60% completion percantage then he stinks.. Even though he is scoring TD’s and has a great td to int %, it’s not good enough for the doubters..
Tom Brady 1st year as a starter:
86.5 passer rating, 6.9 yards per attempt, 1.5 td/int %
P. Manning:
71.2 passer rating, 6.5 yards per attempt, 0.93 td/int %
Dree Brees:
76.9 passer rating, 6.2 yards per attempt, 1.06 td/int %
TIM TEBOW:
84.2 passer rating, 8.0 yards per attempt, 2.00 td/int %
Yeah, Tebow stinks… He’ll never be a good starter in this league.. Remember all the haters have NO STATS to back their opinion..
We might go from a black man President to a Mormon President and only twelve years or so ago many thought we would get a woman President elected first, as unpredictable as the NFL, LOL.

lololololol
Please give me the win and loss stats on all those guys and I’ll look at them the rest is basically garbage in the end.
Just as long as we get someone in there who will turn the economy around. Fox can turn the Broncos around, so why not a Mormon for president. I`m no mormon, but I`d vote for him.
I think Tebow can help us this year with say maybe 4 or five more wins this year. It`s doable.
I’ll be attending the Lions game…. crowd is going to be pumped as Tebow will make his first home start of the year.
Very tough opponent vs. Lions as they have it coming together for them, but they’re due for a trap game, right?
The trap games are the bad teams best friends, haha.
What the heck is Hulk Hogan doing bashing Tebow?!?!?!? That was just sad……….
Hogan, YOU ARE OLD BROTHER! and no longer relevant IMO. You just did a wrestling show in my small home town in Newfoundland, Canada, where, btw apparently you and your cronies split town still owning thousands in unpaid bills for the gig. Bigtime wrestlers don’t even come to my province, alone my small hometown of 10,000 people! That’s where washed up has-beens go to try and make a buck.
Your opinion means squat……..
And nice job getting those pre-tears in the jersey so you could rip it off…………like you’re actually strong enough to do that. LOL
Hogan, you’re a bum!
That`ll be a great game for the crowd at Mile High, shear electric. Man, I`d sure like to see that game live.
If you want that to happen rbf1, better hope the Lions beat Atlanta Sunday, otherwise no trap game.
I’ve been watching Tebow’s first starts and some of these throws are awesome. Some are horrible. The argument should not be whether or not he can throw the ball well; it should be whether or not he can do it consistently. In fact, I heard a commentator say, “Who said Tebow can’t throw the ball; whoever said that doesn’t know what they are talking about”. So, knowing he can throw and knowing he can run, with practice and playing consistency will improve. No doubt about it. The most interesting thing is:
1. Most of the awesome throws are in pressure situations.
2. Most of the awesome throws are into better coverage.
3. Most of the horrible throws are to wide open receivers.
I can tell why they say he is a bad practice player, no pressure.
Anyway, time to find out!
GO BRONCOS!
Trade/Cut Orton
Trade/Cut Orton
Trade/Cut Orton
PLEASE!
Detroit actually has to take care of SF first before playing Atlanta.
The Falcons and after that the 49ers.
Yeah I saw Hulk Hogan being an idiot. I met him about 2 years ago and he is not that big and he is flabby. All those roids and being lazy = flab. Guess he needed some publicity so he rips on Tebow. He is such a has been that wrestling doesn’t even want him anymore.
Yeah, the 49ers traveling to Ford Field. It’s going to be loud for them.
That should be a good matchup this weekend… two Teams that are playing really well.
Oh, flip flop. LOL
I guess Hogan needs to do something to make a buck………he prob pays through the nose for his wife’s alimony! haha
Yep, that comes with aging. It`s the inevitable. You can`t stop it. LOL
So Hulk is ripping Tim huh?
