One game at a time, win the Division. Then anything can happen, right?
That’s the goal in training camp. WIN the Division, How? One game at a time and I don’t care HOW you do it…just win the division.
Sorry, but all the negativity after winning the division, give me a break. GO BRONCOS!
If our defense can have a big day and special teams keep after it and we have a turnover or two, we have as good a chance to win as anyone.
Guys/gals it’s tough to win any division in the NFL so cherish the upcoming game and it’s a whole new season. The tempo picks up the hitting picks up, the FANS yell louder, it’s a festival atmosphere so let’s have some fun this week and get out there and make the Steelers jump offsides a few times because they can’t hear the snap-count.
Put the 12-MAN/WOMAN (you guys) in our stands to our advantage and be the determining factor like OLD MILE HIGH baby!!! Remember the snowball game
), yep whatever it takes.
GO BRONCOS, big week against the Steelers.
Have a good buddy that played there and waiting on his phone call for the bet on the game. I’m thinking Stone Crab claws when we win and if not probably have to send him some Orange Crush soda!!

I agree. It may not have been pretty but the Broncos won the division and are in the playoffs! Let’s enjoy it while we can becuase you never know when it may happen again.
Good point Coop, let’s hope it snows, I actually was there at the stadium at the original snowball game (Raiders I believe), someone throwing it at the feet of their kicker just as he was ready to kick it and he missed and we won the game. That’s about what it will take Sunday.
Actually it was the 49ers:
The snowball
On their last possession of the first half, the 49ers mounted a nine-play drive which ended in a 19-yard field goal attempt. As holder Matt Cavanaugh received the snap from center, a snowball thrown from the stands landed just in front of him. Distracted, he mishandled the football and was unable to hold it for placekicker Ray Wersching. In desperation he picked up the ball and attempted a pass, but there were no receivers downfield and it fell incomplete. No penalties were called and the Broncos took over on downs. They went on to win the game by one point, making the failed field goal a pivotal factor.
The NFL had not yet instituted an instant replay system, so officials did not have an opportunity to review the play.
After the game, referee Jim Tunney explained, “We have no recourse in terms of a foul or to call it on the home team or the fans. There’s nothing in the rule book that allows us to do that.” He ordered an increase in stadium security at halftime, and no further incidents occurred.
Final score, 17-16 Bronco win
Stone crab against orange soda, you get away with that?
I guess considering the odds it’s probably fair, LOL.
The season isn`t over yet?! Play Ball!!
I remember the snowball game against the 49ers(my wife is a 49ers fan) she said, now that’s not right,it’s cheating,I said whatever it takes baby,LMAO!!!!!!!!
You’re right we are 0-0 right now!
I hate the Steelers!!!!
This is THEE #1 Defense in the NFL, a true test for Tim Tebow and the Broncos. Tims backed up against a wall and thats when a flourishes. My guess is that he gets angry, rallys the troups to go to war and plays like he did during our winning streak. Tebow knows whats at stake, you lose you go home.
Hehe… Sounds Like me and Coop might think a little bit alike…
B-R-O-N-C-O-S BRONCOS BRONCOS BRONCOS!!!
Playoff Week!!! Make some Noise!!! and Show some LOVE!!!
VON TEBOW FOOTBALL = Postseason!!!

FTS!
Poor Jay Cutler, the 2012 season will see him under the 4th OC in four years.
ROFLMAO!!!!

I agree Coop all this negativity is Crappy, crappy, crappy. I love this blog even when we were 1-4 because people tried hard to be optimistic. I sure don’t see it now. I think it is an awesome thing that the team could go from 1-4 and everyone saying “suck for luck” to going to the playoffs. There are 20 other teams who are sitting at home this coming weekend wishing it was them. I still believe in this team and I still believe in Tebow! GO BRONCOS!
Hi Shaz! Way to fight the good fight!!!
)
One last thing and I won’t bother you all anymore I will just read. I think all the coaches need to stay because this team needs stability. If you look at some of the other teams (Green Bay, Steelers, New England) what do they all have in common? Most of their coaching staff has been in tact for a long time. Familiarity breeds success. Same with the players (most of them) if you have a good or great player hold on to them and they will help any new ones coming in. I agree with something someone else mentioned we should have kept Gaffney he was a good receiver. Anyways, I am not going anywhere but all this negativity is not a good thing for me I have enough stress in my life and I don’t think it will help our team either.
That was an interesting read.
Shaz, don`t let some of these bloggers bring you down just because you still believe in Tim Tebow. STICK TO YOUR GUNS! Many here appriciate you. I`m still a Tebow Believer for our future. Tim needs a whole offseason to develope but many here say they have the answers. We`re still fans through and through. Don`t let hard words sway ya from what you enjoy is what I`m saying. HANG IN THERE!
Some of us have to remember, we were doomed with Kyle Orton. It`s because of Tim Tebow that we are in the playoffs. But some have forgotten and live in the very moment of what just happened just recently. Thats no way to live. Up and down, up and down, up and down, where`s the stabilty through the good along with the bad. All of life is a struggle, gotta press through.
The sports call-in shows in San Diego are going nuts today – the owner retained Coach Norv Turner and GM AJ Smith … “everyone” wanted them gone … it was like 50 – 1 against the decision while I was listening … many said no-way would they renew season tickets … as Bronco fans, we should have it so rough … just remember – their kicker makes that FB, or Irving doesn’t strip the ball at Miami, or Rivers doesn’t drop the snap agains KC, and they’re in the playoffs and we’re not … what a funny season – one or two plays would have changed everything … but that’s usually how it has gone AGAINST us in the past, not we get our turn … so we should enjoy Sunday against the Steelers … we do get a break w/ injuries, although Kuper being out hurts … I thought our reserves filled in admirably against KC – what do others think?? ….
Although I’ll be in Denver this Sunday, I’ll be at my Son’s house watching on TV … I’ll be pulling hard, just like everyone else on here … BUT – I don’t hold out hope … I don’t think our offense can score a TD against the Steelers … therefore – my prediction ………….
Steelers 27
Broncos 6
Bay – I don’t remember how you score our predictions – I think you add (-) points for how far off we are on each team’s score … I’d like to suggest for next year, you add (-) points for how far off we are on the spread, also … so – if the final score is 24 – 17, and I predicted 20 – 13, I’d get a total of -8 points now (-4-4), but I’d have the spread exactly right … if someone predicted 24 – 10, they’d have -7 (0-7), which would beat me, but they’re off by 7 points on the spread … my way (-4-4-0) = -8 vs. (0-7-7) = -14 … does that make sense????? consider it …
I`m not giving up yet!
I still believe that Tebow can be the man in Denver. A full offseason, some coaching from #7, a number 1 threat wide receiver (the others are good but no #1 amongst them), and a new OC or get McCoy to learn how to mix up the play calling and we’ll be good.
We still have a game to play. Theres still a chance to win. The Steelers are in bad shape injury wise.
I still believe Tim will be our QB in 2012. He needs a full offseason is what I`m saying. Give Tebow one more season to develope. Rome wasn`t built in a day.
I would agree that at times the blog is probably overloaded with comments aimed at our deficiencies often overlooking some of the good, like being in the playoffs. But on the other hand, bloggers who come on here and all they say is Go Broncos, we’re the greatest, Tebow is King Tut and I guarantee this and that, win against N-E, the Bills, the Chiefs, win in the playoffs all the way to the SB, etc… that also gets a little old. So a balance is attempted to being struck between the two camps to have at least a bit of a chance to produce some constructive material to digest with both side of the story being told. Otherwise it’s just pure cheerleading or pure negativity and either way that would bother the heck out of me. You could count me out on the spot. The team deserves praise and it deserves wake up calls and hopefully a lot of what is said here accomplishes both. Football is a brutal sport where brutal decisions are made about its business all year long. So if the fans are sometimes brutal it’s only natural, and for the ones who don’t have the heart to absorb that brutality, it will be a long ride. Football is tough and I think if everyone toughed it out a little more they would be better off for it. However I realize it’s way too brutal too many here, they just think that the sport is all glamour and clean fun and instant heros, well it’s not, it’s down and dirty and that’s why I’m a trench man, I’m ready to tough it out for the better. Bottom line none of the arguments on this blog bother me either way as long as they are respectful of eachother. Other than that rock on, that’s what this sport is all about, sissy stuff won’t get anyone far with this sort of sport and blog. If the heat gets to anyone they probably need to get out of the kitchen.
And this website has just the right blog for the folks who can’t take it, the orange colored glasses blog or something like that, a blog reserved strictly for positive Bronco comments and strongly moderated, you’ll find it on the Bronco fan page or something.
Thanks Strand, I guess I just get too emotional but that is who I am. Maybe I will not only learn the X’s and O’s of football but I will learn to be tough. I don’t try to pass my self off as anyone but who I am and sometimes I am a real sap who is too optimistic, too emotional and too trusting but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have seen the other side and I don’t want to go there.
If Tebow is gone, which I severely doubt it, then I`d want Luck or RG3. No QB`s in the draft after them will even come close to what Tebow can do. We can`t get rid of Timmy after this season, we have no QB`s to speak of. Tims the only QB on the 2012 roster thus far.
Great story..He wasn’t overly critical or blind to the facts..just the honest truth..why don’t we have a back that can stretch the field? please dont say JJ can stretch the field cause he hasn’t..we shoulda picked up Noel Devine or Jordan Toddman
Couldnt agree more Coop, anythime a team wins their division its an accomplishment. Let’s get loud at the game this week and pull out all the stops, whatever it takes. Onsides kicks, Quinn to Tebow passes, reverses , you name it. Lets have some fun also!!
P S : Lets not forget NOBODY and I mean NOBODY thought Seattle would beat New Orleans last year and it happened!! #BELIEVE
I understand, and as you know, just like Tim Tebow, I am an encourage, thats how God made me. I get down also at times, Hey we`re all human. LOL
Gotcha Bay.
I am a very emotional person and I`m a grown man. Not ashamed to say it either. LOL
I forgot to thank Dean Spanos for not firing Norv or AJ. That made my week already. Cant believe they didnt get canned. Even with our first place schedule next year we still got a chance thanks to him keeping crater face and fatso.
crater face and fatso..lmao
The Chargers will only shrink all the more in 2012. There only getting older is all.
Scary game ahead of us thats for sure. I remember the last time we played them in the playoffs, I remember all the talk about bootlegging the crap out of them. Didnt happen. Steelers defensive gameplanning is top notch, Lebeau is brilliant. I say we get spanked…
Hurts to predict the following
BRONCOS 9
steelers 23
I really hope im wrong. And I really want to get some points for pr
for prediction contest
Dick Lebeau is pure genius, but 1 thing about what they love to do (get you in passing situations) then zone blitz is you can get some big plays against it. Plus we dont always pass on 3rd and 7 or 8 or 9 Were unpredicable in that situation. I like the matchup better than say Baltimore.
Wasn’t that great offensive football yesterday?? … Wisconsin, Oregon, Stanford, Oka State – wow … great games to watch … I found myself wondering how any of the four QBs would do as a Bronco … they seemed to always know where to go with the ball …
And – in case you hadn’t noticed – SPEED “KILLS” … however – I wonder how long the Oregon RBs will last in the NFL …
WieminCA good suggestion, I have already a couple tweaks for it next year, like I do every year, and I could add this simple rule: In the case of a tie and only in the case of a tie, if a guy guessed the correct spread he will be placed ahead of the ones who did not. That would work, keeping it simple enough for me and rewarding the correct spread.
Gotta have balance. Teams don`t even make it to the SB every year. Very hard to do. I`m just a Bronco fan who says what I enjoys about our team. The Brutal part on what Bay is talking about is for the coaching staff and their decision. We should be so Brutally honost to where we chase people out here just because they are emotional. Thats very wrong, no mercy it sounds like. Bay I disagree with some of those comments made in that last post. Rather harsh and pathetic if you ask me.
Hard to say how the game will turn out. Quite frankly, I am drained from this season. Tebow or not Tebow? Who cares anymore. I like Tebow, but that makes me a Tebow disciple and apparently anyone who believes in him must have a learning disability. But if I didn’t like Tebow, I would be labeled as nothing more than a a-hole that hated everything that had anything to do with optimism. There is no in between when it comes to people voicing their opinions about the points of others. It is not a blog with worthy discussion, it is about as juvenile as a message board on NFL.com or YouTube with how people go at each other personally as opposed to what is happening on the field. The only difference is the moderation.
But who cares anymore? The vibe I have been reading is all a bunch of crap. Our TEAM is bad, not just Tebow. We have crap receivers, injury proned or inexperienced running backs, we have below average TE’s, we are barely average at DT, our LBs need work, our secondary is awful, we have a super young Oline, and we have a FB that could barely make a squad anywhere else.
Tebow won! Tebow lost! Tebow is God! Tebow sucks!
Our team sucks. Our team backed into the playoffs. Our team was on a hot streak. Our team is on a losing streak.
We are not elite anywhere outside of Prater, Colquitt, Doom, and Miller. Even Champ lost a step, and he can’t make up for the whole secondary.
Sure we have bright spots, but our team is below average. The other teams in our division picked the right time to be worse than we are.
Tebow, Tebow, Tebow. I like the kid. I wanted him to start. I have supported and defended him. But I have recognized that it has been about the team. And it is far from just our QB. And this includes Orton. We were 1-4 for a lot of reasons other than just Orton. Our team is bad.
The fact that we are in the playoffs is all luck and nothing but luck. Tebow will be gone. We will have a new QB. And we will still be average at best. Argue the QB all you want, the Broncos suck and have sucked for a while.
When is the last time the Broncos have looked like they can really compete? And I mean really really compete? Consistently? It has been a while. And a new freaking QB isn’t going to change that.
Our coach is below average too. Another weak link I didn’t mention.
Hows that for realism and telling it like it is?
Glad I could vent. I feel much better haha.
SCORE PREDICTION:
PIT – 28
DEN – 3
And I realize this current blog has been very good, but I read the last one, and I lost it. So to everyone currently chatting, this applies to the last blog. So if you are in a good mood, please ignore lol.
I want to win just as bad as the next fan, but there`s no reason for me to know and have all the answers and everyone else is wrong. Where`s the excitement. I ya, I forgot, some of us didn`t get what we wanted, just like a kid at the grociery store who didn`t get his candy that he or she damanded.
Ah damn, Bay covered my thoughts already above. WHOOPS!
Flippen discusting!
I heard something today that was easily the stupidest thing I have ever heard since I have been watching football. On Sirius XM a sportscaster said that because Flynn performed so well it will hurt Rodgers’ bid for MVP. That if his backup can peforme that well then maybe Rodgers isn’t as good as everyone thought. COME ON!!!!!! Yes, they have the best receivers and a great scheme but geez how much more does he need to do? He was snubbed last year for the pro bowl and now this. Any thoughts?
Rodgers is the best QB in football. Period. The fact that Flynn played well says more about Flynn and the ability that the GB coaching staff has when it comes to grooming QBs. Rodgers made unbelievable throws all season long, and should be the MVP hands down.
