Love all the talk around town about the “NEW GUYS.”
I like what I see and those of you that follow this blog know that nothing happens until training camp when the pads get strapped on and they get going…even after the draft, there much to talk, cry, moan about but nothing concrete. I know I sound like a broken record BUT I honestly don’t get to excited or to sad about much…BUT I will tell you a story.
There was once a QB that won the Heisman Trophy in college, stood 6’5″ tall 225 LB’s and was every bit a stud and even looked a little like Tebow…..got ya thinking huh?
Well I knew him as a freshman at the U and was impressed the first game I saw him play. (lost his redshirt)
I later played with him on a team that had what I’d call average coaching and average coaches (record proved it). This big strong QB was called to save the game almost every week and he once threw about 72 passes for close to 400 yards in a defeat…crazy…I was there. (another story behind that night) in the Thunderdome…they called it.
If he had coaching, mentoring, anything, there early in his career he may have had a chance to hold all the records in the league…..any guess’s yet?
So, what’s Coop trying to say?
I’m giving Quinn the benefit of the doubt until he gets here and gets some coaching and some training because this system fits him like a glove. I like his talent, age, size and attitude.
…..so what do you think AND who was the QB I was talking about? Be back Tuesday to check in.
Go Broncos!

Maybe if the Broncos lower their asking price for Marshall the Bears will throw all kinds of money at him or another trade. We can trade Marshall to the Bears in return for Cutler and a 3rd rounder? LMFAO!!!!
I’m with you TRB,something smells fishy,Marshall would’ve taken 9.5 mil a year IMO.There’s something they are not telling us,but no use in trying to figure it out, been trying too long already,we will know when they want us too.
brian the Bears really want the Beast, but they don’t have anything we want.LMAO
I wouldnt be surprised BFE and Brian
Last year the bears werent exactly in the fore front for cutler and bam, they came out of no where…sure they have nothing but they could easily trade something like, 2nd rounder, Jonny Knox (WR/KR) and a 4th for Marshall. Marshall becomes their premiere reciever, Hester goes back to doing what he does Best, KR, while still playing reciever every now and then. And BAM!! they lookign 10 times better lol. Point is, dont count out the bears yet. Heck, they may trade their first rounder for next year lol.
Thanks Big D 44 – I’ll keep checking back for updates on Gerhart.
why dont we just give marshall 10 to 12 million for this year and hopefully he takes it. then next year we trade him to bears for an first round pick and a third or fourth round pick? then we all will be happy.
well…if everything don’t work out with signing him to a long term contract. that’ll probably be good for both sides.
BroncoWild,
For the simpel fact that Marshall is a restricted free agent because of the whole CBA issue. All they are required to pay him is like 2.5 mil for this year. They will more than likely take the cheap smart way. No way they give him 12 mil for one year. Might as well sign him to a big contract. Even I don’t think he is worth 12 mil in one year. Correction i do think so (but base don others salaries in the NFL) thats excessive. If marshall doesnt sign the tender, he makes no money and doesnt get any stats. somethign will give….
This is my opinion based on how i think tenders work, i could be mistaken tho….

TRB,just as we thought.
Somebody is definitely lying.
Attached is a link from espn….. Bill Williamson re: Brandon Marshall- Mike Shanahan.

I will like to thank you BFE and RBF
FOR STICKING IT TO THE HATERS!!!!!
On the 9.5 mil garbage, and on the shanny doesnt want anythign to do with him because shanahan would have cut/released him FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
TAKE THE KLIS AND WOODY!!!
Ok, Im done now.
As always, I pray Marshall stays with us (assuming he wants too since thats all I have heard from his mouth)
GO BRONCOS TWENTY-TEN
No problem man don’t forget you ain’t the only one who loves the BEAST.
OC here is your proof of lying you wanted, now deal with it.LOL
Klis and Woody both are liars.
By the way the Tennessee Volunteers are in the Elite 8…..BOOOOOYAH.
LOL! BFE!!!!!
BRONC ON!!!
It’s all good in the neighborhood.LMFAO
Where all the BEAST haters at now????????????????????????????
Alright Coop we know the answer you might as well give it up brother,by the way love blogging with ya,and ALWAYS a big fan.Broncos 4 life.
I know Tuesday you will give us the answer, too easy brother, next time make it harder.LOL
Mike Shanahan The mastermind- The way I see it,
He is playing a chess game. Leaks an erroneous report saying he was gonna cut Marshall. Drives the value down. Swoops in with the 2nd round pick, maybe a 4th as well (or say a player like Santana Moss) and sticks it to the boy genius that took his job.
Then in a twist of irony, Grossman wins the starting job and two former Bears QBs have on their resume, the opportunity to throw to the Beast. Which makes it even weirder that the current Bears QB was throwing to the Beast 2 years ago. So the Beast is a DeFacto Bear….and as weird as that all is I could envision a plot, where in a scenario even too crazy for the twilight zone, the Bears could be major players in the Beast Bonanza.
All the while, when the Bears and Skins are rolling off wins, McD will be smiling because of all the “potential” he acquired…
DUKE in the elite 8 too….BFE
What if Shanahan tries to get Marshall only to trade him to da-Bears and reunite the BeastBear and the BabyBear…?
lmao @ BeastBear and BabyBear. Dont thinkk he wil send him to chicago.. But it might be the first of many plans to get em both to Washington lmao. If Cutler keeps stinking it up which he will without the Beast, and shanahan gets the beast this year. Then next year after another bad season, Shanahan can offer the bears a first round pick and Jason campbell or something for Cutler, thereby reuniting cutler and Marshall with him in Washington and then next is Doom lmao.
Its mad fun to play the, “name the outlandish outcome” game lol
Jim Kelly?
Oops I should have read on, Hehee.. It was Vinny.
COOP, I’m with ya on giving Quinn His chance and I see a good battle coming for the starting QB position. The cream always rises to the top and Coach McDaniels will start the best player when the time comes. I cant wait to see who really shines in camp this year and I’m really curious about how much Brandstater has developed and matured.
I hope Marshal gets what He wants, He’s gonna get paid wherever He goes and the guy has skills. I don’t feel I need to know every move The Team makes or every move the marshal camp makes certain things are better left behind closed doors ,things like negotiations
I think The Broncos really need to be looking at their O-Line and fill some of the huge gaps and depth issues here.
I also think The Broncos still need a true NT, the trenches are where The Broncos need the most help.
Hey Coop it’s a little off subject but just curious if you watched The Tred Barta Show recently aired on VS. Tred Barta has recently had a spinal stroke and is parallelized from the chest down and is in a wheel chair. Well in this episode Tred Barta is visiting Steamboat Springs and fished The Yampa Riverand the fabled Tail waters of Lake Catamount and caught a 24 inch rainbow. I just thought it was a great show and wanted to pass it on to all Your angling Broncos fans.
TIME OF POSSESSION ! ! !
GO BRONCOS ! ! !
Monodono….I just spent Saturday afternoon at Bass Pro Shops gearing up for this spring trout fishing. Can’t wait to catch a 24 incher myself. Heading up towards Aspen and the Frying Pan river in May. Should be a treat.
Coop!!! Has to be Vinnie T. You said he weighed 225 but 8 of it was hair. Brady Quinn working in the same scheme he did at ND ….provocative. Should be good. It’s KO’s job to lose though. Should be good competition there. I like some of the aquisitions so far but I agree with Monodono….we need help in the trenches. G and C on Offense and a stout 0 technique guy on D. Ron Fields wore down as the year went on and I’m not sure if J. Bannan is the guy there. I think J Green will be helpful at the 5 technique.
GO BRONCOS!!!! South Stands Forever!!! The Orange Crush Lives!!
Brandon Marshall is gone, traded to the Miami Dolphins for two 2nd Round Draft Picks.
Hey raidrhadr, Have a good time fshin this spring. I just had an incredable day on the Yampa River right downtown, I caught two 16 inch Browns, I caught one that was 20+ inches but he got off right at the bank And I caught a 30+ inch Northern that also auto released at the bank. What a great day.
I’m also headed on an epic 5 week fishin trip, in the morning I’m headed to The Gunnison, & Blue Mesa res. then I’m gonna make my way to Canada and back. I’ll keep ya posted.
COOP, The Draft is in a couple of days whatchya thinkin?
