Four turnovers and dropped passes in this league is a prescription for a tough, long day. Last week we had breakdowns on special teams during the game and the defense broke down at the end of the game. This week we couldn’t hold onto the ball and turned it over. What’s all this add up to? A young team.
Yes, as much as we hate to admit it, it’s here. We’ve had a bunch of injuries and a bunch of new faces and we’re playing like a young team. Even Cutler was frustrated. I can feel his pain when you have guys dropping passes all over the field, it gets a little frustrating. He’s going to have take the heat, so he might as well get use to it. If you remember Elway did in ’83-’84, heck the writers were saying we should trade him…remember those days?
You know what I was thinking during the game? It was a little self-serving, but I was thinking maybe the team will be so mad at this defeat that it will revive a rivalry. There was enough trash talking, like the old days, that somebody might get a little upset about it. I guess we’ll see.
The Bolts got another win under their belts and LT looked like he was in mid-season form, so we have no other choice but to show some pride and finish the season with pride and win the remaining games. If we look at it that way as fans we’ll enjoy the remainder of the season a little more. If we can improve each week and get better and better we can look forward to the offseason activity to improve the team.
This season has had a lot of bright spots and I’m still pumped up about our prospects. I’m planning on going to the Minnesota game regardless of our record. I love this stuff. I can’t get enough of it and who knows what can happen over the remainder of the season with injuries on the Bolts??? The Bolts are a different team without a few players too. Not that I’d wish any player an injury. Actually, I’d love to see a season without ONE, but, well you know the chances of that.
Let’s rally behind these guys!!

I wish we could go back and time and have a young you on our line!
This has been a tough season and I think what frustrates the fans so much it’s really the second in a row. Last year we had a pretty tough defense until they were put in the prevent mode, but the offense just had a hard time scoring points or even getting good field position. This defense is only young up front as we have verterans a Linebacker and secondary. The offense moves the ball well and yes, they had a rough week, but as you recall, Elway teams would have rough games every year also. The Broncos will get back to an elite status, but we’ll have to wait until at least next year.
does this mean that the broncos have no chance to get in the playoffs
If we can win all four games. I don’t think SD can beat TN this weekend , and IF we win. We would be one game behind. We have to take it one game at a time.
hey rattilsnkae,
You have to believe!!!
don’t give up faith….
i’ve done some calcualtions taking into account all NFL tiebreakers…
if SD loses to Tenn and Denver….we still need them to lose another because they would own tiebreaker over us….now if SD loses to Den and Oak, then we would win division as long as we run the table….i spent hours looking at all the different tie breaking possibilities…SD could lose to TENN, and then Det and then us..then we would win division….
but more likely is that SD lose to DEN and Oak…then we win division….
Wild card…we need Tenn and Cleveland to lose 2 times….
we need to cheer on the jets this week…..Tenn has a tough schedule with SD, Indy, and at KC…….
i have tons of other scenarios worked out but I don’t want to bore you guys….
i won’t lose faith until we really are out….
Go Broncos
after the Hou game, we will have 11 days to prepare for SD…Shanny should be able to come up with a winning game plan against the idiot of a coach in Norv Turner….
Go Broncos!!
Cooper,
That was brilliantly said… thank you for giving all nay-sayers positive words. I couldn’t agree more with you.
These guys may be real young but they are so full of talent and potential… the least we could do is show them we love them and we support them. This team will get better especially for next year… we should give the Patriots a run for their money next season. I know we can be better, this is not the Broncos team I know – the team I know is a winning team not one that gives up plays and games.
And Cutler has every right in the world to be frustrated with his receivers… they need to pull through for him and catch the passes he throws and hold on to that dang ball!!!!!!! Every QB goes through this tough spot, just like Cooper said, Elway wasn’t perfect when he began, there’s no way Brady was as good as he is now when he first began and the same for Peyton Manning. Cutler is young and so are the majority of his receivers and the majority of this team. But we should be able to bring it all together by next season… we have to, its a must that we change to be better for next year. No excuses!
GO BRONCOS!!!!
2007 to 2011 with Shanahan and Cutler is just mediocrity. Remind me
Griese, the same story, in the end he is going to switch to another team.

San Diego will lose to Tennesse, the ORANGE AND BLUE, and to Oakland; we will win our last four games and claim the AFC West Division title. No worries.
After all, I AM A BRONCOS FAN and do BELIEVE.
I agree 100% with you Loveorangeandblue!!!
Go Broncos!!
Just booked my plane ticket to Denver (from ATL) for the KC game. Got nothing but love and support for my Cuz and the rest of the Broncos family. I also BELIEVE that our loss to Oakland was not in vain — it was a day of resolve. The best is yet to come.
We can win the final games down the stretch — one game at a time…

Coop,
Not a grand performance thats for sure, definitely not worthy of a victory.
Was I the only one who saw McCown cross the line of scrimage on his TD pass to Porter that made it 24 – 7 ???!!!! When it happened my first thought was ..good he crossed the line of scrimage.
Coop it sounds like you have been with the broncos as long as I have, but do you remember the team in the 60′s? it took time to build a functional team. Remember no one man makes a team. and your right others must step up and be heard. We have to make changes in the offence but the defence wins games by keeping the other team out of the end zone. here is a big tash for the coachs and front office to work on.
In Sundays loss, not only did the QB pass the line of scrimige by inches there were to false starts that could have been called on the Raider.
Yes, John E. (7) had a rough time for a few years, why… Dan R didn’t put a team around him. Until M. Shanahan came along was there the team put togather. We have the hourse power, there hurt but they will be back. As for Brandon Marshall I see great things for this young man he is dangerous when the ball is in his hand. It’s like a hot buttom when he catches the ball he become ” the hulk” he has run all over the feal to get on yard or to get a touch down. Now that is HEART. He has an attatude…A good one.
Let’s not stray from our team yes we are dissatisfied but back the O & B. We will prevail.
A new bee here but an oldie for the team… like 47 years.
The Italian Gypsy
I remember the broncos of the 60′s. What division were they in?
I dont think they were even a blip on the playoff map until 1977 let alone posting winning seasons. I’m surprised you even bring that dark past up at all. It took years to build a functional team….even with Elway in there it wasn’t functional for him right out of the gate either. Lots of ghosts to deal with for Elway until he got warmed up. What you folks need is another 5 or 10 years to build a functional team again while we go ahead and keep on winning the division and hopefully a SB or 2.
Who knows what can happen….with injuries on the Bolts? Coop, you just did your team a “jinkser” right there
