Tied on Top of the AFC West

November 20th, 2007 - 11:41am by mark_cooper

Broncos 34, Titans 20, and it was a lot of fun to watch. What do you think?

You have to take your hats off to a team that has as many injuries as they have. Guys being moved around and a few out the door and a few new faces coming into the locker room 10 games into the season.

Glenn Martinez had a nice punt return; Brandon Marshall seems to be taking command as the No. 1 receiver and a team leader. The “O”-line is working together and over the last two weeks looks pretty good.

Andre Hall, Selvin Young, Tony Scheffler and Brandon Stokley looked good and Jay Cutler looks better and better the more he plays. You have to be excited about our prospects with this guy. I am!!

Like someone mentioned in the paper, this team has maybe one or two players from a game it played a three or four years ago.

The defense is bending more than breaking and that’s a positive as they’ve made the adjustments and put the right guys in the right spots.

Like we discussed earlier in the year, ”PATIENCE” will be the name of the game and there’s still a lot of football to be played.

I had fun watching the Monday night game.  I hope you did too.

Cooper, man that was a fun game to watch. A lot of big plays. There seems to be some life in the defense also.

Cutler is definitely coming into his own along with Marshall. BUT above all that, these guys are having fun again. That’s good to see.

Lets carry it over to Chicago now. They’re looking to get a win and test our recent success.

Our 5-5 record is all the more impressive when one considers that our injury count has obviously been excessive. Nevertheless, we’re right back in the thick of things. I’m with you, Cooper, Jay is the man! We need to come out and smack the Bears around, following this same formula: take the lead early and gash the opposition in the fourth quarter. I wonder what would happen to the Pats if anything tragic struck Brady.

yea that was pretty good sight, you made a good point about the defense not breaking, they are making strides of understanding this defense bates has, and like you said its all about patience. even thought they had big stops i still see a lot of room for improvent.. the tackling could have been better, we need more swarming to the ball and wraping up. the d-line is getting blocks off a lot better.

I love to see the boys take control early! Touchdown pass, punt return for a TD!!!!! THATS WHAT I’M TALKIN’ ABOUT!!!!!

    Hey coop,
A few weeks ago I posted asking you about teams “letting up” on a big lead and you explained that it wasn’t letting-up it was a switch to a prevent defense. I guess I still don’t get it. Why would you change a scheme that works mid-game to one that almost always gives up points?

It’s kinda painfull seeing the other team come back when you start off dictating the game to them. I know the patriots have taken a lot of flak this year over the poundings they have dished out and running up the score, but I thought that exerting dominance is what a well banced, powerful team should be doing. After all, aren’t all teams trying to be the best?

If you could shed some more light on this I would appreciate it.

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!
