Getting that first win was cool. It was a blessing. I just feel blessed and honored to be able to share it with a group of guys that I have love for in this organization. Just overall it’s always a good feeling.
I was thankful for Coach Fox’s first win as the Broncos’ coach, and we players need to make sure he has many more to come. Because he deserves it.
The game came down to a drive in the fourth quarter, and the defense had to step up. It was just a point in time in the game where big-time playmakers made big-time plays in big-time situations. Wilhite, Von, the whole defense, we came together and we made it happen. But it all started off when the offense set the tone for us. Overall it was great execution on both sides of the ball.
When that last pass of the game hit the ground right beside me, I was obviously excited. My whole goal is just to get the ball on the ground so we can leave and go home with a W. Then I heard fans screaming and guys rushed the field, so I knew we did the job.
A.J. Green and those guys did a great job, too — he’s got a bright future. It was a good experience this past weekend.
Now we’re most definitely looking for a good follow-up to that win in Week 3. Winning is always the key. We’re playing a great opponent in Tennessee, and they came off a great win against the Ravens, so I’m sure they’re ready to launch their season as much as we are.
I’m ready for a hostile environment, the first road game of the season. I think we’re ready as a team. It’s not going to be an easy walk in the park, but we’re going to go in there, play football, compete and have fun. It’s going to be a great task.

First! and before Rahim’s blog was actually posted.
Guess he had nothing to say LOL.
Congratulations Rahim on your first W in a Broncos’ uni.
Going off of the name of his blogs, I just sense greatness in the making.
“It’s a blessing” and “Winning is always key”
Winning is everything. Good post Rahim, go get them, little closer to the action this time though, seems like they had you stay way back with a rookie QB, which means you saw very little action, but we got the win and that’s all that matters. Glad to hear you realize fully how tough the challenge will be this week.
They had Rahim as the don’t break feature of the D last week lol. I am confident soon enough we will see 2-6 laying the lumber on some Wide Outs.
Great post Rahim! Good luck to all of you guys this coming weekend. We all will be rooting for you. Come home with a W!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Good job Rahim,
You guys are back on track, but what is the key to stopping Ten? I hope you can shut down Chris Johnson early and often and make them beat you with the pass! GOOD LUCK moving forward!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!
nice win! Hope you like the taste! Its going to be a very tough challenge for you and this team the next two weeks facing two very tough teams. This will be the true test of what this team is all about. We’ll get to see how we stack up against elite players. short handed. on the road. I wish you guys the best of luck! win or lose, try to have as much fun as possible. Positive things come from positive feelings. GO BRONCOS!!
Dont let a loss get you down if that happens. These are good teams. Just try to enjoy the experience and learn from it as much as possible. Also. cherish the wins, but no matter how good you get, always look to get better.
just compete for 60 minutes and you’ll go to bed knowing you gave it your all no matter the outcome
Thanks for checking in 2-6! I
Congrats on the win. I must say, it is certainly a great thing to hear “we’re going to go in there, play football, compete and have FUN”!
Those elements have seemed to be lacking (for lack of a better word) for the last few years.
Have a good game!
GO BRONCOS in 2011, Tackle Tough in Tennessee!
The keys that “Winning” supply you are:
gaining…Confidence!
supplying…Motivation!
driving…Determination!
instilling…Hard Work!
The key to winning is minimizing your mistakes.
Bring home a “W” Rahim !!
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
BIG congrats to you & the defense working together and getting the job done. Our defense needs to play like they did in those finals minutes of the game all season long.
Winning is the key, but working as a TEAM is how you get that done.
Tough game it will be against Tennessee but you guys can come back home with the W. I believe in the Orange & Blue!! lol
GO BRONCOS 2011!!!!
All I can keep telling myself is Any Given Sunday, right?
Teams can come off big victories and keep it rolling….or they can make it a dud, just like the Ravens did against this team last week. You just never know what might happen.
The key to this game, either win or lose, is to play hard for a full 60 minutes in all 3 aspects. Doing that will ensure we’re at least competitive and the concept of “team” will become stronger.
Oh, and of course, we all know that Orton needs to play better and convert more of those opportunities in the red zone.
And can we pease limit our penalties to just a few? LOL
agreed we need to start playing a little SMARTER. Its amazing how cutting down on penalties can make controlling the game so much easier. goes without saying that you get further in the marathon if you dont shoot yourself in the foot along the way.
These guys are young and mistakes will happen but making as a TEAM rather than individually. Killerkod is absolutely right. Gotta compete for 60 minutes. that will get these guys playing for each other every sunday. win or lose, we do it together!
Congrats to you on your first win as a Denver Bronco 2-6. Many more to come as well. God Bless You!
Bay, I got a big kick out of you being better than the Denver Post, Goodwin and not Goodman. Hey, I got Goodwins name right yesterday also. atleast I know my players on the Broncos, including our PS. LOL
Man, another new blog, hard to keep up. LOL! next!
the game this week vs ten we are going to have to shut down kenny britt and nate burleson cj has not done anything this year i really believe our pass defense is a strength with a healthy champ and dumervil without them we are in for a long day.. broncos win 21-17
Go out there and lay some wood on KB and Wash…Make that statement hit and the rest will be easier…Have a great road trip, stay healthy and “BAM”! Just take it a notch on this recipe laden season…Go Broncos!
Rahim: I would like to ash you a question. What happen to the defense when we got a sack for a lose of 10 or more yards, making it 3rd (I think it was 3rd down) down & 20 or more yds. for a first down, & on the very next play we allow them to get a first down? Everyone was jumping around like the game just ended. We must of fallen asleep on next play. I hope you guys stay awake the hole game against the Titans.
Rahim: Please forgive my spelling. It’s ask not ash.
