Amen Coopster, amen!! You said it all.

At the end of the day, I don't care who is behind center it's about this TEAM getting the win. In a sense I do care & I'd love to see Tebow out there but I just want this TEAM to do well. That's all that really matters.

And I think we all know we have much bigger fish to fry than our QB situation. That's the least of our problems. Honestly I'm more anxious to see how much different our D is... pray to God its at all better than last year. For me last season's D is like a blur, faded memory.

Tebow or no Tebow, GO BRONCOS!!!

Thanks for the sensible post Coop, not a popular stance on this board. LOL Guess you're used to sticking your neck having been an offensive lineman. I think some of these bloggers are trying to get jobs with the media by some of the kookie statements they make.
I'd ask you how the fishing has been but you know what happened the last time that topic came up. September has been good to me at one of the local reservoirs here, have boated two 9lb or better walleye probably within 50' of the same spot.

I have been AWOL for a couple of days because frankly I get tired of those practices and scrimmages since there is no way an out of Stater can get to really watch any of it, or not enough to make an educated opinion as to what's going on.

But here comes Coop, cool as usual to hear from him, Elway's room mate, need I say more...

Yeah, this "mum should be the word" you are referring to, aka cool it about bad mouthing Orton, I get it. But that's not all I get, I also get folks like TRB who could as easily as I spell out all of Orton's short comings, and there is no way to compare him to your room mate, your room mate at the time had not accomplished much of anything in the NFL, Orton on the other hand is 7 years going and everyone is still waiting to see what the man can really do, is he just an adequate performer when the running game and the D carries him like with the Bears, or is he the freaking out type of QB we have got to know when the pressure is on in Denver?

Those are big questions. And of course the other big question is, is Tebow the NFL QB that his college accomplishments provided us with.

Surely not, not at this point anyway, but comparing him to Aaron Rodgers is a tough one. I personally have been a big Rodgers fan for at least 4 or 5 years, when I thought no way no how can egocentric Favre keep staying in Green Bay and impede Rodgers' chance to come out and shine, honestly all along I thought Rodgers would be better than Favre to lead the Packers (at least the aging Favre who just wouldn't go away).

Point being, even with a starter like Favre, I always thought Rodgers should get his shot much earlier, so I'm wondering what the big difference would be going with Tebow over Orton now, Orton has no alliance to Denver that I know of, it's not like Favre being a Packers' icon, Orton is going to be good as gone to the best long term contract he can find next year, and that being the case we will know nothing about Tebow since we are shelving him for a one year fixer upper and that's not so great, because then we have to draft the QB of the future next year since Tebow will still be at the stage he is now, nowhere ready to be a starting NFL QB as per everyone's current evaluation.

Bottom line is we learn nothing by not giving a shot to Tebow, yeah Orton is the one who gets you to win the most games now, but what's the big deal, playoffs? didn't think so... we just end up a little more confused than we are now about the QB situation which as everybody should know on this blog site I call the QQ, Quarterback Quagmire, one that has started in earnest since McD traded Cutler, but really does go back to when Elway retired.

Either way anyone looks at it, whether you are an Orton, Tebow or more simply a Bronco fan, the best kind, it still doesn't add up to much QB wise, we are still having a gigantic connundrum on our hands whether we like it or not. And don't get me wrong, I perfectly understand why Fox would choose Orton to start, he right now offers the best odds of posting the most wins this season, but what are those really going to accomplish other than making Fox look better, let's get real, not to mention it will probably mean the dead end for one of our other first round picks, Tebow.

And of course the way things are going now it seems as if Tebow is not a plan for the future at all and if that's so then eveything the organization is doing now makes pefect sense, but if that is the case they will let the fans down including I, not to mention Tebow.

Eventually this organization has to get rid of the QQ, period, go with someone up front and stick with it, we are frankly tired of it, and we are not asking for another Elway, which was like over a dozen years ago, but just someone steady enough where we can hang our hats on, is that too much to ask?

BTW, this was just for you Coop, don't really care to rehash all that with the regulars since I have argued ad nauseum about it as is.

Thank God football's back! I agree with Coop about sitting Tebow and letting him develop. Not particularly a Tebow fan but if for some reason he should actually end up as "The Man" I'll cheer louder than anybody. Still don't feel Quinn has been given enough opportunity to show what he's capable of...not trying to imply he's gonna excel if he gets the nod, just curious because it seems like he's being overlooked a little. As for the O-line, only Orlando Franklin hasn't lined up with the rest of these cats...question is can last year's crew be better. Was very disappointed in Clady's performance last year. Hopefully he'll get back to All-Pro form!

All the media does is stir the pot. And when it comes to Tebow, hate him or love him, people tune in to hear, so the force it and even make up stuff. Has anyone noticed that NFL.com can't go a day without a Tebow article or having his face on the site. Because they know he intrigues people and they will click. Its all about selling ... and Tebow sells.

I disagree with you coop. I think that if a QB is gonna be great he will be, no matter if he is put in there early or sat. I believe while Aaron Rodgers learned alot sitting down, he would be just as good if he started immediately. Its a state of mind. Its about wanting it and putting in the work. You can go to school as long as u want but when u come out, they ask for the same thing, experience, because experience is the best teacher in my opinion. But im cool with Orton starting. He isn't bad. I don't hate the guy. He just bores me senseless and angers me when he folds in the clutch not to mention his lack of mobility. But he is decent. He is accurate. And he can manage a game, and rarely loses games. I don't think the supporting cast has reached the point where that will be enough to seriously win but others seem to believe so I am unboard for now but if i had my way, which i never do lol, Tebow would be in there. Who knows, he still might be, haven't even played the first preseason game yet. TRB out...
