Just Win!!!
It’s funny to listen to broadcasters and the highlight commentators talk about the lack of passing after the game, etc. As a former O-lineman it was a dream game. “Ground and Pound” away and dominate the line of scrimmage. Mix it up, trap, option, toss, keep them off pace and then toss a few passes to keep them from crowding the line of scrimmage too much. Let’s catch a few of those fellas off guard and make it even more complex to read.
The game goes fast, clock keeps ticking as you tire the defensive linemen out. You slice and dice and run a nice trap play on the goal line to score, and Tebow runs it in as the left guard crosses the formation for the trap block.
KC tries to regroup on the sideline and the defense is stingy. Von and Doom keep the pressure on, we give up a few scrambles up the middle and the defense bends but doesn’t break. A couple of those passes get intercepted and the game would have been a runaway.
Love the O-line now??? Man oh man, do I love to watch smashmouth football. Not real exciting for the average fan that wants an aerial attack, but WIN BABY WIN!!!
Short week worries me a little with McGahee beat up but great game Ball and Larsen AND the “D.” Jets Thursday night!!!! Can’t wait to see the gameplan for this one. Watched the Pats-Jets last night and the Jets defense brings a whole new game plan.
GO BRONCOS!!

Oh noooo!!!
Coop comes up with the Raiders motto, LOL
Other than for the baby part, LOL.
No actually the baby thing is in there too, LMAO, played the Raiders way too many times Coop, haha.
And love to get it done in the trenches, I’m a trench man all the way.
Repost from last blog
Just went to Jets site to see what they up to ahead of the thursday’s game, and was really surprised to see the following blog about Sanchez this morning. It really reminded me conversation about Orton on this site, some times word to word. By the way, the majority of people who commented agreed 100% with the following statement:
“I’ve always liked Sanchez, and always believed he would turn into the QB we all hoped for. I can no longer say that.
He just faced the worst passing defense in the entire NFL and he could not move the ball. I find it extremely hard to believe that receivers like Holmes. Plax & Keller were blanketed all night long by no name, 3rd string DBs. I think it’s far more likely that Sanchez is just not a very good QB, and never will be.
On a couple of those sacks, a good QB steps up into the pocket to get a bit more time and at least attempts a throw. Mark either crumbles to the ground or gets tackled 7 yards behind the LOS.
I think he panics and gets flustered. Are you really going to tell me that with the receivers we have, that nothing is open more that 6 yards downfield?
He does not have the ability to take control of a game. If things start going down hill he has a hard time recovering.
And finally, how many freaking times have we seen him throw to the outside, only to hit the safety, that he once again didn’t see, right in the gut for a pick 6?
I know that the D missed some picks and that the run game wasn’t there, but elite QBs take those opportunities and carry their team on their back. Sanchez cannot do that and he never will.”
Hi Bay – can you start a competition for predicting the correct number of sacks by the Broncos each game
seing as I can’t seem to get any points with my score predictions this would be a consolation price… in fairness I did say 3 sacks would come from Batman and Robin and only 2 did… so didn’t get that quite right but the total of 4 was correct.
For the score prediction this week I was way off witha 31-17 Broncos win but not mad enough to make WOS…
Sanchez could easily have the same kind of career as Leinhart, fast falling into mediocrity.
And even coach Ryan said of Sanchez’ called time out before the end of the first half last night that it was the stupidest thing he’d ever seen on a football field, not exactly building the young QB’s confidence. The Jets have a QB situation of their own that’s becoming pretty evident.
I imagine Coop may not have been as excited watching a broncos game since we won the SB. Haha.
Nice post Coop! As always, one of my favorite blogs. Love hearing the thoughts of a former player for the Broncos.
Yeah and one who played for Elway no less, Coop is the bombdigitty, LOL, right BFE?
For me this is a tough game to try to predict. First, I think the jets probably win, but it is painful for me to predict a Broncos loss.
Second, we have had the jets number for a while. Even last year, when we were worse and the jets were better, it was only a last second pass interference call (goodman) that gave the Jets the ball at the 1 that stopped us from winning that game.
Third, imo the jets are way over-rated. They can put together some great games, but they aren’t consistent.
Anyway, all that being said, I’m crossing my fingers.
20-24, broncos win a nail biter.
Speaking of Leinhart, he’ll be starting for Schaub due to injury.
alexanserg, not that it REALLY matters, but if my memory serves, it was Renaldo Hill that committed the interference penalty. You are right, though, that we have had their number recently.
Just watched that Tebow PC after the KC game. Just to be clear, I don’t think I have ever watched a college team, and if I had a favorite college team it would be PSU (JT is from there) and I am agnostic.
But I just love the way TT approaches the game. It don;t know how much of what he says is just PR stuff. He just has so much humility (talking about how the teams he has been on just make him LOOK good, and such), and yet at the same time such a strong desire to play and win, and so on.
It’s hard to imagine this guy won’t get it done.
Pounding it out in the run game is great, but when we do pass we have to complete more than just 2 passes. There were at least 2 passes that should have been caught but were dropped. Tebow needs to stop thinking to much about his passes & just let it go. Thinking to much causes him to be off target. When he just throws the ball & not think about it he’s right on target.
RO, oh yeah, I think you are right.
After the morning lull, new blogs coming up fast and furious, new one up!
I’ve gotta say, also, that I am less than impressed with Mark Sanchez. He seems like the type that starts hearing footsteps after he’s hit once or twice. LOL, I’d imagine he’s already hearing Von Doom coming! Semper Broncos!!! Drill the Jets on Pick n’ Sack Thursday!
I’m 100% with you Coop! As long as the ball is moving, I’m excited. I love watching the other guy’s D-line get mauled, pushed around and embarrassed (like ours was last year). Sure, I like to see great passes and catches, but I love to see wins more!
Jet Defense – 8th overall

Nice Coop, I like what I have to hear.
LMAO@bay!
rbf1…..we don’t have to worry about their pass D….we don’t pas…LMAO!
Pass a kidney stone maybe.
Mean, poor savinghyrule.
Fox said in his interview today,”i saw tebow throw a short pass in the dirt that was right in front of me, but thats ok because it was tight coverage and id rather see a ball in the dirt than an interception.its all good”
My question is, if Tebow gets more accurate will he throw more interceptions?
weird question i know lol
I’m with you Coop, I love watching a good o-line work in the trenches. Nothing more demoralizing than for the opposition. I get more excited watching those big holes up and 60 yard runs. Pile dring those linebackers and safties. Pancake! Gotta love it. The Cheifs knew we were going to run and they couldn’t stop it. Hats off to the o-lineand coach Magazu, they are doing a great job! Go Broncos!
royalbroncofan1, nice stat reminder and so how exciting is it with a defense we all know needs some more d-lineman and has been beat up most of the year and sitting at 18th…geeeez, I say way to go coaches.
Now add/sprinkle a few more players more players into the mix on the D-line and DB’ and maybe another linebacker and what do yu have….A Ravens-Steelers look alike defense the way they fly around and the attitude this “D” has. My hats off to that group.
Short week to heal up, but the CBA leads to that as they don’t have the tough practices we had back in the day…so ice it up and get going Thursday Night.
TheHorseWhisperer7, interesting question?? Let’s see what the rest of you folks think….curious. hmmmm?
broncofan9137, yes the drops didn;t help the stats did they?
alexanserg, thanks and BAY, you always keep it interesting and yea you caught me…funny…and yea did play the Raiders to many times but always a dog fight…and I dont give them credit for that cliche….Raiders had to steal it form somewhere.
)
So Bay and ALL, do you think we are starting a new fad/trend…running the ball more….just yukked it up on Mac and Doog on 1510AM radio and I posed the question..Trend Setters??…back in the day we wanted a 60-40 run to pass and we had Elway……What up??? hahahaha!!!
Thursday night comes quick..GO BRONCOS!!
Hey Mark! Long time no hear. Hope all is well with you and yours.
