I don’t see the defense really improving until next season at any rate. I hope McD can get a running game going, we are going to need it!

6-15OnlyWay, your right for the record no where does it say a “former” exec.. Sorry. I did misread the first paragraph and thought it said Former. Sorry.
Your post just startled me, because there is no way Cutler deserves more than the 48 Million dollar 6yr. contract He has currently committed to.

Well, its looking like its a done deal. Jay is off to who knows where. Its my opinion that this deal will be to the detriment of both Cutler and our beloved team. I hope McDaniels proves to worth the cost thats been paid. Jay should have stepped up and proved his mettle but, any chance of truly being competitive this season will leave with Cutler. I don’t know what was said in the meetings, but both sides could have handled the situation better. The fact that the powers that be even entertained the original trade talks is beyond ridiculous though. Before that, we had a talented, young, pro bowl QB. Now, what are we going to be left with? A young and unproven coach? Draft picks that will more than likely be squandered by the same people that started this mess in the first place? I hope when the dust settles, our boys can compete. Jay will be missed, but i still bleed orange and blue.

So maybe you should reread it” Anyway I know the rep williamson has and that is why I asked if anyone else had heard anything on the matter.. Cause I think a deal like that would have been way bigger than a little blog.. Im sorry if you misunderstood me as how i wrote it could lead in a different way. I didnt mean that they had done it, just merely seeing what was up with the article because it was worded differently..

Hey Broncos Faithful,
I truly hope that this situation can be fixed. That said, Josh McDaniels is the coach and I believe he wants to win now. He comes from the most successful franchise of the past decade. That organization always put the team first and foremost above all individuals. Tom Brady bought into that philosophy and he will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. Coach McDaniels tutored Brady, and made a very competent quarterback out of Matt Cassel.
I think Jay Cutler has all the potential in the world. He has a great arm, can scramble and works very well with the young group of players around him. He does have flaws though. He has thrown too many interceptions, lost too many games (although the defence had a lot to do with that), and he has not played one play-off game yet. He should swallow his pride and realize that his situation in Denver looks pretty good (no matter how he feels about the coach).

6-15OnlyWay, I suggest you go back and reread that Blog it’s an interview of a former Exec….. and it was only suggestde the the Broncos brass offer a extention.
Oh and one more thing that was bill williamson at espn, He’s the the lead stooge for the afc west gossip colomn. unreliable. just call Mike Shanahan in KC and ask him, oh ya williamson was wrong about that too.

Hey real quick I just read a report from an ESPN analyst that said pretty much that the broncos have offered Cutler a contract extension..

Has anyone read anything else on it..
