louisianabroncofan, McD already picked the QB of the future, Brandstater. It woul really surprise me if he went for a QB next year. Brandstater has the exact built and aptitudes than Brady had when they picked him with a late pick. In the long run, three years, maybe two, it will be Brandstater turn to shock the world. Remember if you think McD will pick a QB with his first pick you pretty much can be sure he won't, look how he surprised everyone with this year's picks. The guy has got real football brains as far as evaluating talent, we are just sideline fans without much of a clue has he proved to us this past draft.

hey cisco24 dont forget we traded our 1st pick to seattle so our 1st pick depends on the chicago bears season. we have their pick. i hope they spiral downhill but they look like a 10-6 team so far. maybe the hillenmeyer injury is gonna keepem without a mlb for awhile and they lose 10 games when the season ends. i like alphonso smith and all but man i wish we had 2 first rounders to trade up for a premier qb that could even sit behind orton for a year. mcdaniels will know what qb to pick bcause he is a darn qb GENIOUS. and he will turn whoever he picks into a superstar. dont doubt that for a second. it looks good for the long term bronco fans. and i am loving it.

i hate the fact that knowbody gives us respect, but in actuality we haven't earn respect. our defense is not tested yet or proven against the beeter offebses in the nfl, offensively, we are sorry, but as long as we keep trying will get better. god help us .

I read alot about Goodman getting beat at the end of the game, BUT I must correct all of you. Watching the film, the defense shaded Goodman's side with Hill under. As stated by coaches and players "we forced them toward Champ". Two other BIG reason's Romo went to Hurd, was that Ayers and DJ took the middle away.
On to the 3rd and 4th down runs by Knowshon. Both times Peyton Hillis (our FB) was not in the game. On the 4th, Reid (playing FB) stumbled. I think the neck injury is affecting Peyton and that is why he has played less.

Two advantages for the Broncos. NE has very little film on Marshall in this offense and McD knows Brady better than anyone. The defense will be well prepared.

As for the 2010 draft, do not try to quess. If off we do not have the knowledge and second, NOBODY came close as to what McD and GMX ended up doing.

We are now underway to take on the teams that make our schedule one of the toughest schedules for a team. Even though every team that we are about to play is not undisputed such as we still can't overlook the fact that these upcoming games are going to be much more harder to win. And now that we are 4-0 we especially have gained more of a reason for these teams to play harder than ever against us. I love that were 4-0 but I also understand that we beat the easiest teams that we were scheduled to play.

"Forever with you ORANGE & BLUE"

Mike, once again thanks for your input, but like i posted before we are going to win by playing 60 minutes of football, and by the looks of it our broncos are doing what it takes to win games, im not saying we should be satisfied but we need to have faith, negative vibes equals negative production by our team, the season has barely begone and with all the off season drama that went on in denver, and all the critics going agents our broncos, we should be more than proud of our broncos. we cant win them all but i see us going far, if we could keep playing better football every week, we could find our self"s being the team to "beat", and that sounds not so impossible anymore, as long as we keep saying negative things about our own team, we cannot defend our team when anybody has anything to say about them, we need to show faith!!! one game at a time denver, we cannot get ahead of our self"s keep up the great work every week!!!

Baylinorcrush, I definitely have to agree with your first post. Especially about the 1 yd runs on 3rd and 4th downs that we didn't convert. I was livid when I saw that. Nonetheless, I think that Mc D will learn from that one. Or at least I hope so.

Way off topic, but I was reading Lindy's and got caught up on reading about next years draft. Obviously too early to tell but who do you think the Broncos should go with, with our 1st pick??? The only offensive position I can see us going with is QB. I personally like Terrance Cody. He is a mammoth of a man. My first pick would be Taylor Mays, but he'll be gone long before our first pick (I would assume).

Like I said, too early to tell, but I'd like to se what you all think. And no, my focus is still on the season at hand. Just kinda fun to peer into the future.

Thanks for the great post Mike.

Great job from the defense, people all over the place and hitting hard. Goodman can't play soft or take plays off this week, or Brady will see that and make him pay. Otherwise the D played awsome.

Offense needs to stop the penalties. Any QB will have a hard time getting first downs when he has so many 3rd and 15 / 20. That really needs to be fixed. When we did not have the penaltys we moved the ball well. Also, a QB needs to have the recievers make a play on the ball. Look at Brady, Manning, and the other top QB's. They have recievers go get he ball. ( like Marshall did) Orton still has the glove and the timing is still not quite there. Confidence is growing with him and Brandon is now on the wagon big time. Defense is playing great and the offense is soon to follow. Im not saying Orton is the best in the league, but he is running the O very well and not throwing picks or making mistakes. The passing game is just going to take a little longer to gel. When it does the only one that will be able to stop us, is us.

TXBRONCO - I stand by my comments. Just because we don't have an all-star QB doesn't mean we're going in the wrong direction. Other teams in this league have NEVER been spoiled by the Elway/Cutler type talent at the QB position. I've been a Broncos fan since my brain became cognitive as a child. We don't need that type of talent to win. I believe Orton is keeping the seat warm but he's doing enough for us to win. Pat Bowlen loves this team as much as anyone and he's the last call on everything. I won't blindly criticize my team before I've seen the results, I guess that's just too much to ask of other "fans".
