New faces in the House

$39.52 Million worth of new faces.

Goodman
Dawkins
JJ Arrington
Buchalter
Gaffney
Hill
Reid
Simms
Paxton
Fields
Davis
Jordan

I’ll need to do some research on most of these guys, but I know I can count on you all to help fill me in.

Monodono, I saw the article on Simms but wasn’t sure what you were looking at in it. I’m not a Simms fan because his Dad kept me from a Superbowl ring :o). Just kidding, he’ll make a nice addition to the team. Now Simms’ fishing gear and accessories… some of the best stuff out there along with Scientific Angler and GLoomis rods. Couldn’t resist, sorry. You know how I like to flyfish.

O.K. I’ll stop being self serving……..nah.

I’m really curious what you all know about the $39+M dollar guys we just signed. Curious on your take other than maybe Dawkins, Arrington and Paxton.

Love to hear what your opinions are.

monodono-glad to hear your family is doing good. I’m the 1st to bash Cutler. I’m not a fan. sorry to say. I was a huge Snake Plummer fan. I truly believe that guy is a winner. I like your stats on these FA’s. which one do you think will work out? all of them can’t. I think Webster will beat out Davis. Webster stepped up when Niko (Bust!) came into town. I think Hill+Dawkins (standard) will start, but our 2nd rd choice should be Patrick Chung or Louis Delmas (I”m a huge fan of Colt Anderson, but I think he’ll be a later rd pick). I like ‘em both. Either 1 will beat out Hill by the 8th week. I got Arrington to start @ RB sharing time w/Torrain. Hillis obvious choice @ FB. I don’t think Gafney will play much. Colbert+D-jackson didn’t impress me. Both of them are stop-gap players @ best. We should have picked up David Anderson. Stokely clone. Goodman will start, but I”m a huge fan of Jack Williams. That kid reminds me of D-Will. what you think? keep it real. punches n bunches…..Go Broncos!!!!!!!

Its a bummer that she has to be on a feeding tube but if that’s what it takes for her to get better then so be it. I just hope she’ll be okay after this… like I hope something do with this won’t come later on, but as always I’ve got faith. She’s in God’s hands… no better place to be. Hope that smile stays on her little face, I’m sure she deserves it.

And you may be the first to go after Cutler but you know I’ll be the first to go after you if you do!! We gave Plummer several chances, the same can be done for Cutler. He does need to start proving himself worthy of us keeping him… that’s a no brainer. He’s got to step it up or he will get the boot and he knows it… or at least he better. I know he wants to do better but he’s got to start doing it, not just saying it.

    With faith…
    GO BRONCOS in ‘09!!!!

think it’s a concensus that our 2nd round pick should be a DB. I’d rather go Safety (groom that kid under Dawkins)+pick up either Patrick Chung or Louis Delmas…but…if we go cornerback I’d like to take Byrd (from Oregon) or Vontae Davis (IL..he might go 1st rd) or Alphonso Smith=Wake forrest (he reminds me of D-Will). All in agreement that the soap opera b/n McD+Cutler has been rapped ’bout ’nuff times….It will be interesting to see what happens this coming Monday. Either the soap opera is over or just beginning. let’s talk ’bout the draft…Orakpo or Rajii??? keep it real. punches n bunches..

Who’s happy The Broncos didn’t sign Haynesworth?

Redskins DT Haynesworth indicted on two misdemeanor traffic charges
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been indicted on two misdemeanor traffic charges after being involved in a crash that seriously injured another driver.

District Attorney Kim Helper of Williamson County said Thursday that Haynesworth was indicted Monday on charges of reckless driving and having expired registration.

Haynesworth, a former Tennessee Titan who signed with the Redskins last month, was released on $1,000 bond after surrendering Wednesday. Maximum punishment is six months in jail and a $500 fine on the reckless-driving charge and 30 days in jail and a $50 fine for the other charge.

The charges come from a Dec. 13 incident in which Haynesworth tried to pass another driver, who crashed into a concrete median.

Chad Speck, Haynesworth’s agent, didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment. He previously said that his client pulled over after the accident, called police and did not leave until cleared by an officer.

Haynesworth is scheduled for arraignment March 30 in Williamson Circuit Court in Franklin, just south of Nashville. Helper would not speculate how long the case would be in the courts.

After the accident, on Interstate 65 south of Nashville, Corey Edmonson needed a wheelchair or walker to move, said his attorney, Jon Perry.

“I am not surprised at all by the indictment,” Perry said Thursday. “This accident could have very easily killed Corey.”

Haynesworth, an All-Pro, signed a $100 million, seven-year contract with the Redskins on Feb. 27 just a few hours after the start of free agency.

With the Titans last season, Haynesworth had a career-high 8.5 sacks. He has 24 sacks in seven NFL seasons since the Titans drafted him in the first round out of the University of Tennessee in 2002.

In 2006, Haynesworth was suspended for five games for swiping his cleated foot over Dallas Cowboys center Andre Gurode ’s face. It was the league’s longest suspension for an on-field act.

Last year, in another case, Haynesworth agreed to 30 days’ probation to divert a ticket for driving 103 mph in a 70-mph zone.

    Wwwhheewwww…..

Thanks monodono, you’re the best. Will be nice to actually read something nice and positive about my man… a girl can dream!! ;) Plus he deserves to be put in some good light for once through all this. This is too much drama!!

And I am very glad we never signed Haynesworth… trouble just like Tank. We do not need that kind of press!! We have enough trouble on our hands right now with Brandon “baby T.O.” Marshall. Dude needs to grow up and stay out of trouble or his future is NO more. I for one will not tolerate it, its ridiculous.

Plus it sounds like we don’t want Haynesworth on our streets.

007elway did you read the story or just look at the pics. lol
monodono, yes i am glad about not signing haynsworth. we would be turning into the oakland raiders.
looks like raji stock is going up. we may not get him. but every day i look at what we (McD) have and say that we can play with we have now and it can only get better.
most people will bitch about the singing of the o-lineman but we NEED back-ups and we need them in summer camp

  12. 07elway says:

texark-fan… oh no you didn’t!!! No worries, I can take a joke, I actually got a really good laugh out of what you wrote. Yeah I definitely read the story and it was very good and very true. Jay needs to become a strong leader for us. However, I did spend quite a bit of time looking at that picture. Great picture with a great view!!!!hahaha :D

  14. BossTheHausBailey says:

hey we should get torry holt! the rams cut him yesterday and brandon marshall could be out with a suspension for a while. why not bring in a vet to preach to marshall and the other young receivers? he’s still pretty good too.

Jay Cutler was a no-show at The My Big Greek Roast event Honoring Steve Antonopulos the long time Denver Broncos Head trainer.

The Charity was for Dani’s Foundation which is committed to finding the cause and cure for pediatric sarcomas-rare forms of cancer taking the lives of children and young adults. Cutler was to be a VIP guest and roaster but instead was a No-show. Lame!

A promotional statement on KOA’s ad said quote: Quarterbacks Craig Morton, John Elway, Jake Plummer and Jay Cutler all worship “The Greek”. “He is the best trainer in the business and each and every Bronco for the past three decades is indebted to The Greek”
His No-show doesn’t sound like Cutler worshiped Him to me…

    http://850koa.com/cc-common/news/sections/newsarticle.html?feed=124975&article=5158642

This is Lame, I hope the Charity did alright with out Jay. Where is this Pillar of the Community, and The Leader of This TEAM? I thought He was in town. He should’ve been there!

I wonder if Cutler will let down His TEAMATES and The Fan’s on Monday like He let down Dani’s Foundation and Steve Antonopulos?

    Lama Lame Lame

Secondly, thanks for the statistics. You always come through for the BLOG and I don’t know where you get the stuff but you’re amazing.

Long week for me and worked all weekend with buyers in town looking at real estate BUT, I was at the event and NO Jay was not and I nor anyone really expected him with what’s going on so we’ll see how it all plays out tomorrow.

YES, I did speak at the function and yes I went after everyone/anyone as that is what a Roast is for. I’ll start a new post and do a quick rundown as ESPN did made a comment about my comment.

  22. broncomaniac4life says:

Cutler a no show, huh? hmmm? wonder what that means? he sold his house, right? I think the spit will hit the fan if he’s a no-show @ OTAs. Get him the heck out of dodge while his trade value is still very high. Is it true we’re making a run for Brady Quinn? Anybody is better than this pre-madonna. punches n bunches
