Saw it all today! Good defense at times, sacks by Von Miller, great catches by Decker and Lloyd and others. Another 100+ yard rushing day by McGahee and some good offensive line play.
The bad, playing the former Super Bowl Champs and their offensive firepower/flamethrowing QB without Champ and all our young defensive backs except Dawk.
The Ugly, was turnover and penalties.
Can’t compete at this level with Turnovers and Penalties…but again I saw a lot of good. I like the nucleus and with some more experience and depth and drafts I ABSOLUTELY think we are on the right track. It’s winning one battle at a time, not so much the game with a new coaching staff, new team, and all the young players we have.
I’m optimistic…are you??
GO BRONCOS!!

CarnageBronc,
I’ll keep it simple. With all do respect to your post, Orton is NOT the answer in Denver. There is a complete body of work that needs to be looked at and this is coming from a guy that was a very big Orton supporter. I still think Kyle is an amazing back up QB in this league. However, He will NOT lead a team! Period! It’s that simple!
I’m not even throwing him under the bus for his performance yesterday! I’m talking about the overall body of work! It’s not good enough…not by any measure!
I re-watched the TN game yesterday….Take a look at his 7 step drop in the first qtr. That guy looked like a 8 years old stumbling STRAIGHT back! Not your fluid side profile feet sliding drop back you commonly see!
It’s just not good enough anymore! Not when I got an approx. 22 million QB that has never seen the field.
Also, for the sake of arguement, I’m judging this on a whole portfolio of work, so let’s not get crazy when Tim touched the ball once!
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
seweatherman, I would in no way say that I “love” Orton…I just think the overbashing of Orton is too much. 35-17 man is driving us down the field, Fells fumbles, DEFENSE gives up another TD…at 42-17 game is done…what can he do?
So you watched the WHOLE game and the best you came up with was he had a bad 7 step drop….whoa. Didn’t say he was the “answer” but I do not think Tebow is either…and if the DEFENSE and surrounding players don’t play better, it doesn’t matter who is back there.
The only QB with a contract for next year is Tebow.
The funny part for me personally seasons like these are easy for me to take, my heart is broken after the first month of play so I don’t get all hyped up about things like with the 6-0 start in 2009, the we only need to win one of the last three games to win the division in 2007 only to fall
down hard at the end, this is easy, we just flat out stink, all over the team, just like CarnageBronco says, it’s not one piece or
a few it’s the whole enchilada, a gigantic mess, for now, and it always makes me wonder why CarnageBronc chose us to finish 10-6 when
last year he read right through McD, Orange kool aid his way??? No way, he is the furthest thing from falling for the easy kool aid thing, it perplexes me. As is frankly right now I don’t care, apathy, said all I had to sayabout the team the entire off season and it’s panning out pretty much on cue.
Well, what’s done is done. After all, as they have said “It’s only one game.” On to next week and hope we pull out a win against the 3-1 division leading Chargettes.
Watching our Broncos get owned the way they did yesterday had me seeing red, seriously, watching Rodgers doing his “belt routine” in the end-zone was embarrassing and had me just… pissed the f off. I seriously wanted to punch somebody. I wanted to blame somebody, Orton, Vaughn… anybody. In fact this was a complete TEAM loss if i’ve ever seen one.
Fox needs to get his head out, and look at the game we all were seeing because anybody saying: “I thought our offense was very impressive, other than the turnovers” has to be turning a blind eye towards the field or has to be a man of facile and shallow intellect, to say the LEAST.
Anyway, on a more serious note I want to thank baylinorcrush, stevecan2, and henryac for sending condolences this way regarding my aunt, I really appreciate you guys. I’ve seen henryac posting on this site for a while now and your words were inspiring, it brought tears to my eyes to hear about you wife bro, i’m sorry. Struggles in life like those just make a lost game seem like blowing into a hurricane in comparison.

One game does not describe our entire season, therefore I will remain optimistic like I usually am. The commentators during the game made a good point. While our D was getting run over, they mentioned that we won’t be like this all season & I truly believe that. They will snap out of this embarrassing day and get their act together. We met an opponent that outmatched us on every level yesterday.
However, as lopsided as this game was, we had multiple opportunities to get back in it and every time we came close, we blew it. Trying really hard not to name names cause I’d love to blame it all on a certain someone who I dislike VERY much but this is a TEAM loss like every other time. Mr. Butterfingers had his fair share of mishaps and I nearly broke my TV watching him run like a girl afraid to get hit for a first down & handing off 3 INTs. My heart goes out to Tebow, end of story.
Defense was atrocious, except for Von’s 3 sacks & Moore’s first INT. Defense got manhandled yesterday. Wish Doom had gotten a sack yesterday as well, his time is coming.
Eric Decker – I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! lol Such a stud. You the man 87, you the man.
Brandon Lloyd glad to see him back making some big catches. So VERY glad to see him out there.
To the NFL/Coach Fox/Somebody – can we PLEASE ship Orton to another planet!?!? I don’t want him near another football field… ever… again. I beg of you… or at least stick this thing under his hiney… its called a bench!!
I love this team and they will get their act back together.
With my never-ending faith…
GO BRONCOS 2011!!!!
Bay, I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but can you tell me the criteria for making the wall of shame? I only ask because I was fully expecting to see my name on there after this game.
BroncoRoyaltyEst.1979,
I lost my mother a couple years ago to rectal cancer. I have to tell you the life she had her last few years I wish on no one at all. Prayers go out to you and your family with your situation. Hopefully she will get better.
WOS:
Being on the wrong side of the winning team and having the wrong team win by the largest amount of points.
RabidOrange you had 10-7 Bronco win, therefore a 3 point Bronco win, WOS this week went to a guy who has us winning by 7.
Well baylin…I felt the 10-6 prediction was predicated on them playing better defensively…..it was an interesting that I flew off like that…but what I do see is…a Raider loss by 3, in a game where we turned it over…played sloppy and just didn’t do enough defensively in the end….the loss to the Titans, I felt the same. Offense garnered a lead, defense, eventually gave it up….it’s odd that in the one game, where the offense built a lead and we defended it…no one gave the offense credit, they gave it to the “D”. Therefore, I know we are not in the class of the Pack…but we will be in every game this year unless we decide to “wipe and flush” with Orton and go Tebow. People keep talking about the Houston game…people forget we were down by a lot in that game, and Houston backed off. Additionally they had the WORST pass D i the league last year. Well, I am eating crow on my prediction it seems….but I am ridigin with Fox. The man is drating well and his guys are producing. What hurts me is seeing a Dez BRyant or Orakpo produce when we could have had them instead of Morno or Thomas….
This is a good time for a score predictions rules re-post:
Weekly score prediction contest rules:
1. You must post your score prediction for every Bronco game starting the day AFTER the previous game and ending the day BEFORE the game is played. Anything posted outside of that time frame will not be entered, no exceptions.
2. Each week, congratulations and points will be awarded to the top five closest to the correct score and the worse predictions will have the dubious non honor of being placed on our Wall Of Shame and will be made feel the disgrace, LOL.
3. The points awarded will be as follows:
1st place 7 points
2nd 4 points
3rd 3 points
4th 2 points

WieminCA 17-27 prediction, 6 total points off actual score = 7 points
Baylinorcrush 20-30, also 6 total points off = 7 points also

MANDIEGO 17-34, 13 total points off = 2 points
5th place:

6. WOS entry is awarded to whomever choses the wrong team to win and by the largest point spread.
7. At year end all points will be tabulated and we will get our new scoring guessing Champion of the year, the King of the Kingdom, i.e. the Ruler of Bronco Country, and we will also extend congratulations to bloggers finishing in the top 12 places, and brace yourselves Wall of Shame people, you will be made majorly fun of, you can count on that too, haha.
8. Remember, it’s all for fun and pride, no prizes, no affiliation with the organization, just a figment of my imagination, feel free to enter one week or all 16 and have some major fun doing so, many bloggers do, watch out for that Wall of Shame though, it can be a beatch, and by entering you agree to release me from any abuse I might throw your way, LOL.
Thank you. Very much appreciated, my condolences as well weatherman.

Oh, ok. I remember my prediction, but I thought that WOS was a total points off thing. Whew! Thanks, bay.
However I really did want to put all 24 bloggers who picked us to win on the WOS, that’s for sure, but rules are rules, even I abide by them, LOL.
I am not as upset this week as last week at the loss. This was expected this week. I wasn’t expecting quite the beatdown, but loss nonetheless.
My only rubs this week were:
1. Not trying to do something at the end of the first half when we had the ball around the 30 yd line, I believe and 3 timeouts. we take a knee? and this after we’ve had success going deep?
2. Still seeing Orton short arm passes and lock on one receiver. Looked an awful lot like Orton and Lloyd were trying to pad numbers.
3. Only using Tebow once and then the post game comments by the coach saying there was no more opportunity to use him after that play. And stating something about losing yards and it not being his fault. What about putting Tebow or Quinn in late to get reps when the game was out of reach?
Other than that, I think the team did well given who they were playing and where. The D showed they can fight but need Champ in the line up to help with coverage. The pass rush was great. The run D solid.
The O line had good blocking and pass protection and good job to #23 for another 100 yards.
Go Broncos!!
I have got to give HUGE props to Von Miller, now that is a pick that is paying dividends. Moore did good as well, getting his 1st pick. Its funny that towards the end of the game the Pack puts their second string QB in to get reps knowing the game is over but not us, how stupid is that, wouldn’t you want to make sure that your ‘best shot at winning’ doesn’t get injured when the game is clearly out of reach. LMAO!!!
-Royalty
By the way folks, just checking the NFL.com stats board for this week, and Von Miller is #6 in sacks.
As for rookies in sacks, he is #1.
Not bad. May he continue his rein of mahem on all opposing qb’s!
Ok, I am incredibly angry about this game! However, not for the obvious reason. Yeah, getting blown out like that is embarrassing, but I kind of saw it coming. At one point, I said that the game had the potential to be a record breaking loss. What really ticks me off is the slap in the face. We clamor for Tebow to come in and lead the team. Whether or not the coaching staff want the same thing matters not. What matters is putting him in for one play, ONE PLAY on a pretty much meaningless down, practically telegraphing the run (because what else do we ever do when Tim goes in for one play) against the leagues top run D. Then we watch him get -1 yard and Fox says “well, we tried that and it didn’t work.”
Well, guess what, coach? By that logic you’ve had 4 games and lost three. We tried you out, just didn’t work. Time to try something else.
Now, I’m not calling for Fox’s head. Not yet. But don’t think that you’re gonna appease anyone by putting Tebow on the field with the express purpose of having him fail. It is an insult to the fans and to the players. They should be happy to know that you have a bus standing by under which to toss them when the opportunity arises.
Lastly, the comment, “our starting quarterback needs experience!” Is what REALLY set me off last night. Wasn’t Orton the one who was chosen to start based on his experience in the system? I smell lies! Orton has has 7 years. News flash: He’s not getting better.
And Orton, sir, you were asked about the pick six. You basically said you tried to squeeze it in by Woodson. WOODSON? Have you lost your mind?!?!?!
Rahim Moore’s comment hit the nail on the head, as far as the game goes. “We lost. We just lost. That’s what got away.”
Maybe Fox was hoping Orton would get hurt so he’d have to replace him and that was his plan all along in keeping him in the game, BroncoRoyalty
Well, it was a record setting win, LOL, over 400 yds passing with 4TDs and 2 running TDs for Rodgers, doesn’t that make it bad enough, LMAO..
Yeah lol such a strategist that Fox, I should’ve known that he was trying to do that all along haha.
-Royalty
Bay, I’d like to argue my point that I was the closest out of anyone on the prediction contest.
3 INT + 1 Fumble + the onside kick emparassment + 50 yard pass given up = Broncos 6 mistakes (yes, I know there were more.)
Packers = 7 TDs
Clearly, at 10 – 7, I was only 4 off with my prediction. lol
Yes it does bay, not to mention when they had the game won just hat to rub it in with one last td. That is what sucks a big one to me. Something else folks…Fox is NOT, and I will repeat this…NOT going to give Tebow, or Quinn for that matter, any sufficient playing time. Not now, not ever. He is standing by Orton as the one having the best chance to win.
Now, the big question he needs to answer is…When is this supposed to take place?
That’s funny….hilarious in fact that a girl said Orton runs like a girl.
I can’t believe some of what I’m reading here. Orton is a choke and interception factory, Quinn is a choke and interception factory, and we don’t yet know about Tebow. Enough of the QB talk for now.
Our D has a couple of key injuries, but D plays off of the Offense. If O isn’t getting it done, D collapses.
I say let Orton finish this season so at least the stink of it won’t be on Quinn or Tebow.
TESTING
This thing is messing up.
Rabid, or 55 points off, LMAO!
Yeah, a girl outta know what running like a girl looks like, haha.
I was surprised that he could move that fast, but I wouldn’t exactly call that running. Even my wife commented on the “run” from Orton.
Her exact words, “What the heck was that? That’s the best he can move. That’s not running. Our 1 year old daughter moves faster.”
I know everyone wants quick and fast results but did you guys remember what Mcd done to us? Trading away most of our key players. I say we need two or three successful drafts and we should be back to where we were, winning. All I can say is good things comes to those who waits.
Go Broncos!!!
CarnagBronc, LOL!
To answer your question, yes I did watch the whole game and No that wasn’t the only thing I took away negative! LOL! So with that said……….
“The gentleman from Illinois would like to acknowledge armidilo_orton.”
LOL!
GO GET EM’ BOYS!
There is one thing for sure. The excuse of loosing by only 3 points can’t fly with this one.
We lost two games by only 3 points,
or we lost three games by 32 points, yeah it doesn’t sound as good, LOL.
Mike Rice will have to come up with something else….
by only three points each.
If you take away all the bad things, we played GREAT, and would have won. Yep, minus the turnovers, huge gains given up, the onside kick, and all of GB’s TDs, we had that game in the bag!!
I think it might of been you Rabid, I glanced at the live game blog for a while and there was this blogger who kept saying “we got that one”, hahahaha, I thought that was hilarious!
No, it was broncsbomber66 who kept saying “we got this”, classic hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, that is funny. But it wasn’t me. I can’t blog while the game’s on. I might miss something great. Like Turborton’s mad dash.
Thank you CarnageBronc for injecting some intelligence into a ridiculous conversation.
He sounded like Fox looked on the sidelines when he found out we won a referree’s call that Packers were trying to overturn late in the second half, precious moment that was, LOL..
Yeah, other than his 10-6 season record prediction, Carnage is a man of reason, always has been.
I can’t wait to hear Fox Monday comments on the game. Those should be classic.
And thank you, Redna, for ridiculing a conversation to which you are not contributing anything meaningful yourself.
seweatherman: If by classic you mean recycled and old, I’m sure they will be.
“There were things we did right, and things we did wrong.”
“There’s a lot for us to build on.”
“We need to look ahead and start preparing for SD.”
“It wasn’t the decision we made at the time.”
“GB’s a tough team, and they executed well.”
Etc…..
Yeah, any one of us on here could probably write his script easily. Classic answers.
I really don’t care what the coaches or players have to say, I’m more of a show me guy, what can you say after a team scores 7 TDs on you and you never even forced them into a FG??? It’s all been already said on the field, where it matters, the rest is b.s feed.
You guessed it Rabid. Oh and one other thing. We need to get our questions ready for “Elway :ive” tomorrow afternoon. Remember, no questions having to do with Tebow or the QQ will be intertained so no need in submitting them.
Or more specifically, Orange flavored kool aid.
