I got all the snow blown and the rest shoveled in time for the game. Maybe we’d have been better playing here this week. A snow bowl would have been great for the ski country. I don’t know about you all but I’m in shoveling shape.
Tough going in Washington. I enjoyed the running game and was impressed that we were getting that back on track and the blah blah blah about going vertical was taken care of early…simple. It’s easy to run a go route when you set it up with the run when you have guys like Royal and Marshall around.
The defense was dominated at the line of scrimmage and injuries are mounting. We talked about it earlier in the year and may be looking it right in the face now. Simms was rusty as we should expect and he’ll get a lot of work this week in preparation for the Bolts. I still like him but he took a lot of criticism after the game on the radio.
Boy, the stats we’re ugly in every category, almost not worth mentioning at this point. Tough day in the trenches. I said don’t panic last week but I’m a little concerned now myself in that the defense is taking it on the chin and I’m not sure what the fix is.
The fake field goal hurt when they showed it early and you have to rack that up to inexperience and a great roll out buying time by the kicker.
Hochstein played great at left guard. I was impressed and the Redskins put Haynesworth over Clady? You go figure that one out.
Folks were killing the team on the radio shows after the game. I had some errands to run and WOW, was I surprised how fast folks go for the throat. Concerned is one thing…still fixable….but jumping all over the guys is another.
After a game like that, it’s get over it quick…regroup…learn from mistakes and get back on the horse and let’s go get the Bolts.
New week, New gameplan and go. Great questions last week and I’ll always try to answer specifically or globally.
Go Broncos!! Big game this week to stay in the hunt.

Everyone needs to read thundersrevenge post, makes a lot of sence. We lost to 2 very good teams and lost the 3rd by a fluke play and a back up QB that has had a rough couple of years. First real game time i think he has seen after loosing his spleen. The guy played that game like a man and was on his way to being a good young QB. That being said, he played Sunday like a 3rd grader. (bad)
Only seen the highlight on ESPN. We did throw down field, and seems to have opened things up. The D in washington is not that bad and we put up 17 points in the 1st half. Long scores in the first half, That means the D was on the field a lot in the first half, hum. They were on the field the whole 2nd half. Three games in a row they have lost the TOP by a lot. D is getting beat up, banged up and tired. I think they would have been fine if Kyle had played the 2nd half. Again thundersrevenge post make sence.
This is a new coach, new system, new player, new everything year. If we beat the Chargers Sunday, I bet a lot of people put those wheels back on their band wagons. Just remember that the 1st half did not seem to bad sunday, 17 to 7 if not for the punt/field goal/touch down pass. Rough schedule ahead, our schedule is just plain brutal.
Keep the faith
GO BRONCOS
P.S. 5 picks, haaaaaa, I love it !!!
radeo:
Did you clone your last post? I’m just gonna tell you the same thing I did last time. I still think we are in a very successful rebuilding campaign. Shanny was in this predicament for 3 years in a row not just last year. Good coaching has kept us from being like the new look Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1-8. We have 30+ new players. You have no clue how difficult it is to rebuild a team. To build a winner. You are lost in the sauce dude. I hope you’re not here in 3 years to look back on anything that has to do with the Broncos period. It’s your kind of negativity that festers like a blister. The fair weather fan blister. Pop it I say!!! Then you have the audacity to end your post with a feeble ‘Go Denver’ If you’re not with us you’re against us.
Coop you are right we need to change this guy’s name.
GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!! The Orange Crush Lives!!
Here is what the Denver Post will have as their headline on Monday morning. Broncos really shake things up to retake first place!
Broncos pulled out all the stops in their 76-2 thumping of the San Diego Chargers on sunday, with the biggest point deficit in the history of the NFL. The Broncos opened the game on Offense on their own 20 yard line in the Wild Horse with Orton lined up in the slot, and fan favorite Peyton Hillis in shotgun. Hillis takes the snap and instead of running throws to a wide open Orton for a 40 yard gain. On the next play, Ryan Mc Bean trots out fresh off his injury and lines up at fullback in front of Knowshon Moreno. But instead of lead blocking, Mcbean carries the rock with Merriman and Phillips on his back for a 20 yard gain. Obviously at this point in time McDaniels sees something and replaces his Oline with his Dline as Elvis Doomerville checks in as an eligible reciever. The dline now in as the Oline form a perfect pocket for Hillis to throw in as they are very accostomed to going backwards. Hillis finds Doomerville in the corner of the endzone for a fingertip grab and a touchdown. Asked after the game, Hillis responded, “I didn’t see anyone open and I was just going to throw it in the stands but doom jumped up and snagged it with his long arms.” Prater and Berger both missed the game with unspecified injuries (upper extremities) but no worry. Brandon Marshall came in and filled the job nicely finishing with 10 pats and two long field goals one of 63 yards breaking Jason Elam’s record and then shattering his own record with a 72 yarder as time expired in the first half. Asked after the game Marshall responded, ” I always knew I could do it if given the chance, I guess coach saw something in the films that he gave me this opportunity”.
Everything just seemed to snowball from there on out. Phillip Rivers couldn’t find anyone open 2 for 14 passing for negative 30 yards as Ryan clady was all over him for 10 sacks on the day pulling into second place with Doomerville. The running game was even worse with Ladanian Tomlinson accounting for an even negative 100 yards on 16 carries. When prompted after the game a dejected Tomlinson said “I knew we were in trouble when they replaced their Dline with their Oline there were just no holes to be found.” The deflated crowd, 50% charger fans, left Invesco field at Mile High in disbelief. Most of the corporate Bronco fans left after the first quarter when the game was well in hand 30-0. At the end of the game the chargers punter kicked it out on the 1 yard line where Chris Simms came in to kneel down but his foot was stepped on by Vonnie Holliday sending Simms down in the endzone for a safety and the Chargers only points in the game.
No need for predictions this week Gooooooooooooo Broncos!!!!!
