Turnovers, Penalties, Make for Tough Day

November 22nd, 2009 - 9:36pm by mark_cooper

Tough day today for the fellas. Yep, no need to even look at the stats on this one. Penalties all game were a concern and the turnovers were the nail in the coffin, you might say.

I’m not telling this crew anything you don’t know or didn’t see. Can’t win with turnovers and penalties like we had so…easy analogy. You know the drill. Simple stuff in the world of the NFL.

I noticed it last week and so did you and the announcers in that Chris Simms just took longer to get his reads and that is what is hurting him right now. I thought we would start out with the run and bootlegs getting him out of the pocket and then see if he’d settle in but he never got settled and got pulled early.

Kyle Orton looked awesome when he came in and drove us down the field, until the turnover by Knowshon Moreno going into the end zone. Don’t know if you noticed, but he had both hands on it (covered up) and a lineman’s knee knocked it out tumbling over…weird fumble.

Short week, Giants coming to town and I’ll be there for the game, taking one of my little guys.

Guess this could be called bandwagon week. We’ll see who’s jumping off the bandwagon and who’s sticking it out, right? I know what the the writers at the papers will be doing…throwing rocks…watch.

Hey, let’s hang tough and keep our chins up. I really like this team.

Everything was going so well before the bye week, maybe we should have our bye week in the last week next year.

One thing I am curious about is why we have gone away from zone blocking for the running game? It was a Broncos trademark, and was very successful even with non-elite running backs.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to everybody. I hope it brings a change of fortune for the Team.

Has anybody got any idea of how McDaniels will change things to get some momentum going again?

It seems to me that the team has lost confidence and the only way to get it back is for the Defence and Special Teams to make plays and get turnovers. If we go behind the Offence do not seem to believe they can get back in the game. Only time will tell whether the team have the character to come back and start a winning run again, but the alternative will be hard to bear.

    COOP!
I promise I wore the proper underwear. I’m not taking the blame for this one. What happened to the great communication this TEAM had in the beginning?

    07Elway, I got the faith!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m also requesting that everyone think of those who have nothing today and say a prayer for those military members that cannot be with loved ones today.

A very special thanks to Mark Cooper for taking the time to talk to us, console us, scold us and inspire us. Thank you Coop!!

GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!! The Orange Crush Lives!!

Dawkins leads from the Front. His character comes shining through.

What an inspiring player this man is. He must be one the best players ever to play the game.
