Hey Coop, man am I loving your blogs lately. You get funnier by the second.
I pick Pittsburgh only because they’ve got everything going for them and after watching them run all over Baltimore… Arizona has their hands full. However, Arizona are the underdogs, more than we were in our SB wins and so I’d love for them to win just because we once were in their position as the underdogs and no one ever gave us a second thought, let alone a first one!!
Either way, I’m just glad the Crybabies aren’t a choice in all this… still laughing about their millionth playoff loss, too funny for words!!

I can’t help but root for Kurt Warner, he really reminds me of John Elway when The Broncos back doored The GreenBay Packers and took the Lombardi Trophy away from them. I would really like to see The Cardinals beat The Stealers but I don’t think they quite have what The Broncos did back then and Pittsburg is better now than GreenBay was then. Pittsburg by three.

I am going to say the Cardinals by 3. They are not nearly as bruised as the Steelers, they have achieved a better balance than the Steelers in the post season, and thier Playmakers are all healthy. (Vs. Hines Ward). And they are fighting for something they have never had!
I wish I was routing for the Broncos, but go Cards!

It will indeed be a blowout! But it will be the Cardinals that win. The Steelers quite frankly are lucky to be where they are. Yes a great defense allowed a terrible Offense to advance. Unlike the Ravens with Dilfer, Pittsburg does not have the offense to win the big game. I have yet to figure out why people think Big Ben is so great. Did you not see how stupid and poorly thrown his long TD in the championship game was. He was the lowest rated quarterback to ever win the big one the last time he won the SB. This Arizona Offense is much better than the Seahawks were. Arizona 38 Pittsburg 13.
I like the Cards guys. Heres why. Ken Whisenhunt is one of the top offensive minds in the game today he makes a living puting defenses out of position, put this together with the fact that the Steelers D hasn’t changed in over a decade I am willing to bet that the former Steelers offensive coordinator knows how to beat that defense and put them out of position. This game reminds me big time of that fateful Superbowl 32 defense of the Packers, the Broncos came out and put the Packers safeties out of position with their game plan allowing us to run and pass deep during that game effectively. I am rooting for the Cards. Too many vets on that team that are really hungry. I think Adrian Wilson will finally get his due in this game look for him to outplay Polamalu deffensively. Adrian has been in this league a long time never getting his due but he has taken it in stride and just played his game now he has a chance to show the world what he can do gotta love that kinda story.

…. so with that said lets talk about the draft and next season… we should get RB ward from giants he gonna be a free agent.. think about it hillis and ward in back field… powerful duo… and we keep pittman just in case… he is old already but boy he still got it…..
i think if the cardinals can get to and then TACKLE roethlisberger they will win. they simply have to tackle him wen they get to him. alot of his plays are made cuz he breaks ten tackles and then throws to a reciever who finally got open. tackle rburger on the 1st try and they will not score as many points. the steelers O is pretty bad to be honest. i also think the cards coaches (formerly steelers coaches) will be able to take apart that D they know all about. maybe not a blowout but cards should win with their newfound aggressive D and suddenly effective running game.

Last time a former asst coach/coach faced former Team – 2002 Super Bowl with Bucs blowing out Raiders. Gruden had just come over to Tampa from Oakland. Whisenhunt is 2 yrs removed from Pittsburgh but knows Dick LeBeau’s defense inside n out. You gotta love the passion Warner is playing with and he’s been to a few SBs’ (won one). This one is gonna surprise alot of people but I believe the Cardinals will be triumphant.

i dont know if any one else seen that jake long is going to the pro bowl instead of jason peters……. the fact that peters was going instead of clady in the first place was the most ridiculous thing i had ever hear of. how is it that clady is on the second team all pro squad but didnt make the pro bowl even as an alternate.
and while i hate the steelers i have little faith that the cards will beat them
The Arizona Cardinals are looking a lot like the New York Giants of last year. A defense that is really agressive, the QB is playing better than anyone, they have an unexpected effective running game, and a knockout WR.
Plus they are getting NO credit.

07elway: Coach McDaniels also hired Don Martindale as LB coach who was with the Raiders. DL coach Wayne Nunnely comes to our staff from San Diego. ST coach Mike Priefer comes to us from Kansas City. (Nice to see we hired within our division).
FYI – Rosters for Steelers/Cardinals show one former Bronco that I recognized. (there might be others)… DE #92 Bertrand Berry who played for Broncos for 3 yrs. (2001 thru 2003 seasons). He is with the Cardinals.

Steelers i don’t think this is gonna be much of a game, the 3rd QT Arizona had a hard time with the blitz, it wasn’t that Warner wasgettin hit or scared he’s a true QB he takes his licks and keeps gettin up and makin plays, it was his O-Line that couldn’t keep up, and that was just the 3rd, Steelers are blitzin all day every down, Steelers have to many play makers all over the field, i think it be awesome if the Cards took it, im from Wheeling West Virginia, and i live right in Steeler country bein 45mins away, so it be nice to see the Steelers ball but, i just don’t see it happenin, and i’ll be rootin for the Steelers because they are in the AFC, to tell you the truth i really don’t care to much i can’t wait till Feb 27th for the free agent market to open up and we can get our team on the roll, and i wanna say this now if we win 10 games next season were goin the the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP, with our schedule next year we only play 4 teams that went under .500 and two of them are KC, and the Raiders, the other two bein Cincinnati, and Cleveland, and those two teams can turn it around it’s not like that don’t have players on there team,

And royalbroncofan1 – thanks for letting me know who our LB coach will be. That wasn’t apart of the article I read on here so thanks for the info!! And I always find it kind of funny when teams hire within their division (whether it be players or coaches)… we play these teams twice every year and you’d think we’d know their next move on the field after all the times we’ve played them. Hopefully they’ll be of some positive use to us unlike what little impact it seems they’ve had for the other teams.

But really I “WANT” the Card’s to win… But it’ll be tough and it can go either way.

I’m on the Cards bandwagon and I’m a little peeved that the Steelers now hold the record for most trips to the Super Bowl by an AFC team. The Broncos and Steelers were tied at 6 trips a piece.

i really love fitz, hes an amazing person off the field and insane on the field. i also love kurt warner, hes alot like mcnabb in how they both get underrated and criticized for theyre play, even tho i do think both have chances to be in the hall of fame some day.
i was pulling for the eagles before cuz mcnabb, b.west, and bdawk really deserve the ring. but since theyre out i’ll go for the cards. warner, fitz, boldin, rogers-cromartie, wilson, alot of them deserve this ring, and so does the franchise after being a crappy team for so long
Why did we let Berry, Price , Heyward go? Our DLine has been terrible since we let these three go. I am bumbed to see every year another former Bronco in the Super Bowl with another team.
I was really glad to see Ed Donatel to the coaching staff. He was great his last time here.(two SuperBowl wins) and he had the # defense when he was with Atlanta a few years ago.
tnalen66, we had to let those guys co because of salary cap problems, probably because we spent a bunch of money to get a good QB back when those guys played for us.

Cant help but root for Warner either, but think Steel Cutains’ going to be able to shut down Fitsgerald and any attempt at running game. Therefore my pick is Steelers by 14.
