Wow!! what a week. Final cuts and semi-final roster moves. Been and interesting week. Keep an ear to the news and paper, it might not be over. The Turk seems to be hanging around longer this year and getting guys.
The Foxworth trade talk today and Lowry move surprised me mainly because I’ve been concentrating on the O-line and D-line most of the pre-season. What’s your take?
To answer a few questions 18 games. I’m O.K. with that with less pre-season games and I like the idea of a few more guys on the roster.
Raiders…hmmm, hate em, sorry. Rival or not-so-rivalry anymore. I really miss the trash talking and rivalry atmosphere, late hits and penalties that went with that. Old school, guess??
I’m running out of town tomorrow to dodge Hurricanes in the Keys and fish a charity tournament for Cystic Fibrosis, so I’ll have to get a rundown from you all after the game as I’ll try to catch the game in a bar…I mean restaurant.
) Not many of those in Key West.
And this year I plan to to put Wade Boggs to bed early and keep his name off the Mike & Mike in the Morning show on ESPN, if any of you remember that story from last year…pretty funny.
Hopefully “Hanna” the Hurricane scoots to the east and around the Bahamas (another of my favorite places) and folks are out of harms way.
All I have to say this week is GO BRONCOS, whip the Raiders for a 1-0 start to a season I’m really looking forward to.

The Raiders on MNF to open the season! It doesn’t get any better than that. You know that the intensity is going to be turned way up for this one. Not only do we hate each other but the fact that were playing against that loud mouth Javon Walker and many other ex-Broncos like Gerard Warren and Cornell Green just turns up the heat a little more! Plus the Raiders will be playing hard for the memory of Upshaw but I think that were just more talented than them. Look for Cutler to be sharp and that Denver pass rush to show up and knock around that young QB Russell. Lets get this season started by doin work on them Faiders! U GOTTA LOVE IT! Go BRONCOS!
i plan on watching the game with fellow bronco fans and taunting my brother, which is a raider, the whole night…i wanna see champ put javon on lockdown..i wanna see javon get manhandle and ran off the field complaining to coaches as well as lelie…is it me or does every ex bronco that dosent fit with us go to the raiders for revenge…gerrard warren cooper carilsile ashley lelie javon walker cornell green…just a thought…but im ready n pumped for the game…..GO broncos!!!!!!!
hahahaha!!! All i have to say is I agree with C2 100%
Already been trash talking with the stepson in Ca. who is a big raider fan. I don’t have any pity for those ex-Bronco whiners, Lielie and Walker. They got what they wanted and now it’s time to give them something to really whine about.
Foxy needed to go, he has been complaining a lot the last couple of years, now he got what he wanted. He covered tight in preseason but didn’t make any plays but tackling after the catch. That doesn’t do much good to stop the opponents. If Lowry wasn’t any good he wouldn’t be here, Fisher and Shanny are too good of friends for any funny business there. What’s your take on the DL we picked up from the Raiders Coop? That seems like a wierd one to me. I think this team will get nothing but better as the season goes on, lots of young guys with a lot of get up and go! If we can put pressure on the quarterback consistantly we will win the division baring any bad injuries. I say turn’em loose! The offense will be too good to stop this year, too many weapons and I think special teams will be better, how much better is yet to be determined. Prater is an awesome weapon, Shanny knows a good kicker when he see one. We will hope Kern can keep punting like he has in preseason. If Shanny says we will make the playoffs, you can pretty much bet on it. He neve shoots his mouth off like that!
Tight lines Coop, get ‘em to the boat!
Right back at you, Coop. Of course, the Broncos will beat the Raiders. Good always triumphs over evil ultimately. JaMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden are both talented, but the Raiders’ receivers are nothing special. Champ and Dre’ should shut them down. Meanwhile, Cutler will throw for almost 300 yards while tossing for three scores. I like the Broncos in a 34-13 win. How does that sound?
I am with Coop…i miss the Raider Hater partie4s and honestly i miss the raiders fans that used to talk trash to us all the time…i guess it holds a sentimental value to me. But i want to say one thing to all….i agree we will win probably pretty easy, but lets not forget that the raiders seem to play well against the broncos even when they have a horrible season. Honestly i would rather have a close exciting game that we win, than a blow out….cause then its just not any fun!!! don’t get me wrong. I still want to see the Broncos Shut them out at their place on Monday night like 35 to nothin. that would really grab the Nations attention. But at the same time i don’t want us to put it all out there on the line, cause we all know that San Diego is gonna be watching that game…and unfortunately they are still one of the best teams in the league. I hate to say that, but i think we all know its true. If we get ahead early and we know we are gonna win, then maybe we should stick wth basics on offense and defense so we don’t show all our cards to San Diego. Am i wrong for saying that??? someone let me know your take on it…thats kind of my thoughts about this weeks game.
