We all know this is going to be a tough year as we’ve talked about it all offseason. Penalties and turnovers can be the difference in a three-point game. We still have some of the same issues we’ve had with inconsistencies on both sides of the ball and little depth right now so we have to play a more disciplined game.
I saw good things and some not so good things last night. Red zone is still a problem and the running game really never got going, so we resorted to passing and we’re effective enough to stay within three points. We have two more games to get the kinks out before we head into the meat of the schedule.
Loved the intensity of the players and the defense and the blitz packages I saw. Dawkins was the Dawkins we all know he is and we had a lot of young players on the field last night at right tackle, tight end, at wide receiver and on defense and I liked what I saw in all of them. SURE we have a lot of work to do but baby steps are in order and I know how some of you don’t have the patience for that BUT you’re going to have to to see this team turn the corner in coming years….period.
P.S.: The 63-yard kick was meaningless to me because it was against us…call me a homer?

Yeah getting rid of Tebow will solve all our problems! It will restore the Mile High Magic, it will make Orton better in the redzone, it will restore our rushing attack, it will make our defense better at stopping the run. Yeah lets just get rid of Tebow and everything will be so much better!

Look, I’m not saying Tebow needs to start, but c’mon in those redzone situations he would’ve definitely put up a better effort at scoring than Orton. Tebow provides dual threat, he can run or pass, Orton can only pass and he can’t even get it in the endzone. I’m just saying Orton between the 20s and Tebow in the Redzone!!
Putting Tebow in will improve our offensive line, our run game will all of a sudden be amazing, our rush defense will be stellar, our team will magically stop committing penalties, and even our special teams will improve and not give up blocked punts

The comentators last night on t.v. even made comment how the noise was even shaking the cameras when the Denver crowd got going. It was fantastic! I find this odd. With McCarthy on the practice squad safety isn’t really our concern depth wise at the moment.
I never agree with carnagebronc … almost never … but one thing I agree with is the booing of the fans in the stands and the chants for Tebow. I do not agree with that … this is supposed to be homefeild advantage and if we are booing thats pretty much gone. Cheer your butts off during the game, then criticize after. I want tebow in but chanting for him will fluster the offense and will not get Tebow in. Tebow going in has to be a coaching decision. So just sit back and relax and cheer … not blindly but during the game, because that is required to maintain homefield love.
Its easy to see that the Oline struggled, we couldn’t run, had penalties, a blocked punt etc … thats obvious … but for those Orton backers using that is nonsense. Forget half of that stuff … just look at Ortons play … his locking in, his forcing the ball, his turnovers, the few time he had time and couldn’t find anyone open … the drive before our scoring drive when all we needed was a FG to turn it into a 1 possesion game, but instead tried to for it on a 3rd and 20 instead of dumping it off for FG range. He had some good plays but it doesn’t matter when this is the guy they sold us on, on being soooooooooooo good and sooooooooooo ahead of everyone.
And stop Blaming Moreno … minus the fumble, McGahee couldn’t find holes either … hell u cannot even blame Moreno for the fumble because apparently the whole Bronco squad wanted to fumble from moreno, to orton, to lloyd, to mcgahee etc … the hole has to be there … stop blaming Moreno … cuz McGahee can run and he couldnt find squat. Moreno in the receiving game was one of the few highlights because he actually had room to work.
I was one of the people wondering why Decker was on PR … he doesn’t have prior experience and is not as fast as Eddie or Vaughn … I was wrong … and I admitted it during the game (me and Bronco Aussie) … it was quite the electrigying play.
And the defense grew leaps and bounds in my book … if this was last year … between the short field on blocked punts and turnvoers, being on the field pretty much like 80 percent of the game because of an inactive offense … they played well … still can’t stop the run but they played BETTER … its progress for a team with 2 rookie starters, and without DJ williams. Doom left for a while too … but its obvious like many said, DT is still a problem … but I don’t think its just that … I feel like all our plays are designed to get at the passer … pass blitzes instead of run blitzes … and that will not work if they come out and run and screen 24/7 … It will not.
Anyway, I want Tebow in there … and I can wait and cheer until the staff comes to their senses and see that … if we are gonna lose, might as well get the kid his much needed experience. Before possible splurging another first round pick on a QB without ever giving the kid a chance because Luck is not the only good one coming out next year … Hell … wanna silence the fans? TEBOW PACKAGES … go a long way and u still have Orton as your starter … just do something. The play calling was as whack as last year … and just as predictable, to which i blame mccoy … we need a REAL offensive coordinator … but just week 1 … 15 more games so might as well sit back relax and just take off your shoes and wait for change. Maybe it was the 1 (or 7) too many beers last night, but I felt sick hearing our home crowd booing our team, and chanting for Tebow. I told someone last night to cheer for the team and not 1 player, and he replied “Well, isn’t Tebow on the team?”. Well then the chants should have been for Irving as well to help jam the run and someone (Anyone) to help protect the pocket and create some run gaps. So many people are talking about how Orton just wasn’t trying, he gave up and he deflated the rest of the team; didn’t happen. The Home crowd booing the home team deflated the team, and who in their right mind would want to play for an audience that seems to be hoping that you fail? THis morning I am ashamed to be a part of a fan base that showed on national television that they wanted their team to lose, just to get the player that they like.
Time to re-evalutate that waiver wire for some OL and Run stop help me thinks.

A lot of scouts love J Russell & Cryin Leaf… Tebow can play. HE PROVED IT LAST YEAR.. Do any of you Orton supporters remember that? Tebow’s first game against Oakland was in a rain filled mudbowl. Did anyone give Tebow a pass for playing in a mudbowl on the road in his 1st NFL start? NO.. Everyone complained about his accuracy, but the same people use it as an excuse for Orton. Another person says, Orton needs a run game. HELLO, Tebow makes the run game better. The defense is forced to always focus on Tebow’s running ability, and it opens things up.. THIS IS A REBUILDING YEAR. WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT TEBOW IS MADE OF. There is no time to waste. Starting a chump like Orton is completely insane. The dude is in the last year of his contract, why is he playing? What good is it doing the team? Can anyone think outside the box? Does anyone remember the last 2 years? It’s like the guy who is whipped on the girl that keeps cheating on him. She tells him she has changed, he takes her back and she does it again. LEARN FROM THE PAST.. Orton stinks, Tebow led the team to a 17 point comeback in his second NFL start with McCoy calling plays to boot. I will not walk off a cliff just because the boss tells me to.
