Credit to the Blockers

October 12th, 2011 - 1:26pm by Willis McGahee

This week I just want to give credit to the big guys up front.

The O-line, basically they’ve been doing a great job as far as opening up holes for me, giving me lanes to run down and make plays for our team. I’m just happy to be a part of it.

As for the bye week, I usually just go home and relax, hang with the family, get away from football for a little while so I can come back and be ready for work.

That’s the same thing I’m doing this year. I’m going to head home, hang with my mom and just chill out.

McGahee: “Why you pinching me bro & be careful back there I had burritos before the game.” haha

  2. Ty-one-on says:

Willis you are a class act. You’re a great addition to the Broncos.

I hope you run all over opposing defenses this year. Think playoffs my friend. I know you guys can do it now, you just got to believe it’s possible.

  3. sndvl says:

Congrats on another 100 yard game. I hope you hit 1,000 for the season. Sorry about the loss.

On another note, whats your thoughts on the Fins hosting a UF reunion in the U’s back yard?! Lol (just kidding. I dont expect a response!!!)

  4. Carsonic says:

The line is definitely coming together better this year, no doubt about it, but McGahee has added some much-needed vision, experience, and power to the backfield.

  5. royalbroncofan1 says:

Congrats to the O-line and you for averaging 7.8 per carry vs. the Chargers last Sunday.

    Enjoy your bye week!

  6. Orange you glad says:

Have a safe trip and get back ready to blow the did of the Dolphins I will be at that game to see you do it in person so glad you are a Bronco Willis you are a breath of fresh air around here.

  7. RSH says:

I am very excited about the prospects of our backfield moving forward. The offensive line has kicked it into high gear the past two games. With Tim Tebow at quarterback, Willis McGahee as a power, downhill runner, and Knowshon Moreno serving as a change of pace/swing pass/screen pass catching machine, defenses are going to have difficulty defending the Broncos’ backfield.

  8. silentway47 says:

I’m really glad Willis is here. I really want him to retire a Bronco, he’s a good guy.

  9. 1nOnlyTRB says:

No RB can do it without thier Oline. Congrats on the good season so far and enjoy your bye week.

    Later days, TRB

    23,

As many have stated before, we love you here! Retire here my friend! You’ve proven to yourself, your family and your friends you belong in this NFL!

Enjoy your bye week sir! You’ve earned it! Keep that offensive unit focused! THIS SEASON IS NOT LOST! I had you predicted at 12-4…easy math says you’re out of games to put in the loss column…guess you’re gonna have to win out! :)

    rest up!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  11. baylinorcrush says:

This guy is quickly becoming one of my favorite Bronco, no bs, to the point, straight forward, uncomplicated, dedicated to the cause, loves his mama and seemingly clean living, what else would anyone want from a player. Love the guy!

  12. armadillo_orton says:

Glad you’re here Willis! I’m looking forward to you getting 100 yards every week! GO BRONCOS!

  13. armadillo_orton says:

Man, it sure feels nice to be back good old Bronco football! I can’t wait for next week! I think with our offense taking less 3 and outs, it’s going to help keep our defense fresh.. Which means Doom & Miller getting more sacks each game… I predict our defense will finish the year in the top 10 overall… It’s on!!

  14. BeastFromEast92 says:

Congrats on your 3rd 100 yard rushing game this year!!!

You are welcome in Denver as long as you want to stay(hopefully you retire as a Bronco)!!!

    armadilo_orton,

Hello there fellow bronco fan! I would like to take a moment to say how nice it is to read your posts. They’re now filled with pride, optimism, enthusiasm (well your angry post were always enthusiastic!). It’s nice my friend!

Can I make a suggestion? I for one believe that the front office printed out both yours and Bay’s blogs. They analyzed them, read them, slept with them. They carried them to breakfast, to meetings and yes, even to the toilets! When the decision came down to start Tebow, I knew it was a combination of Bay’s well thought out long term plan from where he sees the organization and where it needs to go and your……um…..well…..over the top voice of disspleasure! For those sirs, I salute you both!

Now for my suggestion. Change your handle! Your job is done! LOL!

    GO GET EM’ BOYS!

  19. bronco916 says:

shout out to willis and the broncos! holdin down that Mile High Salute all the way from CA. Your the best man!

  20. baylinorcrush says:

    WOW!

I’m either loved or hated on this blog.

I must be the Tebow of bloggers, LOL.

  21. jwscout says:

That line and running game has been nice to see this year good job gents!!

  22. RSH says:

The Oakland Raiders made a trade for linebacker Aaron Curry today. In exchange, the Seattle Seahawks received a seventh round pick and a conditional mid-level pick, believed to be a fourth or fifth round draft pick. Curry is a former first round draft choice of the Seahawks–taken number four overall in 2009.

  23. strandoftds says:

Bay, are you a south paw?

  24. baylinorcrush says:

No but my brother is, haha.

RSH finding out that there are indeed trades in mid season in the NFL.

  25. strandoftds says:

RSH, the raiders already traded away their 2012 picks of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounders to begin with. The trade for Curry is a undisclosed 2012 and undisclosed 2013.

  26. baylinorcrush says:

What was the other trade you were talking about strand?

  27. strandoftds says:

Jets last night traded 37 year old WR Derrick Mason to the Texans.

  28. baylinorcrush says:

So Mason started with Tennessee, the new Oilers and ends up with the Texans, the original Oilers, talk about closing the circle.

  29. strandoftds says:

    LOL! But yes!!

  30. strandoftds says:

    Houston, we`ve got a problem.

  31. strandoftds says:

If he becomes a Eagle some day we can say ‘The Eagle Has Landed.”

  32. RSH says:

Trades are possible, but rare, like I said. I never said they never happen. There just isn’t a trading frenzy in the NFL near the trade deadline like there is in MLB and the NBA, baylin.

Additionally, I never specified the year for the traded draft picks, so there was no need to try to correct something that was never written by me, strand.

  33. strandoftds says:

I`m just being specific is all.

  34. RSH says:

    No worries, strand.

  35. baylinorcrush says:

Always just a tat serious with RSH, better be on our best behavior, BFE knows all about that, LOL.

  36. strandoftds says:

My intention was not to correct you personally. If I came across that way, it was unintentional. No woorries on my side as well.

  37. strandoftds says:

    ooops, no worries.

  38. strandoftds says:

My worries are with the Ortonite brothers. HaHa!!

  39. akeem0707 says:

looking forward to next week bay bay is coming back

  40. GeorgeinABQ says:

    Willis,

We are very fortunate to have you on our team! Thanks for all the hard work you put in, in the games. You deserve starter and all the snaps because you produce….and Baltimore thought you were washed up. Ha!

  41. dizzolve says:

    Willis

I cannot tell you how great it is to see you running like are. Guys hangin off ya, or you slithering through a crack and sometimes just plain old running people over. We really appreciate your humble nature and what appears to be excellent camaraderie.

Glad you’re happy here! Keep grinding those yards out and take some pressure off the kid and stay healthy. :salute:
