Wow, like I mentioned last week. Dangerous territory when you have a team like K.C. winless and coming off 12 consecutive losses.
I had to repeat what I said on the 25th as I’m not sure everyone saw it. See below.
Interesting looking at stats this week. We’re the No. 1 offense in the AFC and No. 16 in defense in the AFC. On top and on the bottom. I’ve never seen that before and was a little perplexed, thinking, weird. The Saints defense is #14 in the NFC and Raiders are No. 10 in the AFC and Chargers are No. 15, all partially because of our success against them, keep in mind.
So we have a lot of improving to do before you can leave the TV set and not miss a big play
)…. I may be O.K. with that as long as we win.
Whoops, we got run all over. I need some help from you all this week I was in Miami at a 30th High School Reunion and offshore fishing on Sunday and had to dodge some of the heaviest rain stroms I’ve seen in along time getting off the water Sunday…then listening to the scores and watching ESPN into the evening.
Help me here?? What happened ((overall)) other than 198 yards by Johnson a two interceptions by Jay and two other turnovers?
Just looking at the stats, I would have said turnovers and rushing yards against us??…correct?
Also, glad Clifford Russell is O.K.

Well, here’s my take on what happened.
KC’s defense came up big early. They were fired up and the crowd got into it. This stalled our offense in the first half.
Second half things started to fall appart on offense. The biggest problem was that we didn’t capitalize when we had the ball. (even worse, 3 turnovers).
All in all it seemed like KC found a way to stop our momentum from starting, and that’s all it took. The defense looked better this week, but they spent too much time on the field which afforded big plays.
I’m actually pretty optomistic for next week. The boys will come out pissed’ off and success will follow!!
It’s funny how turnovers pretty much dictate a score like that even with good numbers on the offensive side of the ball. You can move the ball up and down the field but if you turn it over, it’s reflective of the score regardless of the stats.
I said last week that K.C. was dangerous and a coaches worst nightmare because at this level any team can beat the other on any given day…and they did. It’s tough to keep the same velocity going week in and week out unless you’re the Patriots or the Colts and even they have faultered when they looked undefeatable.
I like the direction we’re headed and we’ll have to come up with some schemes to stop the run. So I’m looking forward to this weeks game too!!
Go Broncos!!!
Coop, they brought out everything they had at us. It was a case where a winless team is going to give everything they had. Like that skinny kid that lands a couple wild punches in a fight and knocks out the bully. We got knocked out.
I’ll tip my hat to KC cause they didn’t buy into any hype and played a very good game against us. The defense was schemed well and brought pressure and I’m sure a lot of opponents will follow suit and try the same things.
Now I just want to see how the team responds to the loss.
Coop, your right this Team will bounce back & I’m glad to hear Cliff is allright.
obviousley jay is more comfortable in the shot gun but that does’nt help the run. I don’t think the D is as bad as the #s state but they need some help, they give up big chuncks but play tough in the red zone.
The Team just needs to find thier identity by doing what they do best & working on what they don’t. Keep pushin! This Team is better than this and we all know it !
Yardo, nice analogy
)…like we’ve discussed, tough league to turn the ball over in. Rarely can you win with 4 turnovers unless you are a plus+ at the end of the game (that means: you got more than you gave)
Monodono, your on to something…identity..didn’t think of it that way but I agree with that. Maybe Beauty and the Beast will have a big Sunday.
This weeks game is kind of special for me. The two Teams I played for are matching up!!! Broncos-Bucs
Guess who I’m rooting for………………Yep, Go Broncos!!!
I’m taking my two boys 9 & 13 to the game, so I’m looking forward to a fun Sunday.
If you run into me say Hi!!!
