monodono YOU know YOUR stuff. Great analysis. To add, the lack of running on 1st down answers as to why Broncos are in the tops of getting to the Red Zone, but rank low in actually SCORING TDs once we get there.
RUN THE BALL!!!!

Rick Dennison-

He's an old school orange crush LB. That gives him major points right there! Now, considering the more serious side of things, every unit Rick coached at Denver excelled. His Special Teams units excelled. His offensive line units excelled. He's excelling as an offensive coordinator in Texas. Let's not forget, he also knows a little bit about 3-4 Defenses.

Theres no doubt in my mind that Cooper knows a lot more about him than I do, but he'd be my first choice.

Didn't you play with him Coop?

Sincerely,

Dennis in Idaho

COOP!
I know I’m obsessed with The Broncos running the ball on fist down , I wanted to try and illustrate why with some stats, that is after they finally posted the gamebook late Thursday. I know your annoyed already but hear me out…I’ve seen this pattern for about five or six years now.

The Broncos last week had 23 first down play’s, on thirteen play’s They called a run and 10 play’s They called a pass play. Sounds pretty darn good and balanced right? Well when you look a little closer you see something that totally correlates with the way the last few games have gone, i.e. (coming out like gangbusters then fizzled.) 1st qtr 3runs, 2nd qtr 7runs, 3rd qtr 3runs, 4th qtr 0runs on first down. Oh and there is more.

I said The Broncos called 10 pass play’s on 1st down, and on 8 of those 10 pass play’s they were incomplete and one went for a Sack. So 9 of those 10 plays went for 0 yards or a loss. Which put’s The Broncos behind with a 2nd and 10. Now we all know Orton had a bad game and it happens but that‘s not what I‘m getting at.

What I’m trying to illustrate is All of our run play’s on first down went for positive yards maybe only 2 but positive yards none the less, and only 1 of 10 pass play’s on first down went for positive yards. I think this is a huge reason why The Broncos go 3&out so often and They don‘t control the TOP. Very often.. If you can’t use the threat of running the ball on first down no matter how many yards you get, then a play action pass on second or third down’s means absolutely nothing. And if your passes on first down go incomplete then Your TEAM is behind the proverbial Gun. Do it often enough and your TOP. Looks like this, Denver 22:46 and kansas city 37:14.

COOP! I’ve seen this pattern for quite a while and I hope Coach Studesville does too.

TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !

COOP!
You Keep on teaching good habits to the Little Guy'sand when your ready I hope you re-join The Broncos as OL Coach. Coach Cooper sounds pretty good to me.

When Josh McDaniels started in Denver the fans started in on Him immediatley with insults and the amount of disrespect was to much for me to take at times, I can't imagine what He was feeling. He may never get that back.

But now it seem's just looking at the atmosphere around Dove Valley and in the press room, when Coach Studesville show's up it seem's everybody straightens up a little and just the way Coach Studesville holds Himself and presents Himself, This Man Commands respect. The more I see the more I like Him. I hope The TEAM rally's behind Him like I think they will. I don't even care if they win another game, ok ok I care but I think Coach Studesville has something that some people are just born with and we all know thats rare. There's not as many True Leaders out there as we might think, but there is a lot of posers. (Gruden ehcoughcough)
Hey one thing I hope Coach Studesville does different this week is run the ball on First Down. You knopw how I am about controlling the Linebackers with the threat of running on first down. Let's see what Choach Studesville does If anyone will I think it's Coach Studesville.
