Hey folks, a handful of us (old guys) Alumni are going downtown to The Tavern to enjoy the Superbowl. You're all welcome to bring yourselves and the kids. Proceeds of the event with benefit The food bank of the Rockies.

Location:
1949 Market Street Denver, CO 80202

Pats by 7.............!!! because the Giants kept me from wearing a Superbowl Ring, so now you know the rest of that story. :o)

t-bonevr, simply, we need to bolster the D-line and maybe add a linebacker. That will take some heat off the secondary. Pressure on the QB is essential. I like the O-line as it has depth. Left tackle spots critical.

Hey no predictions.............the games are starting in a few. O.K. Packers vs Patriots Superbowl.

Let's see how accurate I am Monday and visit the HOF and team needs more.

The Giants kind of remind me of the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals. They are beat up and tired yet they keep winning in the playoffs. I think that they will beat the Packers. The Patriots will win. Philip Rivers needs to learn how to grow up and quit taunting fans like he did against the Colts. LT said something about how the Patriots had no class when they Pats beat them in the playoffs last year. Philip Rivers had no class in the win over the Colts. I do not like the Chargers at all. I saw a re-run of Super Bowl XXXII and during game they said that the Broncos had the worst rush defense of any team to make it to the Super Bowl. They allowed almost 5 yards a rush. The defense was aggresive with a lot of blitzes and they created turnovers. Hopefully Solowik brings back an aggressive defense.

Mark...interested in your take on what the NEEDS are for the organization?
Stregth(opening and maintaining blocks on offense, controling the line of scrimmage on defense) on both lines seemed to be problems the last couple of years, not just this one. Is this due to youth, or just players??
Should the organization work towards "building the engine"(tough, strong, physical lineman on both fronts)? The "hood ornaments"(skill players) seem to be in place?

Wow! what a weekend. I should have stuck with some of your choices. By the way, some very funny comments made above (bradjamesbroncofan). You know what's funny, I can imagine you typing away with a smerk on your face.

The Cowboys and Colts take it on the chin. My darkhorse Jags are out of the running...........so who do you like this week??

I have to go with the Pats and the "Ole guy" :o) at the Packers. Got to love his swagger.

Not much happening in Bronco land or the home front. I agree with superchop7 on the bump and run and blitzing.

I'm headed down south at the end of the month to a charity golf tournament. Many of you know of Tim Wakefield, Redsox (knuckle-baller). He has a golf tournament that benefits the Space Coast Early Intervention Center that helps kids with learning disabilities move into the mainstream. Very powerful. We visit the center each year and play with the kids and clown around for a while before the fundraiser that evening, with the golf tournament the following day

I met Tim years ago at a charity fishing series that I have been fishing in for over 17 years (Redbone Series) www.redbone.org. Tim was with the Pirates at the time. Tim is an amazing guy, he matches whatever is raised on a weekend event which runs into the six figures.

And you know me, I'll slip a day of flyfishing in on Mosquito Lagoon for redfish the day after the tournament, then head home.
