    Coop-

Definitely missed a good one. Don’t forget Champ’s 2 interceptions. 50 on his career. What a great accomplishment!

The game itself. Much improved from the Detroit game. Really cut down on the negative yardage plays that put us in poor down and distances. McGahee is a warrior.

Doom and Von were having a race to the quarterback in the 2nd half. Great to see. Definitely looking like a Robert Mathis/Dwight Freeny duo emerging.

feel the same way coop, n we beat them at there own game. We ran for almost 300 yrds something that must hurt them.

  3. bleuallen2 says:

Don’t forget two touch down passes.

    And no turnovers

Very simple coop, we wenty to the “black hole” and lit them up! You definately missed a good game. Especially the 2nd half. An entirely different Bronco team came out of the locker room than what went in at halftime.

Bringing a LIGHT into the black hole, and the demons start screaming in agony. And we WON! Ha!

You missed a good one, Coop!

It wasn’t always pretty, but you can see that #15 is getting better every week. Most of all, I just loved the fact that we did to the Raiders what they’ve been doing to us in recent years – running the ball right down their throats. They basically gave up on McGahee’s last TD. I was sitting in the stadium in Oakland and just loving the fact that we were teeing off on them in the 4th quarter. It was also nice watching Von pin his ears back and get to the QB over and over and over late in the 4th (got robbed of a sack thanks to a penalty, too).

Looking forward to KC – hoping that we can do the same to them. Can’t get behind there, though – it turns Arrowhead into a house of horrors. I’d like to see the offense come out and hit a couple passes early to help Tebow find a rhythm and then pound away with the run game.

    Go Broncos!

Great game coop! Our D did a great job of stoping their offense which was actually effective. And our offense just pounded the ball! Tebow had a good series right after the half throwing the ball which kinda got him rolling!

Haha… Best for me was, it was military appreciation day so the FTR paid for my ticket! I was on the field at the beginning of the game for the flag detail. As we walked the Broncos sideline I was able to voice by support to the boys! And as we walked in, turned out I was in position to give the team captions high fives as they walked on the field for the coin toss!!! Amazing Day!

Tebow – burned OAK with a couple of passes, which opened up some running lanes, and slowed the rush, and OAK had no idea whether it was Tebow or McG comin’ at ‘em. That was pretty. By the fourth the Broncos no longer needed a passing game.

McGahee – was running downhill all game. He was even beating the Raiders around the edges. Sweet! I would have left most of the wing stuff to Moreno but no…It was McG.

O-Line – McG was virtually untouched clearing the line on both TD runs. Walton blew a hole in Raider defense that a train could have been driven through. Franklin was given a little help and Tebow was protected….mostly! Clady had a couple of holding penalties late that I figure were trade offs with sacks.

Decker – and Tebow seem to be getting on the same page with a minor exception when Tebow overthrew him badly.

Royal – Dropped two but the one he caught – well you’ve seen the results on replay. Looked good in special teams. Royal definitely has wheels.

Defense – was solid. Champ got burned twice. The first time it was by a well thrown pass. Champ rolls around, catches the receiver and strips the ball within the tackle. Pretty and revenge is sweet – but unfortunately Raiders recovered. The second time Champ had the opportunity to prevent Bush from going into the endzone and Bush took to the air over him. Champ slipped to the ground. Bush paid for that one. I think it was Goody who folded Bush up in the endzone. I was glad to see Bush get up. That was a spine snapper. Champ got them back. His first INT was all him. Champ forced the rec. to the outside and made a perfect play on the ball. The rec. was in danger of the PI. Champ was on it and looked the pro- bowler he is. Champ picked up another INT forced by Miller to close out the game. Goody got burned by two rather perfect Carson passes. Goody had them played as tight as is possible, they were just good passes. Wilhite was solid. Von-Doom was a highlight you shouldn’t miss. Harris is catching everyone’s attention, coupled with a pic – this guy is a keeper!

The second quarter was boring but the rest of the game was all Broncos. If it were a boxing match I’d say that rounds one, three, and four, went to the Broncos with the knockout punch being Royal on special teams – taking it to the house.

It’s Tuesday morning and I’m still exhilarated!

Hey Cooper – I’d be interested in a blog from you on the evolution of the game. Especially focused on the necessary points of this evolution as opposed to the evolution that has been driven by either the fan base or player skills and personalities.

First play from scrimmage, Rahid Moore goes down making a play for the ball, and stays down, also nearly taking out a fellow Bronco player. Prayers go out silently to Moore, and, even as a mere spectator fan, my “game face” turns grimmer… The game injuries continue, and substitutions seem to mount – Coach Fox is, how shall we say?, becoming very agitated on the sideline….we then see Brian Dawkins, getting his leg bent backward awkwardly, in what might end his season, all one can hope is that it doesn’t end his career…speaking personally as a spectator/viewer, by this time I’m a little too numb to really respond emotionally to the fact that Dawkins is back in the game, a few plays later.

Just some of the aspects of the game, Mr. Cooper, that might not have made the highlight reels.

  12. daddybronc says:

POK – I forgot about that start – selective memory!!

  13. strandoftds says:

The Denver Post yesterday said that Moore was actually knocked unconscious. Ouch.

One of the best team wins I’ve ever seen with contributions by all groups on both sides of the ball and special teams. You missed a good one Coop, that was the most I’ve enjoyed a Bronco win in a long time. It’s just hard to beat a thumping of the Raiders! Now it’s time to scalp the Chiefs! Go Broncos!

Can’t believe you missed the game!
Next time you go somewhere, take a radio with you.
That way you know what’s happening. I don’t have cable, but I
have the internet and the radio online to keep track of the game!
It was a great game!! Tebow, Royal, McGahee, and all the Broncos
    did a 180 and a 360 on the Raiders!!!
    Go Broncos!!
